INTRODUCTION
In individual life, reflecting and recalling experience is essential as it help in refreshment of
mind set. Learning gets improved by accessing to reflection & experience in proper manner. With
help of reflection, it become easy to sharp mind & focus point (Benveniste, 2019). It is crucial to
focus on self identity so that goals of person become more clear. Through this, individual is able to
examine themselves in effective manner. Main aim of this report is to understand the reflection in
individual, life. This report comprises of reflection on different topics divided into three tasks.
MAIN BODY
Task 1
Reflect critically on what you read, what's most interesting or meaningful to you, how it links to
other things you've read or your own experience and anything you agree or disagree with.
According to me, I have seen a wooden box which consist of many things that denotes
something. I have seen a identity box of blue colour that represents the sky and the sea which I love
very most. Then in that identity box, seen is there which is the lights and optimism it brings.
Mussels in the box is the another thing which is mentioned in the box, as this says that how much I
love oceans. Then the small stone that is kept in the identity box shows that there are significant
events in my life which are for very few days. Then another is icon that symbolizes a God, as
without him I cannot survive in this world. Then Hope candle in the box symbolizes the England
country, and this is very true because my hope is sometimes connected to the England. Where I
want to explore myself in my future. As I am very brave I can handle my situation by my own. The
flower kept in the box shows that all the living things, my administration and my how much I m
joyful. Then this contains of my two dead boys first is little angle and another is heart who is my
everything. He is my hand and soul. Bells in the box shows that from where I come from that is
from Bulgaria and I want to make by future in England. Then the dog in identity box is my best
friend who is always ready to play with me and I love to watch movies. The passion of mine is to
listen music with my headphones. Then Eiffel tower in my box represents that I am a good traveller
and love to do journeys. And then lastly spoon in the box symbolizes that I could be a housewife
and a mother both. These all things consist of my identity box (Pan, Z., 2017).
One thing that I find most interesting or meaningful is that Hope candles that I love and that
also symbolizes England which is my future. I have came from Bulgaria to make my future in
England where I can fulfils my all dreams and make many journeys with my cute and disciplined
dog. I m very thoughtful and faithful that I can live my with full enjoyment. This wooden box

things gives me an identity that helps in increasing my hopeless and making more organised. I am
agree with the point that I love oceans and sky very much because they give me hope that I can
finds new skills and capabilities to make my future. Then I m disagree with the point that I can be a
housewife because if I want to make my future bright then I cannot be a housewife. I am generous
and want to explore the world.
TASK 2
Reflection
After a watching video, I have improved my thinking about learning concept. This is
because this video shows and depicts who we are & how identity changes by external forces as well
as internal forces. According to Hetain Patel, in video he said that it is essential to realise who we
are so that our behaviour as well as identity is reflected accordingly. Also, in video he said about
that identity of a person is affected by others actions for example- he linked his identity &
behaviour with his father and explains that more he imitate & try to become like his father more he
is able to clearly reflects his personality & become aware about new unique things. This was one
of most beneficial part of video which is analysed after watching it.
Further, he also gave examples of stars like Bruce Lee, as he said that to become cup one
needs to be like a cup. He also shows about difference between Indian & other countries like
culture, value, ethics. Hetain reflects that he did not learn to sit in Indian way by his own but by
watching spiderman films. Furthermore, video shows about that most of people identity are being
imitated by other individual in society & community but it is useful to copy as it reflects something
uniqueness. This was most liked line by me which was said by Hetain Patel as he reflected with his
Chinese Translator & try to copy her voice & accents (Callahan, 2018). A short silent play was
played by both individual on identity of person. They both were communicating with each other &
were delivering useful ,message to audience about how one identity changes with period of time.
TASK 3
Reflection
This reflection is about book which was read in class & was edited by Woodwards
Questioning identity: gender, class, ethnicity (Woodward, 2018). As, first section was already
discussed in class in which it tells about who am I. In this, it tells about process of stereotyping &
inequalities in relation between individual & outside world. In this section, it also shows that
identity involves link between personal & social, active engagement by those who take up
identities. Moreover, in question of Who am I, social scientists Madan Sarup shows his passport as
proof of identity. Then in section of who are you, what can social tell us has been explained. In this

it shows that & includes certain characteristics such as how I see myself & how other see me, it is
marked by similarity & difference etc.
Further everyday interaction has been explained for example, interaction has deep impact
on individual identity for example- a student influences teacher need to be first convinced by
themselves that they are student.
In section 3, structure as well as agency are being linked to concept of identity. In this it
reflects about how identities are formed when people take up identities. In table 1.1, agency and
structure has been given. Mead, Goffman & Freud has been shown with process & procedures. The
agency and structure play important role in formation of individual identity. It is essential to
critically understand these procedures of agency so that evaluation is done in appropriate manner.
After reading book, I have changed my viewpoint regarding person thinking as well as self identity.
So, every person is heterogeneous in nature which shows that on basis of behaviour & attitude
identity is being formulated. Most meaningful thing which I read in this book was about agency and
structure procedure which are responsible for formation of identity. This is because it clearly
reflects how one is influenced by process of agency and outside world (González-Calvo, 2017).
Therefore, from above discussed reflections it is seen that it is essential to use reflection
which help person in development of more new ideas & improving sharpness of mind.
Furthermore, it is also seen that identity is need to be developed at continuous level of learning.
Thus, during reflection appropriate type of critical thinking is required to be used when recalling
experience.

TASK 4
CONCLUSION
After a brief analysis of report, it has been concluded that it is crucial for individual to
focus on self identity so that making decision become easier. So, discussions have been made about
reflection on identity on different sector. Thus, it has been evaluated that a person who is unaware
about self identity & personality, cannot survive in proper manner. Further more self evaluation is
needed to be done which is beneficial for person growth as well as development. In both
professional or personal life of person, identity of person play important role. So, observing,
learning, reflection helps in identifying identity of individual in correct way. Focus has been about
different aspects, processes of identity which affects human nature at wider scale. All above
discussed portfolio reflection states that appropriate knowledge is required at all aspects of life.
