Racism has been known as the belief that race is the core element of human capabilities
that a certain race is better than others and that persons should be treated differently according to
their racial designation. In the twenty-first century, most of us will think segregation would not
be a subject of concern. Unfortunately, racism still exists. I still wonder thinking how the
World’s largest democratic countries China and India are still wrestling with troublesome ethnic
conflicts (Asthana 2018). Britain is not a racist land but it is a nation with a deep sensitivity to
hazards posed by culture and ethnic difference. We British are becoming sensitive even listen to
someone speaking of these issues. Still, we are breathing in the world by religious friction and
tribal which affecting other individuals and communist. For over half a millennium, by the
process of organic integration, British have positively managed ethnocultural diversity. The
mixture of a core set of behaviors and values with the habits of broad-mindedness for cultural
peculiarity and difference and a preference for gradual acceptance of new traditions has provided
both flexibility and stability in our society.
Nowadays a large number of different clusters are arriving in Britain more than at any
time in our recorded history. This is where Superdiversity comes to light. It is an idea introduced
by Steve Vertovec of Oxford University recognizes our social diversity cannot be categorized by
a simple dualistic partition between white peoples and others (Poynting and Mason 2017). It
constructs much difference between over a hundred significant ethnic clusters. These difference
are not just ethnic or something new to Britain. It could be described as ethnocultural which
consists some behaviors and values not lightly by abandoned by Muslim communities or Jewish
communities for example (Fox 2013).
We are far away from being able to recognize the fact that the race itself is no longer
purely Black and White Affair. We have been even less excited about longsuffering that the

different sets of behaviors and values predominant in some ethnocultural societies present a
serious encounter to the process of integration in our culture.
According to the Ted cantle report, the decreasing amount of White populations in the

survey from 2001 to 2011 the White populace of Birmingham cut down from 65.5 percent to
53.1, in Leicester it falls from 60.5 percent to 45.1 and there is only 16.7 percent white British in
Newham among the whole population (Brown and Jones 2013). Living in the different series of
parallel lives has been a vital issue in Bradford and Oldham that takes the form of riots. White
peoples are leaving London at three times more than minorities despite the fact that the
population is increasing approximately one million. I observed some weirdness between
minorities and White people when interacting with one another in many cases. I also found some
survey results that indicate facts like minorities are moving away from white people’s localities.
They are isolating them from one another and also avoiding contact as much as possible due to
the social and cultural boundaries. I feel this issue lately in my life when I was thinking back
while I was a kid, I was the only white kid in my football team. I did not have any problem with
this. Some of my best friends are Asian but some White kids have a different attitude. Most of
the migrants in Britain comes from Asia. Now, most people I work with are Eastern European
and Asian and there are approximately four white people out of twenty. Policies may need to
encourage White British residents to remain in diverse areas.
Women in some groups are denied even though they have their basic rights as British
residents. Dame Louise Casey blamed civic bodies for condoning divisive and ignoring or
dangerous religious practices for anxiety of being called racist. In some community, women are
not allowed to leave their house without their husband permission. In our country, forty-one of

MEPs are female against twenty-three percent MPs and Lords. Still, there is a huge gender gap in
the UK which pulling down the overall ranking. Our country falls to 26th position in gender
equality ranking (Fazel 2015). We discovered that the fundamental motivation behind why the
UK has dropped out of the best 20 nations positioned for sexual orientation balance is its poor
score in economic support which looks at the ratio of gender in the workforce, wage equality for
comparable work done by men and the quantity of ladies in senior parts (Sá 2015).
Approximately around one of the four women experience domestic violence over their

violence. More than 80 percent of victims got help after five year of the incident and the rate of

pay gap between genders is still significant.
Enormous amount of racial issues has been coming to light over last decade. In the
United Kingdom, the majorities of peoples are not comfortable to work in shops, hotel and as a
labor. While migrants are doing this works to sustain their family. However, there is a significant
gap in pay between locals and migrants. Migrants are getting less payment compare to locals
(Dhingra et al. 2017). In other sectors, it is hard to get a job as being migrants than locals. There
is some internal racism case in the workplace. I witness some cases where locals make fun
migrants cause of their culture and beliefs. As a citizen of United Kingdom, it is a shame for me
that some of my colleges has to go through this.
From other migrants, Muslim are believed to be the main culprit. Though there are many
Islamic schools in the UK for education purpose. It is widely feared that Muslim schools will

fragment society and damage social cohesion (Stewart and Mulvey 2013). I do not think people
should cut off from each other. That is where segregation starts. I mean I would not send my
daughters to a Muslim school. While we are living in a multicultural society then everything
should be multicultural.
There is much ancient confirmation of the formation of Black communities in selected
British cities from the seventeenth century onwards. There is also excessive historical evidence
of racism in the past. According to some recent government evident Black race people were
stopped six times more likely and searched, and three times more like arrested compared to the
White race people (Ruhs and Vargas 2013). This criminal justice system state that young black
offenders were twice more likely be denied bail compared to the others (Bell et al. 2015).
Segregation also appearing in the education sector. A study found that most of the black youths
are less likely to be registered in the most admired university. Though the percentage of
candidate enrolling in university is gradually increasing it is very hard for black youths to join in
prestigious University. In 2009 forty four percent of migrant students attended post-1992
University, among them, only eight percent joined Russel Group University (Brown and Jones
2013). The media is also taking a massive role in their refinement. Media is making enormous
sensationalizing and exaggerations events adjoining black youth corruption with adding extra
drama to make it highlight news.
Many researchers highlighted that migrants are facing problem in the UK but that does
not mean their groups are totally blameless. Some of them are aggressively dealing drugs,
rioting, mugging, and knife and gun violence among others (Kilkey, Perrons and Plomien 2013).
The minority ethnic clusters have also profited from favorable policies which improved their
chances for employment in parts that have in the past been closed to them. Migrants are living

different lifestyle cause of their own believes and socialism. Their color, religion, race and
national origin are making them different than locals. They are also spreading disease like HIV
in the UK (Scott 2013). The migrants are also impacting in the labor market, Immigration also
can increase competition in the labor market (Chapman 2013). They have also witnessed racial
segregation on school grounds over recent years, they have seen scholars of different ethnic
backgrounds presence the similar classes, however they are more so associating with similar race
and not including other students from different race inside their companion gatherings. This is
called self-isolation, while a few people see it as an alright thing since the students are essentially
looking for others, who appreciate their culture and have similar views.
I have been living here since my birth and loved the culture and beauty of our city. As I
mentioned earlier I was the only White boy on my football team so still some of my best friends
are migrants. Coming from different society and culture they have different beliefs. I noticed that
those who are living in Britain from their childhood adopt the culture of locals but the second
and third generation peoples are habituated with their previous socialism and acts. That is why
segregation happening. Coming from different places having different perspective making them
hate each other. However, we humans have some basic needs and for getting them we can cross
any line. That is helping migrants and locals to connect with each other in our multicultural
society. Basically, we are busy with our family and works but humans need to interact with each
other on daily basis to make their life suitable and efficient. I experienced it on my football team,
though we belong in the different race we had to work together to win as a team. We need to
understand the fact that beyond gender, race, color we all are human having same fundamentals.
I personally have no issue with migrants, in fact, I like different types of people around me.

It is clear from above discussion that in some rare cases racism is still active in Britain.
They are often suffering from underachievement in education, exclusions from schools,
measures of poverty and mental illness. The final point of view being investigated about social
racism is just be an extension of new racism. Britain racism segregation is obvious in
conservative media scope of blacks, Muslims, foreigners and asylum searchers who are risk to
the nation and its goodwill. They do this to influence and control the larger part of whites who
hold supremacist against foreigner perspectives, as do politicians in both conservative and the
New Labor. Furthermore, there is impressive auxiliary partiality and segregation in occupations,
lodging, and work, and additionally institutional racism inside the police forces, as reported in
both the Lord Macpherson and Lord Scarman examinations. Blacks, workers and different
minorities are significantly more inclined to be the casualties of wrongdoing than whites, and
