Reflective Commentary

INTRODUCTION
Academic Reflection refers to the use of certain methods and techniques through which a
detailed analysis of the activities which happened in the past can be made in a proper manner
(Alharbi and Alzahrani, 2020). This can be useful so that the identification of the shortcomings
can be made and therefore the right approach can be adopted for the future. In this essay, a
detailed and specific focus will be made on the use of reflection to reflect back on the Academic
Performance so that the improvements can be made for the future.
MAIN BODY
Analysis of gained knowledge-
In our OSHE classes we were given an explanation on a wide range of topics in detail
quite effectively and efficiently. Therefore, it is quite important for the students to make sure that
they are able to attend these classes so that they are able to develop their knowledge quite
comprehensively which will be quite helpful for them to make sure that the attainment of the
future goals and objectives (Bernad-Mechó, 2021). Thus these particular classes helped us a lot
in understanding the way in which bringing various improvements can help us to make progress
in the future. Also, these classes are useful so that the students are able to identify their doubts
and problems and ask them to the teachers so that the teachers are able to provide a solution
which will help them a lot in improving themselves in the Academic Subjects. Therefore, in this
way it can be stated that the students should regularly attend the classes so that their
concentration and focus increases which will help them a lot.
Some of the important topics which were discussed were Time management, Team work
and Presentation skills. Therefore, the study of these topics provides the students with the
necessary skills which can help them a lot in the future so that they are able to find out their
weaknesses and remove them appropriately.
The students can gain knowledge in the following areas through attending these classes-
Time management- The use of Time management can be made so that the proper
management of time can be carried out in a right manner. Therefore, in this way it can be stated
that I am able to make sure that I can manage out my time in a proper way which will therefore
help me in the future so that the right way of managing out the tasks can be used to attain the
future goals and objectives. Therefore, the students should manage their time properly by

dividing their time according to the various types of tasks and this will be quite useful for them
in properly utilizing their time.
It is very crucial that the management of the needs and requirements can be made by
making its use so that the own efficiency and effectiveness can be enhanced which will be quite
helpful in the future.
Team work- It is quite important that the appropriate display of Team work can be made
so that the teams are able to work in quite a proper manner. Therefore, in this way it can be
stated that the teams should be set goals and objectives to be attained in the future so that they
are able to follow the appropriate processes and methods for the purpose of attainment of these
goals and objectives (Blackmore, 2020).
Team work is needed so that the teams are able to work according to the goals and
objectives which they have been provided in the future. In this way, the members of the team can
develop a proper team spirit which will thus allow them to ensure that the use of cooperation and
coordination can be made so that the attainment of the goals and objectives in the future can be
done easily.
Presentation skills- It is absolutely necessary that the overall presentation of the
information can be done quite effectively and efficiently. Therefore, in this way it can be stated
that the attainment of the future goals and objectives can be made in a proper manner. The use of
these particular skills can be made so that the overall presentation of the information can be
made in a right way (Boncori, 2020).
The presentation of the information is quite important to be done because this helps in
increasing the particular interest of the viewers and therefore it is essential that the presentation
of information can be done using attractive methods and techniques which will thus allow in
ensuring that the viewers are able to understand the information in a better way (Hwang, 2020).
Development of these skills is also helpful for a person in particular to be able to make
sure that the right level of confidence can be gained in a proper manner (Miyane, 2020). Thus, in
this way it can be stated that the development of this type of confidence can help a lot in the
future for attaining the goals and objectives in the short-term, medium-term and long-term. This
will be particularly quite helpful in managing the overall level of needs and requirements.
Analysis of performance-

It is quite important to make sure that a comprehensive analysis of performance can be
made (Veine and et.al., 2020). Therefore, it is very essential that the use of a reflection model
can be made so that the analysis of performance can be made in the right manner. The use of

Therefore, in this way it can be stated that a person here is able to understand the situation and
take actions accordingly. In OSHE classes, we learnt about the various types of topics and
therefore in this manner this was quite helpful for us in ensuring a development of thorough
understanding about these topics in particular in the right manner.
Feelings- This is the stage where the details of the feelings during the experience can be
shared. Therefore, in this way it can be stated that a person can make sure that the sharing of
feelings developing during the experience can be done. While attending OSHE classes, we were
able to make sure that we develop positive feelings while studying about the topics. This
experience will be helpful for us in the future.
Evaluation- This is the stage where the evaluation of the situation is required to be carried
out. Therefore, in this way it can be stated that I was able to learn a lot by attending the OSHE
classes because they helped in a comprehensive development of my personality in the future in
particular. Therefore, it can be stated that this stage was helpful for my overall development in a
proper manner quite effectively and efficiently.
Conclusions- This is the stage where the drawing of the conclusions can be done in a
proper manner. Thus, in this way I can state that through attending the OSHE classes I was able
to manage out the different types of needs and requirements in quite a proper manner effectively
and efficiently in the future. In this way, I can say that I was able to make sure that I learnt about
the skills and competencies through the study of these topics which was quite helpful for me.
Action- This is the stage where the development of an Action plan is done to deal with a
similar type of situation in the future. I can state that by attending the OSHE classes I was able to
prepare an Action plan so that I can develop the actions to be taken in the future so that I am
able to progress in a right way in the future. In this way, the identification of the overall
shortcomings can be made in the right manner and they can be removed which will therefore

help in the attainment of the future goals and objectives and thus lead towards an enhancement in
the overall level of efficiency and effectiveness.
Strength- I am a good communicator and therefore I am able to communicate with the
different types of people and thus this can be quite helpful for me in building good networks
which will be quite helpful for me in the future in a proper manner.
Challenge- I am not good in problem-solving and therefore this can create a particular
level of impact on me as I am not able to assess the ways in which the problems can be solved.
CONCLUSION
From the above essay, it can be concluded that Academic Reflection is the way through
which a proper reflection on the past can be made which will be quite helpful in ensuring that the
conclusions and recommendations can be drawn in a proper manner. Therefore, it is quite
