INTRODUCTION
Reflective learning is the process or an ability which an individual person experience and
express their learning from their own experience and make people aware about the learnings.
The report will describe the importance of reflective writing and its benefits from which an
individual person can be able to understand it in better way and can utilize and learn in their own
life (Zajic and Maksimovic, 2020). It also includes the reflection section of a person which they
had learned during their academic sessions which will make the individual person to understand
appropriately.

Reflective practise
Reflective writing and practise is a skill and ability which is very effective and beneficial
for the person to adopt this knowledge and can ensure their continuous development and own
personal development. By learning and understanding the reflective writing method and process
enables the person to grow in their personal and professional life as well. There are different
types of reflective models from which here describing the two models which are mostly utilized
by the people as it creates a better understanding to them.
Gibbs reflection
The Gibbs reflection model in consisted of six stages which helps the individual person to
be capable of writing the reflective writing appropriately (Sweet, Bass and et.al., 2019). The six
stages includes description, feelings, evaluation, analysis, conclusion and action. Let's describe
these stages in detailed manner with understanding its importance.
Description: The first stage includes the brief detailing about the situation from which an
individual person can be able to understand the entire circumstances.
Feelings: The second phase involves the feelings where what person feels at the situation is
required to be described.
Evaluation: In the third stage, a person evaluate their situation and experience in broad manner
as it will help them to know about their positive and negative areas.
Analysis: In the analysis stage, the person will analyse the entire situation which has been
described and identify the correct and incorrect areas.

Kolb reflection
The Kolb model is also a reflection writing tool from which an individual person can be
able to write their experience appropriately (Chang, 2019). This model is consisted of four steps:
Concrete experience: The first step includes the person to write their experience in detailed
manner by reflecting their feelings and what person thought at that time.
Reflective observation: This stage includes the person reflection where the person will reflect
its own working areas what works well and what not and what will be the action person will
implement.
Abstract Conceptualization: This is quite similar to first stage where now the person is

Reflection of semester 1
During the semester 1, I came to understand the business operations and management. In
week1, I read about the introduction of the legal structure of the business management subject
where it includes its operations and concepts. In week 2, I had come to learn about the internal
and external environment of the organization or business which was quite difficult for me to
understand. For better learning and understanding this area of subject my tutor has organized
group activities and open discussion on economic trends and contemporary issues.
In week 3, I learned about the core operations and functions of the business and in week
4, I read about the operations and productivity and current challenges of the global operations. In
week 5, I learned ethical implications for accessing raw material and a quite good discussion on
the CSR and sustainability. During week 6, I read and understand the supply chain management
and its different strategies. Along with this, during week 7, I understand the inventory
management guidance, in week 8, develops a knowledge of location strategy and in week 9,
learned about the quality control areas. At last, in week 10, I learned the scheduling of the project
management which is also important part of business management.

During all these weeks, I faced different types of problems due to lack of skills as I week
2, the group disunion has been organized by the tutor where I was unable to connect with my
classmates and tutor as I was not able to interact and with people immediately due to lack of
team working skill. In order to improve my skills and weak areas, I will join the group
discussions and will work as a team from which it helps me to connect with people in
appropriate order and can increase my team working skill effectively.
Semester-2 Reflection
I have learned numerous things in this semester. Major theories related to the business,
operations and management has been learned by me. This semester has helped me to analyse my
own strength and weakness. Furthermore, I have learned numerous skills throughout this
semester. Also, I got to know the idea regarding the areas of improvement required in me. The
major things that has been learned by me during this session is related to the managing the
business. I got to know that, in order to make decision in the business it is highly important to
analyse the numerous options that are available to the business. Also, I got to know about the
major elements that are involved in the business. In the starting of the semester I was highly
nervous as there was large number of thoughts in my mind that I could perform in this semester
in effective manner of not. Furthermore, I was worried about my performance. However, this
semester has helped me in terms of adopting the various skills and guided me in order to make
further improvements in me. Also, this has increased my confidence level in me. I used to
worried and was full of negative thoughts but, this semester has helped me in terms of gaining
more confidence here is the complete description of my experience in the 2 semester with the
helps of Gibb's reflective Cycle.
This cycle has been considered as one of the best cycle that is consists of major six
elements and enables to describe the reflection in effective manner (Li and et.al., 2020). Moving
forward, here is starting of my experience with the first phase of cycle and that is Description.

semester. There were total four members in my group and all of us are aligned with the number

by me in this semester. I have experience the numerous feelings. As in the starting of the
semester I have less confidence in me. In initial level, my outcomes in the formative assessment
was not so good. This leads to reduce my confidence level and there was a situation in which I
do not have any faith in me. But, my tutors has supported me and assures me mentoring. The
formative feedback from my teacher has enabled me in knowing my personal strengths and
weakness. Also, the formative feedback has helped me to make effective schedule regarding my
learning. Furthermore, this has helped me in making improvements and assuring effective
performance in the summative assessment. Thus, I experienced numerous emotions in me that
has reduced my confidence at a point of time and increased my confidence as well. Here, I got to
know that, it is highly important to discuss everything with tutor as my tutor has helped me and
understand my problems as well. Thus, I will develop effective communication skills in me as it
will help me to discuss my doubts and queries openly.
In the evaluation phase, I can say that, some things were good while some do not and this
has cleared my vision in many things. The less cooperation of my team member in the group
assignment was the bad experience as it leads to impact the performance of whole group. But,
from here, I got to know the importance of team work and this was the good thing regarding my
