Reflective Journal on process of group presentations
A procedure where two or more people collaborate and deliver some messages on
specific concept is known as group presentation. In order to give presentation in a group there
are various kinds of strategies and skills have to use. Due to lack of appropriate and adequate
level of strategies a group is not able to give effective presentation. Therefore, attraction and
involvement both of the audience cannot gained by the group of people (Majid, 2016). While
delivering group presentation I working very hardly and properly. I worked to find out and
research various contents required in the presentation. Basic content considered while delivering
the group presentation is SWOT model of amazon business enterprise. Herein, strengths,
weaknesses, opportunities as well as threats of selected organisation are presented among
audience. It was a great experience of mine because I able to learn many things during this
process. Along with this, I become able to resolve wide range of problems which occur in this
task. In order to deliver a better and attractive presentation high level of co-ordination required
among group of people.
For delivering group presentation, I used some strategies and tactics by which I become
able to deliver an effectual presentation among group of audience. Basic tactic considered by me
is that, I rehearsed many times in front of family members and relatives. The reason is that, it
helps to me for becoming highly confident to give an attractive presentation among audience.
Apart from this, better level of co-ordination is established by all the group members before
giving presentation in front of audience. Basic cause behind this is that, when proper co-
ordination is not there then it is not possible to determine that which content will be presented by
whom. Therefore, presentation of the group cannot become attractive where involvement level of
audience will also affect up to the greater level. Moreover, slides must be made clearly and to the
point. When all the slides of presentation are not attractive then attraction level of audience
affects highly (Yee, Abdullah and Nawi, 2017). This particular aspect whole group presentation
in a negative or adverse direction. For resolving issue, we made slides where required content is
added to the point rather than para graphically.
In order to give proper and effectual presentation in group, I made wide range of
contribution in the group where we able to deliver the messages in an appropriate manner. I
contributed to research needed content like strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of

the amazon company. Once this is researched then my group members start to make slides which
is their contribution towards presentation. Apart from this, to select colours and background of
the whole slides required to present also we all contributed equally. A step of selecting colours
for the presentation slides is highly significant part. The reason is that, colours of all the slides
must be silent, attractive as well as professional. It will directly create a positive impact on the
audience where they easily want to involve in the group effectively.
It was first group presentation of mine where I have little fear as well as I feel nervous
while delivering messages about SWOT of amazon company. Due to giving presentation first we
all the members of group fear from several things that whether it will be better or not. After
completing this task, we got appreciation from audience which is moment of proud us. However,
we think that it can be more attractive and appreciable if it was more than one time. The reason is
that when presentation given more than one time, then we know that actually must be consider
while completing this task (Gallego, 2014). Throughout the presentation I able to learn that how
to present and deliver messages in front of audience effectively. Apart from this, issue of stage
fear removed and level of confidence enhanced which will support to me to give better
presentation in the future.
However, we faced some issues and problems as well during the process of preparing
slides and giving presentation. Basic obstacle faced by me is related to time management which
is highly significant part. At the time of raising issue of not meeting to deadlines properly we
consider time management skills. Along with this, we distributed specific works among every
group member which helps to complete the presentation on time. Moreover, collaboration
problem also raised where we held one meeting and make strategies to resolve this. Hence,
through such all the methods we able to make proper solution of all the obstacles occurred and
give better group presentation in front of audience.
