INTRODUCTION
Skills are the form of expertise or talent that plays vital role in completing task and job on
time. In this reflective report will discuss about role of skills for the individuals in the context of
academic and professional. In last it will define how these skills supports individuals to deal with
future challenges that faces during university course.
Explain how and why developed as a learner during the module
As I know, skills are one of the most essential part of the individual’s life because when
they have expertise or talent then they do not have to face more issue while dealing with
complex tasks. As same concept for the learning such as when a person is a good learner then
they can easily develop comfortable zone for themselves at anywhere and can become part of the
people’s appreciation (Andrade, 2016). I learned from the academic course module that if a
person is a good learner then they can gain lots of benefits at anyplace like if they are in
academics then they can easily understand things which teachers tries to tell us through the
module and can give logical answering over the proposed questions. As same case implements
for the professional context, if I have good learning skills then I can adapt in the office
environment easily and learns their culture more productively. Thus, I will enable to differentiate
myself from others in the academics and workplace. So, I decided to become good learner.
However, it was not easy task for me to become a good learner because when I analyze my skills
and competencies with the support of skill audit tool then I become disappointed because there
were various skills from which I was lacking behind and there were some other skills as well
which make feel good because I was unaware about those skills which I have actually. For
example, I analyze that I have good problem-solving skills, writing skills, analytical skills and
negotiating skills. But there were some weak areas on which needs more improvement i.e.
communication skills, time management skills and stress management skills. As I know, these
weak areas are more important for me in future as well because if I want to become good learner
then I should have good communication and time management skills then I can learn work and
others skills effectively (Turner, 2019). A effective communication skills always keeps forward
to the person from the crowd and supports them to develop friend zone with opponents. As time
management skills develops a positive image in front of senior authorities and helps in

maintain their mental wellbeing during stress situation and keeps them proactive at each
situation. However, academic students and employees both have to face similar situation wherein
they unable to set up their mind during stress situation for example during exams, students often
feel more stressed themselves because they unable to fix up that how to continue their regular
study with the examination course study. As same with the employees, during peak period they
unable to handle to number of responsibilities effectively. So, I took guidance from the teachers
to improve my communication skills then they suggest me to learn good journals books and
participates in debates and group discussion competition. As resulted, I followed overall
guidance and reads good journals and understand how to communicate with people effectively. I
also joined some online training course to make my communication skills effective and
excellent. Thus, I have improved my communication skills. To improve time management skills,
I used 4D time management tool that supported me to complete number of tsks on time. With the
support of time management skill, I enable to segregate between academic study hours and self-
study hours. Thus, I have scored good in my class (Dastjerdi and Abedini, 2016). To develop
stress management skills, I read good journals & books through which I enable to calm myself
during examination period and takes guidance from the senior authorities as well who guided me
to make scheduled timeline in which enlisted high prioritize tasks. I followed this suggestion as
well and actually I have received good results. thus, I have developed and improved my all weak
areas through which I could have not become effective learner. But now I have developed as
learner.

In future I can face various challenges during university course like communicating with
other people in the class, confusion in picking right book for the right course, time deadlines of
the projects that will assign by teachers etc. It is quite common but it becomes big for the
students when they come in collage. As same issues I will have to face during university course
whereas I can face issue to communicate with new people. But I will deal with this issue with the
support of effective communication approach (Kebritchi, Lipschuetz and Santiague, 2017). This
approach supports me to understand other students’ viewpoints, feelings and ideas then I can
effectively communicate with them and makes good friends. Time management issue is another
that I can face in university because senior teachers assigns projects related to subject with time
