REFLECTION
There are different set of skills that are required in order to complete a given task.
Working in a team with three other members, I was able to develop my understanding and skills
that supports in completing the given task. We have presented the SWOT analysis of Coca-Cola
as one of successful business house. One of the most important skills that is required to complete
the task was related with communication. When there is proper interaction, then it becomes
helpful enough to reduce the rate of confusions. In this context, we had to divide the work so that
it can be effectively completed. Further, the rate of coordination is raised when members get to
know each other (Bruun, Lammers and Sørensen, 2013). At the initial stage, I was not able to
understand the roles due to lack of communication. With this respect, I personally spent time and
understood them and then proper plan was made in which work was divided. Further, there are
many links that are available in which SWOT analysis is done for Coca-Cola Company. This
increases the rate of confusion in order to select the most appropriate link for the completed the
task. It is important for me to have a proper analysis of skills so that I am able to get the most
relevant data. For this purpose, members were highly helpful and they were able to support me to
find out appropriate information with respect to the cited firm.
In order to develop the skills in which I lack, I made use of Kolb's learning cycle. This is
a type of learning process that enables to develop those skills which are required. This model
was formed in the year 1984 and consist of four different stages. It is step by step process that
enables to develop understanding and in making use of effective strategies to develop the skills
which are required. It is a type of theory that enables to develop learning from day to day
experience from life (Kolb's Learning Cycle, 2013). With this respect, below given are the stages
of Kolb's learning cycle:
Experience: This is a type of stage in which one needs to identify the areas in which
improvement is required. In this context, I have interacted with team members and identified that
I lack communication skills. I realised that it is important attribute that helps to develop strong
bond with others. When there is lack of communication, then it becomes difficult to understand
the task that has to be performed (Priest, 2014). Further, I also have lack of understanding for the
topic and so I faced issues in selecting the right sources for completing the given task.
Reflection: It is thinking about “what is experienced?” and “what is being done?” There
are individuals who are able to make analysis of the performance that are made by them. Further,

there are individuals who get training by observing other and understand the performance or the
type of experience that are developed by themselves. With this respect, I am able to review the
experience and the type of performance that is done by me. In this context, I have identified that
the type of communication skills that I possess is not effective and I also lack research skills.
Conceptualise: In the stage, proper analysis is made for the understanding and to
determine the ways with the help of which the skills that are required can be developed. For
adopting single type of performance, there are different types of alternative ways that can be
used. In order words, as per the experience that was gained, hypothesis is generated (Travers,
Morisano and Locke, 2015). There are different sets of perceptions that individuals have; and
when the thinking is positive, then it becomes favourable enough to understand the areas in
which one lacks and to develop steps through which improvement can be made.
Plan: In order to develop learning for the type of skills that are required for the task to be
completed, there are different set of ways that are identified. In this context, one of the strategies
to raise communication or interaction is by sharing the task that is given. It enables to develop
understanding for the same.
The experience of completing the task of SWOT of Coca-Cola Company was helpful
enough to develop understanding to know lack of communication and research skills. Members
were helpful enough to support and develop these skills. This has encouraged me enough to
boost up the moral and put all my efforts so that the given task can be completed in an effective
manner.
