 Professional field experience is achieved through work
experience. It gives idea about future job market and culture.
 Critical learning events help a person to change his
perception and thought procedure (Kolb 2014).
 Flipkart Internet Private Limited, an e-commerce company,
based in Bengaluru, India, initially sold books before
expanding its business with other products, such as fashion
products, electronic products.
 Walmart is the owner of Flipkart Internet Private Limited

Critical learning event 1: Importance of
time
 A person has to know about the importance of time to
achieve success in private job.
 Biometric entry system keep a track of every entry and exit
timing.
 During the internship time, being late in workplace is not a
sign of punctuality
.

quantity of work
 The quality and quantity of the work need to be maintained
at the same time.
 A successful person in private job, maintain the balance
between work quality and the quantity of work.
 There is a huge amount of work pressure in
Flipkart Internet Private Limited.
 This e-commerce company is successful because this
company maintain the quality of the product.

Critical learning event 3: Professionalism
 Professionalism is the way of behaving, speaking, which
helps a person to achieve the success in workplace
 A person has to follow professional responsibility, obey the
workplace ethics, rules and regulation of work place,
physical appearance, in workplace, professional and formal
language to maintain professionalism.
 To work in Flipkart, a person should follow professionalism.

 Office politics creates negative impact on an employee.
 To manage office politics a person need professional field
experience (Marsick and Watkins, 2015).
 After the internship in Flipkart Internet Private
Limited, I gathered professional field experience.

Critical learning event 4: Idea stealing
 Idea stealing can happen in work place, academic area.
 In Flipkart Internet Private Limited, Mr. John
Smith stole the idea to develop technology to
stop the misuse of personal information
 To stop this idea stealing, a person has to be cautious.

Critical learning event 6: Control of
emotion
 In workplace a person should control his emotion.
 A person should use his anger in a constructive way to
achieve the target.

Critical learning event 7: Work
 Work is the first and foremost priority.
 Work of a person speaks for him.
 To achieve success, the key is work with quality and
quantity.

Critical learning event 8: difference between
academic knowledge and real life work
 Academic knowledge is acquired from the university and
textbook.
 Professional field experience is acquired from real life work.
 Real life wok experience is different from academic
knowledge.

Idea stealing
 Situation: In the internship time, Mr. John Smith, intern
manager of Flipkart stole the idea. the idea was to develop a
technology to protect personal information of customer.
 Affect: this incident create negative impact on the inventor
of the idea
 Interpretation: In future a person need to be more
cautious before sharing ideas with others.
Academic knowledge is different from
professional field experience (James 2013).
 Decision: Ideas do not have value, until it has physical
existence (Wei and Yazdanifard 2014).
