Gibb’s reflective cycle model
It is based on the reflective cycle which consider one of most famous model and
reflection of leading through different stage to make sense of experience. In order to offer as
framework for examining personal experience towards pulse measurement (Markkanen,
Välimäki and Kuuskorpi, 2020). It is becoming consider as a great experience which allows to
learn and plan from either went well. I have used the Gibb’s reflective model for exploring the
situation myself. When I have been participated in the Pulse measurement assessment class.
During session, I have been shared own experience in step by step manner. It mainly covered the
six different stages:
Description
I am reflecting on the assessment which mainly offered me clear idea about the pulse
measurement and respiration rate. So it become easier for me to relate what I have learnt during
assessment. I have analysed that able to demonstrate a developing an ability to meet own
knowledge. My primary motivate is to improve own ability and capability towards the
assessment. I am required to reflect the specific skill that have been taught and practice related to
the assessment of pulse measurement (Young, 2020). Furthermore, I have determined that
practical nursing lab improve own understanding towards practical as well as psychological
aspects. In order to assess vital sign and technique to measure the pulse such as percussion,
auscultation, palpation and inspection. During Assessment, I have understand about the concept
of pulse measurement.
Feelings
During group presentation, I have experience about the mixture of feeling, emotional
distress, and resentment towards the assessment. Initially, I have feeling so much nervous due to
lack of participation during assessment. I have realized that there are lot of negative emotion
which began that I have controlled emotion, feelings. Sometimes, I have encouraging themselves
to clear all doubt during assessment (Markkanen, Välimäki and Kuuskorpi, 2020). It became
easier for me to gain more and more knowledge about the pulse measurement topic. Although, I
have believed that positive nature, attitude, behavior always support for developing own
thoughts, belief. In order to improve own performance and efficiency during assessment within

I have shown positive experience during assessment where I contribution as spoke
person. This made me feel valued that colleagues recognized my efforts during pulse assessment.
In most of case, A flow was increased the disappointment, I did not encourage the speak concern
about gaining more knowledge during assessment (Markkanen, Välimäki and Kuuskorpi, 2020).
Sometimes, I feel shameful for putting myself as uncomfortable environment which closely
working colleague during assessment. In my personal experience, I did not feel consider the
various tasks but personal experience help for me to recognize the current situation. Furthermore,
I have developed the self-confidence level to understand the logical concept behind pulse
measurement.
Critical analysis
In this section, I have the proper level of analysing the presence of my skill as being a health
actioner in the area of assessing the patient and critical thinking over the aspects. My ability will
analysed on the basis of their comprehensively conduct assessments which is more level of
related to Criteria 4 of the ANSAT which have been used when I am on clinical placement
(Patterson and et.al., 2016). As per the criteria 4 in order to have the province of the safe and
goal-oriented heath care. the health person should have the proper skill assessment along with
critically analysing the deviation and expected outcome in timelier and ensuring accuracy
manner.
The way of technical skill , I have analysed that’s I am able to perform the partially activities as
I was able to have proper level of locating the pulse rates but have failed to notice the
systematic rhythm or the power of pulse (Li and et.al.,2020). I have the lack of concentration
over my wok which have resulted in inaccurate level of reading.
I have realised that it is important for nurses to give the through presence of mind over the
completion of procedures along with assuring the comfort zone of patient.
Conclusion
This reflection has helped to have the critical level of overview regarding my strength and
weakness which will have clear level of impact on the personality development. Due to this is
have helped myself in kore level of identification regarding my mistake and lack of perception in
experience and opportunities to relate with health care system.

In order to have improvement in the further situation, I have pay major attention over my
presence of mind as in order to make the minimal level of mistakes while carrying out the

in will pay more level of attention over the rhythm and strength of pulse (Reljić, Pajnkihar and
Fekonja, 2019). In addition to that’s the chest movement will be also recorded to make my
finding properly display in the clinical charts. In addition to that’s I will make myself more
confidence without getting no more nervous situation as this will help my patient to became
more comfortable.
