Personal and Professional development is the continuous procedure through which an
individual can you learn new skills and also meet various challenges. With the help of personal
development and individual can identify their desired goals and improvise their skills so that they
can attend all the goals. Personal and professional development helps the individual to deal with
any situation and it provides them continuous learning and give them an opportunity to develop
their own skills through which they can easily get into different roles within any company.
When the individual have proper skills and knowledge then any organisation can hire them
because organisation know that this kind of employees can work efficiently in their company and
help their company to attend all the predetermined objectives.
I always have a desire to become marketing manager within the organisation so with the
help of personal and professional development I continually improving my skills and knowledge
so that I can become a marketing manager one day. In my career I have faced different situations
but I’ve always believed that whenever I go away even I work it doesn’t matter that in which
profile I am working I have to face different challenges and that challenges will bring me new
skills and learning opportunities.
By working with different employees who have from different culture in background I learnt
many new skills from them as well (Chow and et.al 2021). To enhance my skill I take various
skill training programs apart from this I have also learnt how to use new and advanced
technology so that I can finished my work effectively add within a given time frame.
Career and progression plan
Career progression plan is a straightforward plan. It is known as a roadmap which provides
detailed information about the employee. This plan is created by the employees and sometimes it
has been created by the managers as well so that they can review their performance skills and
knowledge. This plan is very helpful for the organisation as well as for the individual because it
provides future growth and immense success to the individual.

Career plan is also helpful for me because it helps me to get next level of my career
(Duggal, and et.al2021). It also helps me to understand where I want to go in my career and what
are my goals and desires. By having proper career Development Plan I felt motivated at the
workplace because it helps me a lot to concentrate on my goals.
There are various stages of career development plan
Recognise current position
This is the first and foremost step of career development plans where I can identify where
I am standing in the current position. This step also describes my current skill set and various
strengths. This step has helped me to know my past experience and what kind of talent and skills
I have? And what is my career motives all these things I have learnt from this step of career
progression plan.
Recognition of destination
his step is one of the important step in the career progression plan as this is that describes
where an individual want to go in the career. For me I want to attend the position of marketing
manager that is my career goal so with the help of this stage I will focus on my goal and I will
gain all the skills which is needed to become a marketing manager.

Skill audit
Skill audit is an assessment procedure of an individual skill and knowledge. An audit provides
evidence of all the skills and competencies of an individual (Dulschi, 2020). This is skill audit is
closely related with the need analysis of an individual and social health and to identify their
needs of training and personal development as well.
There are various skills which I have been found by skill audit such as I have self
motivation determination towards my work I always try to complete my work on a given time
frame. Apart from this I have an excellent problem solving skills which is very necessary to
become a part of marketing team because being marketing employee and i need to deal with
different situations and problems.
Apart from this I have other skills that I have the capacity and ability to work under given that

Teamwork is one of the important skill which an individual must have. This scale can
only be obtained whenever people work in a team. I have teamwork skill and I have the potential
and capacity to manage and handle the entire team. I was working in a team I’ve always found
that everyone should give respect to each other and always welcome the opinions and
suggestions of others.
Time management skill
Time management skill plays a vital role within an individual. But I’m lacking behind in
the skill and I want to improve my time management skill (Rimmer, 2018). Whenever I get any
work with target I get to indulge in researching about the work and therefore I got late to fulfil
the target and work. Therefore I am continuously trying to improve this skill.
Leadership skills
Leadership skill is one of the critical skill which every individual must have. When
people have leadership skills then they can easily guide others towards their individual goals and
targets. I do not have proper leadership skill because I can’t influence and encourage other
people towards their goals. Apart from this leader can only become a leader when they have lots
of followers. I am continuously improving on this scale and trying to become a good leader who
can encourage the team.

that I am poor in leadership skills and people are not listening to me and I am not able to
motivate them towards the job role.
