INTRODUCTION
Reflective essay termed out as to define personal response to experience, situation,
events and formation (Sekarwinahyu, Rustaman and Riandi, 2019,). In addition to this,
effective practice is termed out as ability that monitors the person ability for given role. The
present report is based on reflective journal that discussion on completion employability and
study skills. Henceforth, the report will cover things such as communication skills, research
skills, team work, time and self management and problem solving skills. Thus, reflection will
be conducted with use of Gibbs reflective cycle.
Gibbs reflective cycle
This is model that is inclusive of the description such as feelings, evaluation, analysis,
conclusion and action plan. It will be outlined in following context as-
Description- I have enhanced my depth understanding with help of implementing corporate
social responsibility in firm practices. To execute the approach of CSR effectively, I have
decided to divide the different sections of work. For this, I have created a group and this has
led me to accomplish the work effectively and efficiently. Thus, implementation of CSR aids
to enhance and improve core skills such as communication, research skill, team works, time
and self management etc. In the group, I have faced with number of difficulties that creates
many hurdles in the process of implementation. Therefore, the two of the member of the
group drop their plans that evening and this led to create the trouble in assignment and
assignment would get finished in the deadline. Being the leader of the team, I have undertake
the proper analysis on Execution of CSR and this led to provide me depth insights about it. I
took initiative to communicate with all other members so that I can know what each one is
doing. Thus, is started interacting with all others. We were total 4- 5 members in group. So, I
was nervous at first but then after communicating with one person my confidence boosted up.
I got to know that research skills used by was highly effective. Here, I used internet in order
to search some data about CSR and its ethical issues. furthermore, I did this so that the
project can be completed on time. Also, it want to gain some knowledge as well.
Feelings- At this step, I have realised that there are lot of work that needs to be done. I was
quite happy that we have divided the whole work into the smaller section. In this, I felt that I
am not good in communication skill as I was unable to make the proper interaction with team
members. So, I have focused on my communication and take steps towards to improve it so
that I can make proper communication with each individual. To identity the impact of CSR I

have undertaken the depth research on impact of CSR on organisational profitability and
productivity. Herein, I felt that I needs to conduct the activities on timely manner so that
things can get done in timely manner. This kind of skills has helped me to led the things in
the systematic manner. I have identified that communication is the essence of management
that aids to bring smooth and cordial relationship among team members. This aids me to
identified that CSR is termed out as sell regulating business model that can assist firm to be
socially accountable. By completing the above task I analysed that it enabled me to enhance
my skills. Through that, I enhanced my communication skills. As we worked in a group so I
got to know that how to communicate with others. Besides that, I gained knowledge about
various types of communication that is both verbal and written. – I felt that at initial level it
was difficult for me to search on internet. Moreover, I took help of my friend in gathering
data and info. This resulted in improving my research skills and using key words in ease in
searching on internet.
Evaluation- At this, I have encounter with the good and bad experience with the
implementation of CSR. Under this, I have identified that my communication skills was not
effective and this has impacted the working of team member as I was not able to make proper
coordination with them. Also, I have identified that I was lack with the knowledge with the
CSR. So, I undertake steps towards to enhance my depth understand in terms to
implementation of CSR. In this, I have identified that some of my team member were nit
actively engaged in task timely. This led to create many of hurdles and negative affects the
process of implementation ( Dhaliwal, Singh and Singh, 2017.). Henceforth, the things that
clearly did not work was assumed that we wrote in the same manner and this has been
identified that the overall time plan of the group get failed due to undertaking the task in
timely manner. To cope up with this situation, I have given task to each member with proper
deadline so that they can able to conduct the activities in given time. As I interacted with
other in oral way I was able to identify and listen them. It enabled me to understand their
language and what they are trying to say. Moreover, I got comfortable in interacting with
others. This benefited me to enhance my communication skills. In addition to it, as we
produced a report so it helped me in improving my written communication as well. Herein,
here, I analysed that I was easily able to gain knowledge on CSR and collecting data. It
sharpened my skill as I was able to do it in less time. I gained knowledge about on how to use
key words,

Analysis- At this stage, I have realised that my decision of initial division of work went well
as this aids to conduct the business activities in more proper manner. Thus, person also has
given the task as per their capabilities and I also have given them responsibilities with help of
analysing the strength. I have experienced working this way and this also affects the working
of things in huge context. This was one of the effective implementation as this enhanced my
communication, problem solving, time management skill. I really enjoy in working within the
areas that match my strength. In the area, I have faced the difficulties was team working. In
terms to make this effective I must use the implementation of Belbin team role so that overall
group activity can be undertaken in effective manner. With the use of Belbin team roles the
things can be conducted in effective and work delegation seems to come from using different
people strength (Smith and Roberts, 2015).
Conclusion- At this phase, I have learned that when a whole activities are needed to divided
in group. This can aid me to put the section together and submit without much or any
rewriting (Husebø, O'Regan and Nestel, 2015). I concluded that I wrote report and also got to
know about two ways of written types that is formal and informal. So, I gained knowledge
about how to communicate in formal way. similarly, I interacted with team members in
informal way. this was useful for me to get to know about how informal communication is
done. With help of the implementation of CSR I have identified that how organisation impact
can be enhanced and how profitability can get enhanced. Lastly, I learnt that sometime time
management skills plays crucial role to carry out any task efficiently. I summarise that in
future if similar situation is faced I will use key words for it. Furthermore, I need to enhance
my decision making skill so that I am able to select which info is useful and not. It will help
me in becoming more efficient in it.
Action- In order to improve my decision making I need to solve case studies. Moreover, I
will take more such type of assignment. It will help me in my future growth and
development. I need to focus more on written communication so that I am able to develop
formal reports in effective way. furthermore, it will help me in my growth in employment.
