REFLECTION
Reflection on business start up:
During this model, I came to demonstrate concept of business and how start up should be
run. I have gained enough knowledge while attending these modules regarding business
management, there are certain theories that help in business start up and management process. At
beginning of the module, I have faced issue related to clear concept of business, I was unaware
about start up process which require entrepreneur to think innovatively and creatively (Singer,
2016). However, I came across understanding business management and process to turn
company towards success, I have learned new management theories include; scientific
management theory, system management theory and contingency theory.
Business start up is not an easy task, while examining start up process, I have explored
different area where my expertise was quite low. I was unable to understand where company lack
behind in getting success, I have analysed this concept and identify key area where company
failed for example poor financial management. While exploring other module, I gained
knowledge of financial project management where I have learned how company manage their
finance and focus on betterment of the company. In every module I have attended, I have
explored new skills and knowledge of business management including skills to run and business
for example leadership skills and communication skills.
During start up module, I have explored key learning area where I have demonstrated
business planning theories include; SWOT and Pestle analyse. With the help of these
frameworks and tools company can examine and craft strategic planning process. But I still lack
behind in finding right business planning theories although I have knowledge in business
management theories and have clear understanding on business process (Pride and et.al., 2020).
While addressing financial project management, I have gained skills of developing Gantt chart
and WBS that allow me to develop financial project plan. I do have gained enough knowledge
but at some point, I think I would have done better.
During this module, I have gained enough knowledge and understanding on the business
management and business start up process. I will be using skills and knowledge which I have
gained in the module, I will be focusing on running a start with the help of key knowledge
gained in the process. I will apply my knowledge and understanding beyond workshop and will

explore business world. My knowledge is now clear after I attend module, I am looking forward
to applying business start up knowledge and run an business organization (Wain, 2017).
During my academic session, I have gained skills and knowledge while explore
management of other successful companies like Tesla, Unilever and Apple and understand how
they manage their business process. I have strong knowledge in business management theories
including classical management theory and behavioural theory, I have developed leadership
skills that allow me to become suitable to run an business using strategic planning tools and
theory. I have knowledge in IT skills but there are many areas where is still had to explore and
become stable in the process.
