Abstract
In the following reflective journal the relevance of the topic is based on the human
resource development. The learning outcome from the previous assignment is examined on the
issues that are faced in Swarovski. The workforce management has a rich and long tradition in
the field of strategic management. The article focuses on the innovative strategy that is
inculcated in the production of jewels across the world. Due to the growing competition the
Australia in Vienna the competition was placed in crystal. In the journal the issues and the
challenges faced by the management team are resolved by the acquiring during the degree
programme that was adapted into the internship program. The critical evaluation is conducted
with context to the chosen company and communication skills during the internship. The overall
learning provides the information based on understanding and addressing the management issues
and suggesting for changes to this paper and how this programme will influence future
endeavors.
Introduction
In the recent decade the concept of human resource department has taken into attention of
many scholar and the world of corporate is mostly depended on the Human Resource
department. The strategic force of HRM is a belief that is contributed to the effectiveness of the
company. The learning outcome focuses on the casual and part time employees in Swarovski
(Aguinis, Edwards & Bradley, 2017). The reputed jewellery production company has always
focused in the overall development of its employees and in growth of market share. In the recent

time the company has improved the technology and also improved in the field of staff turnover
by 25% in United Kingdom. Further, the discussion on the issues faced by the organization in
Swarovski is stated along with the nature the skills, attributes and attitudes required to
successfully address the management issue identified as a manager or supervisor in the industry.
Method
Description of the issue
The first issue that has been recognized in the research study is the factors affecting the
training and development program of the casual and part time employees. There was a problem
with the performance of the casual and part time employees. With further assessment of the
research work there is an issue identified in the Swarovski employs were the issue aws with both
the casual and part time employees. The reason for this issue existed between the organization
because of lack of proper training and development program, which was not conducted for the
employee (Maltese & Vollbracht, 2016). Hence, it became challenging for the employees as well
as for the manger of Swarovski to continue to judge the performances of the employees.
Challenges and problem faced
The challenges and problem faced in the course of the learning outcome is in the area of
casual employee and the part time employee along with the factors that are negatively affecting
the performance of these employees. The reason stated for this particular challenge is because of
fast changing nature of business has made global organizations. The lack of training and
development has lead to a downfall in the operational system of the management. On the other
hand, the second area of challenge is analyzed in the growing competition in the market. A jewel
manufacturing company located in Vienna, Austriastated to be a major competitor in the market.

The increase in the competition in the market is also a major threat and challenge to the
company, which is hampering the revenue generation of the company and in turn the profitability
of the company in a huge manner. Hence a proper training for the employee is treated as a
challenge in Swarovski.
Resolving issue
The aspect of resolving the issue can be placed in the focal point of the research where
Swarovski can provide training, development and induction course to the employee. The only
way the problems can be resolved is by the technique of training as it is one of the important tool
for business entities to revamp the level of performance of the employees which facilitates in
achieving organizational success and growth. The building relationship with the employee
training and development remains as an asset for the goodwill of the company. The marketplace
has started facing changes on a frequent basis and has an impact on the products which are
offered to the consumers. Fast changing market trends have a huge impact on the ways by which
Swarovski can provide the improved products.
Effectiveness of the internship on professional growth and development
The effectiveness of the employee relationship in the working place and its influence
after the training program s being stated in the research study. The internship has created a major
factor in its contribution in professional field. The training and development program had
provided the ability to identify as one of the major factors that contributes to growth and
sustainability of modern organizations (Boyd, 2013). The course of learning has made any
employees aware about the job role and as a result there has been in the rate of retention

The highly skilled employees are required in the operational section of the management
function and are much more suited. The skill to achieve the respective target helps an
employee in achieving sustainable competitive advantage. The major portion that is
contributed by the organization is the offering of training and developmental program
(Richter et al., 2013). The facilitates that the employees achieve is the highest level of
objectivity and motivation that leads to improvement in their skills at both personal and
professional level.
The course of training has helped the employee to inculcate the skill of bridging the gap
between the current performance levels of the employees with that of the desired level of
output. The different technique that was providing in the training section was peer
cooperation, participation by subordinates, coaching and mentoring.
The implementation of training is relevant for the sake of development of particular
employee skills and abilities, and in turn enhancing employee performance. It assists the
technique of understanding between different levels of organizational level. The need of
knowledge skills and attitude, modules the knowledge skills and attitude.

The nature of interaction with the stakeholder is considered in the factor of analyzing the
situation and condition of the business. The stakeholders are related to the internal and external
factors that is mandatory for the manger to identify the expectation in the project lifecycle. The
organization has made efforts in sponsoring the training program to the employee for direct
interest in high level of training transfer. The stakeholder represents the organization that holds
the responsibility of participating before and training requires support, investigation and briefing
the participants about the objectives of learning (Hinterhuber & Snelgrove, 2016).
The role of the organization as a stakeholder is the provision that leads to training and
development program and contributes to the various levels of training transfer that depends on
the sector of the organization where it belongs to. The importance of stakeholder is relevant in
the position of leadership because he or she is the backbone of the functioning of the
management. The people who are interested to work in the company ranging from the upper
level of management to the lower level and even the customers are inclined (Fernández &
Ramírez, 2017). The responsibility is to broaden the pool of people so that the power of
functioning becomes easier for them. The importance of the stakeholder interaction in

Critical evaluation of your own organizational and communication skills during the
internship
The importance of communication skill can be gathered from all the sources that is
available in the organizational field. The aspect of developing an effective communication skill
is important so that during the course of internship a strong communication skill is developed.
This helps in solving problems of the employee during a conflict and also helps to explain work
to the workers. The more the communication skill is developed it assist to in sharing more of
information, which results into greater output of sharing. The communication process that is
developed by Swarovski is considered to be a vital aspect that has an influence on the methods
by which the organization can communicate with the customers. Proper communication is able to
play a key part in formation of a customer base and understanding their demands and needs as
well. The awareness of the products that are offered by a premium brand like Swarovski is able
to influence the revenue levels and position of the firm as well (Noe et al., 2017). The
communication can be in both verbal, visual, written and non-verbal. The gesture of a leader
speaks more than when it comes to mixing with the employee. Here the training and
development program assist the employee to practice communication so that he or she knows
when, what and how to speak. The training and development programs is a vital part of human
resource management practices and implementing the same results in extensive development of
the skills, knowledge and capabilities of employees in an organisation resultant in a huge

Overall experience
The overall experience in working for the organisation as an intern has assisted to
develop the skills that based on the training and development is one of the major component for
reducing employee turnover and improving the quality of performance. It had helped as an
individual to analyze the SWOT analysis for the organisation. The major opportunity as a source
of encouragement was the opportunity of creating an identity of the brand and also collaborating
with the PR based activities. Collaborations based on PR will be able to provide growth
opportunities to Swarovski. The awareness related to the brand can also be increased due to
relationships developed based on PR. The enhancement of digital presence is considered to be a
major aspect that is related to the improvement of the revenue levels of Swarovski.
Personal observations
The things that was observed during the course of learning was the importance of training
and development program. The training programed had framed to be an expert in the
communication skill and also train an employee the technique and skill of bridging the gap
between the current performance levels of the employees with that of the desired level of output.
Conclusion
Hence it can be concluded that the internship has molded had framed into a better
employee. There are various new technique and innovative skills that was training in the
development session. As per the concern for a jewelry organisation the innovative skills of the
organization is also an important aspect of the successful operations of Swarovski.
