Effective presentation skills play a significant role in case of driving interest of audience
towards the presentation. A true presenter should have the skills for motivating the audience by
increasing their interest in the particular topic. As per my understanding the creativity as well as
speaking with the optimal audibility can play an important role for enhancing individuals’
presentation skills.
Week 1
During the week 1 learning session, I
have learned about the significance of the
learning skills. During the learning process, it
has been analyzed by me that in order to build
the public speaking ability, impressing the
audience is very important. Depending on the
interest of the audience, the presentation abilities of individuals can be measured. I have learner
the speaker not only engage the audience physically but also driving the psychological
engagement of the audience can be considered as the biggest responsibility of a speaker. During
the first week learning, I have learned about different presentation types such as informative,
demonstrative, persuasive and inspirational speech. In case of informative speech, the audience
are being informed about a particular topic. Demonstrative speech is being considered as the
form of informative speech. I have learned that the aim of demonstrative speech is to motivating
the audience towards accomplishing a particular task. In case of persuasive presentation, the

speaker focus on convincing the audience for doing something. As an example, it can be said that
political leaders make their speech for convincing people to vote for them. Inspirational speech
are also being considered as motivational speech. In this case, audience are not being allowed to
control themselves. Hitler can be considered as the perfect example of an inspirational speaker.
Week 2
In the week 2, different factors have been discussed, which pays important role in case of
influencing the presentation process. A strong script is
required for making a good presentation. Depending
on learning session, I have gained the knowledge
regarding the importance of communication
environment for providing an effective presentation. In
this week, I have learned about the importance of
lighting and stage arrangements and those impact on
the case of conducting a good presentation. During the
learning process it has also been mentioned that sitting
arrangement of the audience can also play an important role for making the environment more

During the week 3 learning process, I have learned about the importance of audience
engagement for making the presentation successful. Depending on the analysis, it has been
identified by me that consistency as well as reliability of the information can play an important
role for grabbing the attention of the audience. By continuing this, it can be said that in order to
increase the audience engagement in the presentation, it is very important for the speaker to
understand the expectation of the audience from the presentation. On the other hand. Before
making any presentation, it is important to understand the abilities of individuals. I have learned
that presentation should be simple so that the individuals can easily understand the topic.
Week 4
In the Week 4, I have learned about the
importance of time management during the
presentation. In most of the cases, lengthy
presentation makes people discouraged and this
also drive the negative impression. I strongly
believe, it is very important for a speaker to understand the importance of time management and
punctuation for making the presentation more attractive. Adding graphs and pictures, the audio
visual learning process helps individuals to involve in the presentation. Hence, I can say that
depending on time management ability, it can be easier for me to conduct a presentation within
particular time. I have also learned that in order to offer proper value to the audience,
engagement of individuals in the presentation process is important. By engaging the individuals
in the presentation, interest of the audience can be increased. After discussion a particular topic,
audience should be asked questions for understanding if they have any quarries regarding the
presentation.

Week 5
In the 5th Week, I have learned that
in order to become a good speaker, I needs
to focus on improving my behavioral
characteristics. Behavioral characteristics
of a speaker is something that helps to
strengthen the abilities of a speaker. As per my understanding, a good speaker should have a
strong personality. Not only the communication skill, but also a true speaker should be confident
about the authenticity of the information which are being speared by the person. In order to
improve the Ability of a speaker, a good speaker should have the good listening as well as
observing capability. In order to motivate the audience towards the presentation, it is very
important for the speaker to understand, the needs of the audiences from the presentation. In
order to become a good speaker, self-analysis is very important. In that process, it will be easier
for me to understand by strength and weaknesses. I believe, in order to improve my public
speaking abilities, I can focus on interacting large numbers of people. By attending different
seminars and different workshops, my shyness can be reduced. By paying attention to my body
language, I can make the presentation effective for the audience. By keeping the record of my
own speech, I will be able to identify my flaws. During the learning process, I have gained the
knowledge regarding stage presence, voice control, body language, audience relation and
delivery. As per my understanding, this knowledge can be beneficial in terms of increasing my
efficiency.
