This discussion in the assignment is focused over the different kind of impact that would
be created with the use of different forms of tools and technologies that are used in Project
Management (PM). The project is discussed on the depiction of the renovation for the Beachside
Cottage. The project is based on the designing and discussing of strategies that have been helpful
for developing the project. During the development of the strategies of the project, there is a
wide range of the use of the different tools and techniques that would be useful for understanding
the different aspects in relation to project management.
The discussion in this essay focuses over the project management approach that have
been used for designing each of the aspects of the project. In this essay, I am going to discuss
about the ways in which I have been benefited by designing each of the project. I have been
working with my team in defining each of the aspects in relation to the project. The project had
discussed for using the different tools such as RACI chart, Gantt chart and Work Breakdown
Structure. During performing of work over the project, I have defined the risks that might
approach towards the project. These risks that have been defined for understanding the problems
that might occur within the project. Based on the discussion over the risks, a risk management
plan have also been discussed within the report. The procedure for change management have
also been discussed within the report. The different forms of change management procedures
have also been identified within the report. The involvement of stakeholders within the report
have also been discussed within the research. This helps in the understanding the concerns of the
stakeholders within the research and the ways in which they could affect the outcomes for the
project. The understanding of such factors have been highly helpful for progressing the work
over the project.

Based on working over each of the aspects defined within the research, I have been able
to gather a vast idea of knowledge about designing of the Gantt chart and WBS for the project.
During the designing of the Gantt chart for the project, I have clearly discussed each of the
activities with my team members. These activities have been chosen as per the suitable factors
that need to be implemented for the project and the successive areas. The activities that were
needed to be designed for the project would include the activities that need to be critical for the
project. We had also designed the RACI chart in order to determine the areas in which each of
the stakeholders involved within the project team would be assigned for performing each kind of
activity. I had designed the stakeholder prioritization matrix in the project that have been able to
list the different factors in relation to the project. The communication matrix of the project have
been helpful for me to understand bout the different kind of aspects in relation to the project. The
different aspects in relation with the project include the different lessons that have been learnt
from stakeholders, the aspects that might be shared with stakeholders, timing based on
communicating, mode of communication and owners of such stakeholders. The time estimation
defined during the project would be helpful in understanding about the different activities and the
proper time required for performing for every kind of activity.
However, during the development of the project, I have highly engaged with my team
members in gathering knowledge for designing every kind of activity. During the designing of
the project and the related aspects, I have been able to engage with my friends. I have also made
a wide form of research over different literatures and academic sources based on understanding
the different aspects in relation to project management topics.
The insights that have drawn by me from this project is that I have been able to learn
different forms of aspects and the use of tools and techniques in relation to the domain of project

management. Based on drawing the idea of the Gantt chart, AoN, preparing the resource list, I
have drawn several forms of ideas based on designing activities necessary for any project.
During the performing of each of the activities of the project, I have gained idea about preparing
a proper project management plan that would be put into action. During the preparing of the
Gantt chart, I have assumed the name of the resources that would need to be included within the
project. I have assigned the proper manpower of the resources in hours. After defining the
resource list for the Gantt chart, I have assigned each of the resources with each of the activities
that would be performed by them. After assigning of the resources in the project, I have been
able to estimate the entire cost of the project. The process of defining such activities could have
been further improved by making a detailed analysis over the work areas.
From the work over the project, I have been able to understand the use of different tools
and techniques that might be used in the areas of project management. The project was based on
preparing an activity of design for renovating a cottage. In this project, I had to prepare the RACI
chart, stakeholder communication list, defining a budget for the project and perform many other
activities. I had always been helped by my friends with whom I have performed the work over
the project. I am satisfied by working with my team. We have incorporated the ideas developed
by studying the academic journals in relation to project management. I feel very happy to design
the project. With the ideas gained from performing the current project, I would be able to
perform different other projects with proper knowledge. Hence, I would like to conclude that this
project has helped in developing of ideas for designing any kind of project with the help of
proper project management tools and techniques.
