What?
When I was in college, received an assignment that from my
tutor that was managing a orientation event which helped me
to improve my performance by maintaining effective
communication and good behaviour by dealing with situation.
The orientation programme was held to introduce new
comers and providing them career education.
What was the purpose The purpose of assignment is to organise event successfully
and encourages new students to get education from such
university. Moreover, to increase learning capabilities by
improving own knowledge which I learned in class (deBraga,
Sonne de Torrens and Evans-Tokaryk, 2019).
What happened in the
scenario
In orientation event new joiners and seniors are collected to
enhance their knowledge about education and developing
themselves. This event was hold to increase the confidence
level of people and give them option to select best option.
What did I see In this event, I saw that some new comers are feeling weird
and odd to speak in front of all and some are making noise
due to which disturbance was increasing. It became difficult
for me to manager or control this activity by influencing
people (Del Monte and Pennacchio, 2019).
What was my reaction While seeing all this, I was highly disappointed that people
are not understanding their responsibility and making fun of
others. This part given me an idea to manage this function.
Moreover, I was feeling difficulties to manage this event and
attracts people.

I talked with some people to get involve them in managing the
event by maintaining proper communication and encouraging

As result people, get ready to work with me and make this
successful event. I made a team and clear the responsibilities
of all people who were involves in my assignment. This part
helps to maintain the good communication and coordination

How did I feel at the
time of event
Before starting this event I was feeling good and confident
that I will manage this efficiently but during this I felt that
impossibility to manage because there was a good crowd of
students. Some of them were afraid and not listening lectures
properly. This part challenged me to face this situation and
overcome this.

other people
This type of feeling I never felt ever from different people
because people who were in my team of good behaviour, risk
accepter and maintaining better coordination or
communication to organise and manage this event
successfully.

experienced at the time
I enjoyed that moment a lot after facing problem that gave a
good experience. From that assignment I come to know what
are my weakness and strengths. This become memorable
moment of my life that gave me knowledge how to manage
thins and control activities.
Do I still feel troubled, if
so, in what way
After organised an event successfully I noticed that still I am
weak in resilience skills that means unable to bounce back in
event of adversity. Still I face problems and get fear from
inevitable challenges that cannot meet with goals in certain
time period.

What were the effect Due to lack of resilience skills I start to get stress when a new
challenges come to me. This effects negatively on my
performance and personality that make me unconfident
person (Teodoridis, Bikard and Vakili, 2019).
What positive aspects
from the event
The positive aspects from the event is I m able to
communicate and maintaining good behaviour with all that
helps to face the challenges and complete target. This event
has improve my communication, speaking, leading and
learning skills that supports to come out from fear.

about my behaviour
After organised event, I noticed that I can manage that team
and people as I have good behaviour and nature to make
understand people. I am able to work properly and
independently so activities and performance can be complete
in certain period of time.

While this event I observed that person were ready to help me
in order to make it successfully event. I appreciated those
people who worked with me and help out to encourage the
new comers. This activity give me power to accept the
challenges and give best with the help of people.

described?
It has analysed this orientation event has implicated for others
and me as we stated to work to together so, event will
organised successfully. Another side, this helped me and

successfully and I never will knows that what are my strength

Yes I need help to assist me because to complete any task
and assignment there is need good communication and

that I need to address first problem by identifying them. To
addressing them proper planning and communication among
people who are involved in team is required that can help to
maintain the good performance of organisation and improves
own knowledge.

To know my clinical practices in need to perform in this then
only in will know how I m different. Without practical
knowledge and working on them it will be difficult for me to get
information about my skills and talent in clinical practices.
Therefore, there is need to get the chances of showing clinical
practices.

learning that I can take
from reflecting on my
practice?
The main learning from practices and managing event in
college I noticed that I am able to improve my knowledge and
communication skills that will help me out to share information
and increasing my learning. To complete any assignment and
task there should have good communication, behaviour and
coordination skills that can help to improve the performance
and make assignment complete.

From the essay it is concluded that to complete any work and assignment there
is need to have good communication skills and behaviour so problem can be shared
and complete the task in effective time period. As I managed an orientation programme
by communicating and coordinative with people effectively. This practice help me to
enhance own knowledge and learning skills so goals can be accomplished. Driscoll
model is given by John Driscoll who states three phases such as what, so what and
now what uses by people to improve their performance.
