AI Summary
This report provides a reflective analysis of a student's decision-making process, utilizing the Gibbs reflective model to evaluate past choices and identify areas for improvement. The student reflects on two significant decisions: choosing to study abroad in Australia and modifying their learning strategies through the incorporation of social media. The report delves into the student's feelings, personality traits, and the decision-making tools employed, including personality tests like the Myers-Briggs test, intuition score tests, and logic tests. The analysis highlights the effectiveness of these tools in shaping decisions and the impact of personal characteristics, such as introversion, on the chosen strategies. The conclusion emphasizes the importance of a broader perspective and a more thorough analysis of potential impacts on various stakeholders. An action plan is outlined to enhance logical and intuitive thinking, maintain a strong balance score, and improve overall decision-making skills. The report concludes by emphasizing the multifaceted nature of decision-making and the value of self-assessment and continuous development.

INTRODUCTION
Decision making is an extremely important aspect in every individual’s professional and
personal life and one need s to possess the capability of taking quick and correct decisions
(Haita-Falah, 2017). In this report, using Gibbs reflective model, the decision making ability of
an individual has been tested.
MAIN BODY
I think Gibbs Reflective Model is a perfect tool for articulating my experiences and
justifying the actions that I took along with identification of what went right and what was
wrong. I have divided my experience into 6 major stages of Gibbs Model (Gibbs' reflective
cycle, 2017).
Decisions Made
Description: I intend to evaluate my decision making skills and elaborate on various tests that I
have used to test my personality and I can do this by first describing some actual decisions that I
took recently. Since I am a student, majorly my decisions revolve around education and study
related field. Recently I finalised that I should move to Australia for further studies which was a
major decision that I took since it involved taking decisions regarding my entire future. Another
set of decisions that I regularly make is constant upgrading and modifying the learning process. I
try to bring innovation so that it becomes a fun process which presents an interesting outlook of
the manner in which education should be perceived rather than being terrified from it. So
recently I included a step in my learning process which required using social media apps and
viewing videos on YouTube etc during the learning process. These two are some of the decisions
that I took in past one week.
Personality Type and Analysis
Feelings: In this segment I will categorize what I felt while making these two separate categories
of decisions. While finalising the decision of moving to Australia, I was quite apprehensive. This
was a big decision because my entire career and performance the learning experience and
education depended on this decision. I decided to go for this option because my intuition told me
that I would be able to develop my learning experience extremely well when I moved to
Australia. Apart from this, it was logical and necessary to incorporate social media activity in the
learning process so that different aspects and viewpoints regarding a topic could be ascertained.

This would help in improving the learning process marginally and also help me in conducting an
overall development of my personality.
Decision Making Tools
Evaluation: I regularly indulge in personality test that helps me in determining what personality
traits I possess and whether there have been any modifications or changes. These also help me
identifying which of my skills are stronger and how can I develop them further or exercise them.
My intuition score test showed that my intuition skills were medium i.e. I trust myself if I am
having any hunches about a particular thing or individual and another Balance test which
indicates my interest level in how much or upto what extent my decisions would affect others
was also high. This helped me in finalising that I should move to Australia for my further
education and it is proving to be a good decision since I am already appreciating the atmosphere
in Australia and the kind of teachers and education that I am getting here. Further, regarding the
changes in learning strategy, it was a logical and unavoidable step regarding the changing trends
and perspectives. My logical test depicted that I have a medium capability of making logical
decisions while analysing the problems and I used this along with the indicative of Myers and
Brigs test that I am more of an introvert, which helped me in developing this strategy that would
help me in developing myself in both personal and professional manner (Yuan, 2017).

Analysis: I can argue that all the tests that I used based on which I took decisions were effective
in my decision making process. I used Myers and Brigs test which is used to determine the kind
of personality that an individual has and it indicated that I have an introverted personality. This
has made me more conscious of the different nature of people which motivated me to incorporate
social media learning so that a better idea regarding various learning experiences could be
formulated and this suits my personality since I hesitate in indulging into communication with
others. Another test was Logic Test under which I scored medium deciding to pursue higher
education form Australia was a logical step since today it is necessary to gain maximum
knowledge and be at par with other individuals. Intuition Score and Balance Score helped me in
recognizing the correct country for further education and trusting my whim to select Australia. I
realized that choosing Australia would impact my entire life and career but still I took this
decision because I knew that in longer run I would get benefitted from this decision.
Conclusion: I can conclude that the decision to move to Australia for further studies was
extremely good and I was able to begin my learning process perfectly well. Therefore, I took this
decision well providing justified reasoning for choosing that particular country. Another category
of regular decision that I undertake was based on my logical test score and personality type. I

thought that incorporating this step in the learning process was a decision which had to be taken
in due course of time and many of the learners are using it (Hung, Luoto & Parker, 2018).
However, it was not well received my friends and family. They pointed out that since I am
moving to Australia and spending extra money on my education I should utilise the experience
and real life knowledge of my tutors there because they would help me in a better manner rather
than using social media tools which can be used by anyone and anywhere. When I took this point
of view into consideration, I realised that they were correct. I cannot yet use this tool directly and
therefore I rectified the learning process by removing this as a major learning tool and rather
keeping it as a tool for additional or extra knowledge.
Action Plan: I have realised that I lack the ability to form a broader perspective i.e. analyse and
view things from a wider purview which has not made me capable enough to develop a deeper
insight. I need to conduct a more thorough analysis of the various aspects and the parties that
might be impacted by my decision making. I intend to hone my logic and intuition test scores by
developing a better approach towards trusting my decisions more. This will further help me in
taking even bigger and better decision with more accuracy and lastly, I also intend to maintain
my balance score which is high i.e. my ability to understand how my actions might impact other.
This will vastly improve my current decision making skills developing me into an even better
student.
CONCLUSION
The model helps in concluding that there are various aspects of an individual’s
personality that help him in taking the decisions. Various personality tests like Myers- Brigs test,
Intuition and logic Test etc. point out the potential trait that an individual might possess but these
are not always adequate and a good student should take assistance form these along with
regularly developing themselves.
