INTRODUCTION
Today, module provided by universities plays a vital role in a student’s life for
becoming an effective learner. It helps in acknowledging for number of skills and
abilities that a learner should possess, to get good employment after academics
(Pasquini and Eaton, 2020). Under the present assignment, a demonstration is given on
such a wide concept, about how modules helps in developing effective communication
skills, interpersonal abilities and more. These skills are essential for learners in giving
best performance during academics, as well as in performing their job roles and
responsibilities in future employment.
MAIN BODY
During academics, e-learning modules help teachers in diversifying way of teaching,
by using digital technology in their pedagogical pattern to enhance education quality.
Through such modules, learners especially those who are unable to take regular
classes, or taking distant course, get opportunity for personally learning (Chai and et.
al., 2020). They receive instructional courses to achieve performance objectives, easy
to grasp knowledge, self-pacing and more. In this sense, as a learner, I have also get
chance to improve my academic and professional skills, through e-learning module. In
addition to this, during lectures, getting engagement in classroom activities give me
support to develop interpersonal abilities, which are essential for every learner to
enhance professionalism in their behaviour and way of performing a task (Kemper,
Ballantine and Hall, 2020). In this sense, working on several academic projects and self-
assessments, aid me to not only develop abilities, but also identifying areas where I
need to work more, to become a professional. But before, to demonstrate which skills I
would like to grab after completing my graduation, a brief description is given below
about abilities that I have developed through modules and academic work –
Communication skills: To give better performance whether during academics or at
employment, it is essential for a person to possess effective communication skills
(Braender and Kapp, 2019). It will help not only in making good interaction with others,
but also influencing others to work in a prescribed direction. In this sense, through
modules and academic classes, I have gained knowledge about different types of verbal

and non-verbal communication skills. It helps in delivering and understanding
information with more accuracy, in easy manner (Afanasyev and et. al., 2019). Having
this skill, aid me to listen to others and show interest about what they say, so that
effective relationship within a team can be build, to achieve certain goals.
Time Management Skills: It is another main skill which is essential for being a
learner or professional, to work efficiently (Braender and Kapp, 2019). During
academics, getting engage in team-based activities and personalised training through e-
module, I have learned about importance of time management, which helps in
completing and submitting the assigned projects before deadline. A number of tools and
techniques like WBS, Gantt Chart and more, that can be used for scheduling various
activities related to a project, so that efficiency of outcomes can be maintained, within
set duration.
ICT skills: In professional life, knowledge about informational and communications
are essential to be possessed by learners, because today every employer demands to
give employment to those individuals who have efficient technical skills (Kemper,
Ballantine and Hall, 2020). Through such knowledge, employees can help organisations
in developing innovations, as well as overcome from hurdles and barriers with adoption
of new technology.
Team-working skills: To work with other professionals or learners in group-task
activities, it is essential to possess good sharing abilities and team-working skills (Chai
and et. al., 2020). This would help in getting support of others to work collaboratively, for
giving out best performance. Therefore, module and support of lecturers aid me to
develop such skills, so that in future, I will show my better efforts to manage a large
workplace or an associated team, positively.
Action Plan for own development
Learners during academic might face number of challenges like lack of
cooperation, learning difficulties, lack of attention of teachers, as well as demand to get
high professional and management skills (Pasquini and Eaton, 2020). Therefore, to
overcome from such hurdles and face future academic challenges, it is essential for
make a proper action plan. It includes areas where knowledge and skills need to be
developed by learners, including actions with a set duration. This would also help in

For this purpose, universities provide them both offline and online classes, to personally
and professionally develop skills.
