Generating
What?
I was part of a group discussion that was characterise by a brainstorming session that would give
rise to ideas that help in the development a new business. I was interested in an idea that dealt
with property management.
So what?
As this field was completely new to me, I felt that I had to gather information regarding the
same. Hence, I realised that I had to spend considerable amount of time in research. As a result
of the same, I became frustrated. I was aware that I needed to carry out research however, I was
not ready at first to spend time on the same. I was an important activity that needed to be carried
out even if I did not feel like carrying out the same at all.
Now what?
I have now realised that in order to gain effectiveness of operations in the business, I have
realised that I have to carry out operations in the field that I am effective in understanding. This
is what I have been able to understand that operating in the industry that I work in would help me
in working more effectively. Project management is a field that I am aware of and hence, it my
role to incorporate the same into my activities or operations in the organisation that I would be
able to start up in the future. This would also reduce the need for research which would be
needed to be carried out.

Developing
What?
As the leader of the group that I am a part of, I often face difficulties in contacting all the
members. The main issue that is faced by me is due to the inconvenience of contacting every
member individually and because it is an activity that is considered time consuming.
So what?
Apart from the issue of contacting them individually, I have often found myself getting annoyed
if someone is taking too long to answer the call or answer the text that I send them through
WhatsApp, Facebook or others. I am aware that communication is vital, however, due to the
unavailability of responses from the part of the other members, the process of communication is
slowed down which acts as a type of barrier to communication. I communicate to them to get
their opinion on the same before proceeding with a decision, however, lack of timely feedback
from their end slows down the process.
Now what?
As a result of the issues that I have been fading in the past to contact them, I have been thinking
of ways through which I am able to increase my ability to contact them. I have been able to
identify an option that would help to effectively gain responses from all the members of the
group. The platform that I have been able to identify is Google Docs and it is a platform through
which the members can fill questionnaires through which the responses can be arranged in one

place and would help me in saving my time. In future I would be going back to Google Docs for
such responses.
Pitching
What?
I used to face difficulties in public speaking. In previous occasions that I have been part of
situation where I would needed to speak with large audiences. I have found myself forgetting
speeches midway and also found myself unprepared which lead to various problems with public
speaking seminars or workshops.
So what?
As a result of my weakness in my ability to speak on public grounds, I have been unable to
effectively communicate my opinions to a large group of audience. As a person with future in
management, I need to carry out operations in activities that would involve speaking to people at
large. Thus, I have realised that I need to develop skills through which I am able to develop my
skill of communicating on a public basis. Furthermore, I would need to find out methods that I
can apply in order to effectively communicate to audiences at large.
Now what?
As a result of my inefficacy n communicating to large audiences, I have researched methods
through which I would be able to develop techniques through which I can develop better public
speaking skills. I have identified that keeping speaker notes and rehearsing before the speeches
would help me in giving better speeches. I have also identified the importance of confidence.

Thus, I am able to identify measures through which I would be able to compile the three aspects
that would help in tackling the issue more effectively.
