potential knowledge regarding the effective uses of the communication processes in order to
carry the concerned work practices in the workplace. There is a list of communicational skills
which can be utilized in order to communicate the desired and exact message to the concerned
person. I have understood that the communication is defined as the exchange of information by
speaking or by writing within the concerned group of people or individuals (Fan et al., 2015).
There are various professional words utilized for transferring the message in the form of
communication to concerned persons.
Moreover, I have encountered that there are few of the crucial barriers to communication that
needs to be evaluated in order to enhance the entire communication procedures. There are five of
the crucial barriers to communication, they are judging the other person, not paying attention to

Rather than judging other people, it is important for the concerned individual to understand his or
her own strengths and nesses while communicating with another concerned person. Secondly,
attention should be paid to the other person with who we often get into a conversation as this
helps in enhancing the effectiveness of communication without having any type of mistake. Not
paying attention is often done by getting busy with mobile or thinking something else. Also, I
have improved my weaknesses by not using any technical language while being a conversation
with other people. Furthermore, unwanted advise or suggestions should not be provided to any of
the persons as it distracts a person from the concerned topic. One of the barriers that need to be
removed is avoiding the concern of others. The concern of others should be analyzed and
utilized in order to enhance the communication process (Visser et al., 2014).
The readings critically reflect that self-awareness is the conscious knowledge of an individual
character or feelings (Voss et al., 2014). It can also be defined as the capacity for introspection
as well as the ability for recognizing oneself as the individual separate from the environment and
from other individuals. The development and readings of self-awareness critically helped me in
enhancing my personal thoughts and opinions regarding everything. The development of the
self-awareness also helps in improving the overall decision-making process of the concerned
person. It helps in judging whether the decisions or any comments are true or false.
The cross-cultural communication reflects the desired field of study where people coming from
different background endeavor to communicate with one another. The study reflected that
intercultural communication includes the interaction among people having different views and
perception (De Mooij, 2015). There are few of the cultures that focus on time whereas there are
few of the other cultures that pay attention to people and relations among them. I particularly
believe that reason for issues with successful intercultural communication is more complex as
different people have different ways of upbringing their concerned children.
Ethical decision-making can be reflected as the desired process of evaluating as well as selecting
between the alternatives in making an effective decision following ethical principles (Cianci et
al., 2014). I order to make ethical decisions, it is crucial to perceive as well as eliminate unethical
options by selecting the best ethical alternative. This study helped me in understanding that
following of the ethical principles helps in making effective ethical decisions that facilitate the
overall success for any concerned person or for an organization.
