Introduction
A dream career is a job responsibility that enables an individual to derive an all-around
satisfaction. The satisfaction must not only be in terms of money but also in term s of mental,
social and physical well being. Attaining a dream career is one of the major goals that are present
within each and every individual. However, I feel that dream career is not just about getting a job
that has a good pay scale. Becoming economically independent is of utmost importance in the
modern day scenario. However, it must be noted in this context that women must take up newer
employment opportunities for becoming self-sufficient in life Schutt (2018). This will help them
to get empowered in their future life. Many of the women are taking up the business career as
they want to earn their own living and establish themselves as successful business identities.
A dream job or a dream career is one that helps in utilizing all the skills that are present
within an individual. As per the opinion of Hulsey and Jackson (2018), a dream job is one that
can keep a person interested in the profession. Becoming business women is one of the dream
careers as it will help a woman to establish herself as a very independent and economically stable
identity. Allen, French, and Poteet (2016) have also agreed to this fact. A dream job is one that is
prestigious and can also help the individual to establish him or herself at a good position in life.
Discussion
I think that dream career is one that provides every individual with a very good
opportunity for establishing themselves in life. Inman (2016) is of the opinion that even in this
age of advancements and developments people all over the world have not been able to upgrade
their mentality to a good standard. They have been following the concept of discriminating
between men and women. Even in many of the big business enterprises, it seems that there is

large scale discrimination between the male and the female employees due to their gender. I want
to prove myself in front of the world. My dream career is to become a powerful businesswoman.
I have chosen this profession as this will give me a chance to explore the world and to establish
myself as an economically stable person.
I have never seen the entire concept of a dream job to be a very easy thing. There will
naturally be several difficulties in the path of getting a dream job. It is for this reason that one has
to thrive and work very hard in order to reach their dream job. However many of the individuals
feel that a dream job is one that helps them in getting a very high package. They try to get a job
that offers a huge salary. However, it has to be kept in mind that a dream job is one that can help
the individuals to get complete satisfaction. The individuals must be able to get mental, social
and physical satisfaction. I have always thought of becoming a project manager. As per the
opinion of Borg and Söderlund (2015) the profession of becoming a businesswoman or a female
entrepreneur is one of the very prestigious positions. It must be noted in this context that the
demand for female entrepreneurs o increasing day by day. This means that my future there will
be a huge demand for females taking up the various kinds of office positions.
As per the opinion of Madsen (2015), many of the countries are trying their level best to
empower their female entrepreneurs. It is for this reason that the women are trying their level
best to take up important positions in the market. Russia is a very good example that is trying to
achieve a hundred percent woman employment. It is for this reason that they are trying to include
a number of female employees within their organizations.
I have chosen a businesswoman as my dream career because this will give me a good
exposure to the professional world. I will be able to enter into many different kinds of

professions through this job opportunity. This will open a pathway to the corporate field and
also to many other areas of the profession. Though the job of a businesswoman is most
prominent in the corporate field, there are also provisions for switching over too many important
industries. Interpret my dream career as a job that will help me to properly balance my personal
and professional life. It will help me to learn the art of team management and sound leadership. I
have often seen that woman have to live at home and look after their families. Often these efforts
given by the women are overlooked. They do not get the right kind of honor or respect that must
be given to them. I want to work very hard and earn my own living by establishing a successful
career in the field of business. This will help me to develop and also utilize the skill of
multitasking. Women are good at the art of juggling many different tasks at the same time. This
will be helping me to do a large number of works together. In this distracting work environment,
the females have this advantage over their male counterparts. As the male employees often get
distracted and can afford to concentrate only at one particular task at one point of time, the
advantage goes to the females. Thus I will be taking up the role of a female entrepreneur who
will be able to take up the role of a successful businesswoman.
On contrary Schutt (2018) is of the opinion that there is often much negativity associated
with the profession of a businesswoman. There is always huge pressure on female business
personalities to carry on with their work. There is a chance that businesswomen will be suffering
from a lack of networks. This will be turning out to be negativity for me. There is always this
probability that businesswomen will be suffering from the lack of enough channels. Often the
channels are not confident enough. The fundraisers also often do not feel confident enough to
take part in female-owned business firms. This can cause a severe problem in carrying on with
the business.

They are always walking on the verge of the sword. In other words, businesswomen
always have problems with striking a balance between their family life and their work life. They
often have to suffer through immense pressure while they are trying to work properly. The
society often tries to demean such high ambitious women. The society will never try to accept
any women who invest more time in their job life. Thus they have to work in an organized
manner so that they can balance both their family life and their job life as well.
Though there is a chance of getting a huge amount of success if one can become
successful as an entrepreneur there is also a huge amount of threats associated with the same.
Some of the great female figures that have to attend a good ad bright position in this field are as
Richa Kaur, Sue Bryce, Sophia Amoruso and others (Allen, French and Poteet 2016). They
have suffered through great hurdles and have made sure that nothing is able to stop them from
achieving their dream career.
There is a great scope of appreciations and promotions if the project is successful.
However on the other hand if the project fails then the majority of the blame will be coming on
the project manager. Thus the project manager has to make sure that they are putting forward all
their efforts for getting the job done. This can turn out to be a huge stress on the project
managers. In contrary Lantrip et al. (2015) has argued that the job of a teacher is much more
pleasant and comfortable for women. There is no additional stress and there is always a scope of
bringing about many innovations each day. The time schedule is also good for a female to
balance both her family life and her professional life. However, I feel that different people have
different preferences. Thus there must not be any pressure or any kinds of compulsion on any of
the individuals regarding the kinds of a profession that they want to choose. Though the job of a
businesswoman is peaceful and dynamic there are also several threats associated with it.

The chance of getting promotions to a higher level is a bit less and also very slow. This is
because the management often favors male employees over females. On the other hand, there are
also several instances of the workplace harassments where the female employees have been the
victims. It is, for this reason, there is a chance of suffering many major discriminations in the
hands of the management.
The chance of switching over to other job options is also much limited. On contrary to
this, in the job role of businesswomen will be giving a huge amount of opportunity to succeed in
life. Proper time management and delegation is needed for making the dream come true.
One can get the opportunity of switching over to a large number of new and interesting
professional fields. I perceive my dream career as a job role that would help me to grow and
learn. In other words, I try to work in a very knowledgeable environment that will be helping me
to learn from my mistakes. Choosing the career of working as a project business woman or
business entrepreneur will be giving me ample opportunities to learn from my failures.
Conclusion
Thus, it can be concluded that dream career is something that helps the individual to grow
and learn. It provides a very good and friendly environment which helps in personal and
professional growth as well. However, it cannot be ignored that in this era of rapid competition
and advancements, females need to earn their living and establish a proper position for
themselves. Same is prevalent in my case as well. I have chosen this profession as it will be able
to fetch me a good economic status. I will be able to act as an inspiration for thousands of
women who continue to love under dominance. They will be able to draw inspiration and grow
up to become successful in this male-dominated scenario.
