INTRODUCTION
Who:
I am a student pursuing education from University of East London, I am part-time worker
who work in business consultancy firm. I decided to gain max. knowledge from different course,
I have been indulged with certain management skills but looking for better opportunity to make
myself better in the field of business. I decided to join this module to gain knowledge and skills
on business management, I need to cover certain area in business to become effective in the field
of business.
How:
Group of my colleague were discussing this module, I showed some interest and desire to
explore this area. Read about this course and applied through online learning form, however, one
of my recommend me for this opportunity (Abrams and et.al., 2021). I have performed research
on this area to under what exactly this is related with, later this module was focusing on business
management, so I decide to give an interview and explore new area of continuous development.
When:
After applying for business management module, I decided to join and become part of
this valuable course, they called me up for an interview and emailed me about the course detail. I
was qualified for the module, I examined the course detailed they have provided. I even visited
the building to understand the environment carefully.
Why:
I wanted to continue my studies in the field of business, I have joined this module to
increase my knowledge and skills in the business management field. I have identifying certain
weaknesses in me which need to be managed with the help of this module, I will continue with
business management to become effective. I need to sharpen my skills that is why I have joined
this module and wanted to explore area of business carefully (Chang, 2019).
MAIN BODY
Explaining the experience:
During this module, I have explored different area of development, from joining this
module to complete this course, I have carefully understood the course and topic. At first, I was
nervous because I have not attended any such module before in such mega event, I was seating in
front which made me more nervous because there was direct eye contact with lecturer. He

welcomed every learner with joy and excitement which made me relaxed at the moment. Later in
first week, with the module, we did some group activity in which team building and team
leadership skills is been crafted by the organizer, certain business management task is been
provided by the organizer to test our skills (Ramlal and Augustin, 2020).
Later with the week 2, we were asked to present a speech individually in front of others
to increase of communication skills and knowledge in public speaking, I did it correctly because
I carry effective communication skills. Later in the third week, we were asked to write a
professional summary to test out reading and writing skills, we were taught with different
languages which is commonly used in the business world, however, reading skills were weak
that is why it took me time to cover this week, I need to explore this area carefully to become
effective in career development in business management field. Week 4 and 5 focused on
reflective writing and model including business management model, we were assigned with
reflective task in which I have carefully reflected on the module experience. All experience
helped me to gain max. knowledge and become stable in career and personal life development.
Future challenges:
Whole module was effective enough to cover every important area, however there might
be some challenges that occur in the process of gaining skills and knowledge. There are certain
challenges that will impact my knowledge, I have to be effective enough to gain max. knowledge
out of these modules, these challenges are:
 Difficult business management model; there are certain challenging business
management models which will become barrier in the smooth process, these model are
difficult to understand because these modules contain certain element which need careful
explanation. I need help of tutor to understand some of the model including TQM model
for manufacturing, VRIO model and certain other business management model.
 Examination: examination is one of the most challenging task that will arrive in the
process of gaining max. knowledge, I have been focusing on improving my knowledge to
improve my score in examination (Robbins, Onodipe and Marks, 2020). Lecture will
going to test my knowledge and experience, during examination I might face certain
challenges because the field of business management is quite wide.
 Presentations; Presentations require skills, I still need enough time to effectively present
in front of others, it is very clear that presentation is one of the most important skills in

the business management process. I need to have effective presentation skills to manage
and present my knowledge.
University expectations:
I would continue explore the field of business management after completing course, I
want to fully utilize the business management degree I will be carrying with me. I want to
become effective in the field of business which means I have to face certain challenges, during
this module, I have faced certain challenges and analysed my weakness (Williams, Woolliams
and Spiro, 2020). However, I have been working on my weakness which means I will improve
and meet the expectation of the university. I will take best out of me because I have gain
sufficient knowledge in the business management field.
CONCLUSION
This report has discussed business management field and its importance for learner
focusing on skills' development. Later this report has discussed reflective essay in which careful
reflection is been provided of the experience, this report cover important area of reflection
including introduction and explanation of experience which was gained during the module. Later
this report has discussed reflective writing including certain experience of first 5-6 weeks which
means experience of every week is been discussed. At last this report has discussed future
challenges that might occur in the field of business management, including difficult modules in
level 4 and university expectation is been discussed.
