Introduction:
The significance of the effective business communication is seen to be notable in the
modern business context. The conceptual definition of the effective business communication
can be considered as the exercise of the sharing and exchanging information and inputs
among the various stakeholders of the business organizations of the modern business context
(Cardon, 2014). The generation of the conflict among the members and the stakeholders of
the organization are observed to be notable in reducing the effectiveness of the operations of
the members of the organizations. Under such situation, the efficient implementation of the
effective business communication is observed to be of great significance in reducing the
detrimental impact of the conflict in the operations of the members of the organizations
(Quintanilla & Wahl, 2018). Along with that, the major significance of the establishment of
the effective business communication is seen to be in the form of the creation of an
environment which has the potential to increase the bond between the employees and
motivate them towards the achievement of the larger goals. The paper analyses 10 chosen
topics on the basis of importance from the 10 weekly activities. Along with that, the paper is
focused in providing the detailed description of the different stages of the group development.
The paper also shows the importance of achieving the knowledge of the topics such as
intercultural communication and the employment letters and the curricula vitae with a precise
focus on the future career aspirations of mine. The chosen topics for the paper are

Section 1:
In the first week, I gathered the knowledge regarding the different models of the
communication and in addition to that, I understood that the process of communication can
be considered as the cyclic flow of the information, data and inputs. The topic was of great
significance for me as it enabled me to achieve the required skills and the competencies for
the efficient identification of the noise in the uninterrupted flow of the information. In the
following week, I gathered the knowledge regarding the concept of listening when I was able
to understand that the listening is defined as the method for the effective achievement and
collection of the information and the data from the a range of sources. The topic was
significantly helpful for me in the efficient gathering of the knowledge regarding the barriers
of the effectual listening like the familiarity, preoccupation, fast thinking, not entertaining,
overload and egocentrism. In the next week, I was able to understand the importance of the
employment letter in producing the formal invitation from the part of the organizations and
the significance of the curricula vitae in presenting the effective skills, competencies and the
experience. The topic was significantly helpful for me in achieving the required skills for the
production of my application with a precise linkage between my skills and competencies and
the employer’s job requirements.
In the 4th week, I was able to understand that the references are the acknowledgement
of someone’s work and in order to use them, I need to produce the much required credit to
the person who created this. The unethical conduction of not recognising the other’s work in
using them in our operations will be notably limited with the week’s learning. In the next
week, I gathered knowledge regarding the techniques of the written reflections of the events
and activities through the self reflection essay. The topic helped me in the effective
evaluation of positives and the negatives of the events and along with that, it enabled me to
identify the strengths and the weaknesses of mine so that I am able to improve. The

importance of the public speaking in the modern business context is observed to be
significant and the reason is pretty evident with the increasing formation of strategies for the
effective communication regarding the products and the services of the organizations directed
towards the public. In the week 6, I was able to gather in depth knowledge of the public
speaking and the topic was notably important for me in the achievement of the skills for using
the various phrases and expressions in public speaking.
In the following week, I came to know the conceptual definition of the intercultural
communication. I understood the various aspects of the communication between two or more
individuals of the different culture, nation and the societal values. This was of great
significance for me as it enabled me to use the skills that I achieved from the topic in my
future operations when I will be subjected to interact with the individuals of the different
culture. In week 8, I gathered the insights regarding the internal and external form of
communication which enabled me to have the idea that the form of communication practiced
inside the organization is considered to be the internal communication and the
communication directed towards the external stakeholders of the organizations is considered
to be external communication. The week’s lesson was notably helpful for me in
understanding the usage of the emails, reports, business letters and the marketing and
promotional events. In the following week, I understood the importance of the different
stages of the group development. In addition to that, the lesson was significant for me in
achieving the idea for the effective formation of the teams and the groups so that it is able to
operate efficiently. In the last week, I understood that the various forms of the social
communication are considered to be the socio-communication styles and the mentioned topic
was notably helpful for me in achieving the knowledge of the various styles of the social
communication such as responsiveness, analytical, expressive, assertiveness and flexibility.

Section 2: Literature Review:
The modern business organizations are observed to be notably dependent on the team
work as the increased effectiveness of the employees in operating as a team is seen to
improve the procedure of achieving the higher success for the organizations. Hence the
development of the team or group becomes notably crucial. In the year 1965, Bruce Tuckman
was able to identify the different stages of the effective group development with a precise
categorization such as the forming stage, storming stage, norming stage, performing stage
and the adjourning stage (Singh, Wang & Zhu, 2018). The forming stage includes the
discussion of the skills, backgrounds, interest, basic rules, individual roles, objective of the
projects and the timeline (Gren, L., Torkar, & Feldt, 2017). Raes et al., (2014) commented
that the act the storming stage is concerned with the initiation of the project where each of the
individuals are liable to sorts themselves and obtain the trust of other individuals (Forsyth,
2018). The stage is seen to face the conflicts and the clashes of personalities in significant
manner. In the norming stage, the different individuals in the group start to settle down and
are seen to appreciate others’ performances (Forsyth, 2018). The performing stage is
significant in making sure that the members are well motivated and confident and can
conduct their operations without any sort of supervision is significant speed. The adjourning
stage is considered to be the stage where the leader of the team dismisses or terminates the
team after the completion of the project (Betts. & Healy 2015).
Section 3:
My future career aspiration is to become the human resource manager of an
organization. The employment letter is a formal request for undertaking the job of a
company. The main focus of the employment letter is to express the code of business conduct
and the compensations that employees will gain from their conduction in the organization

(Nguyen et al., 2014). As I have the objective of becoming a human resource manager, I will
be liable to conduct the operations such selection and recruitment. The mentioned topic will
be significantly helpful for me in creating the employment letters for my employees in the
organization. This is also significant in the incorporation of the business ethics. The skill of
evaluation of the curricula vitae will be a major contribution for my career aspirations from
the part of the mentioned topic of the activity.
The communication among the various individuals of the different background,
culture and the societal values is seen to be significant (Dai & Chen, 2014). The
establishment of the skills for the effective management of the communication among the
individuals of different background is of great significance. Being the human resource
manager of my preferred company, I am liable to communicate with the various members of
the organization, so that it be easy for them to operate in the organization. The application of
the intercultural communication is expected to resolve the problems of the employees
regarding the wage structure, rewarding policy and the improvement of the operations
