Introduction
I attended learning program of 12 week before conducting the actual business research.
The prime purpose of this learning course was to enhance my practical knowledge in regards to
research study. I have learned a lot about business research and enjoyed the learning course as
the best experience of my life. The learning course was also significant to help me in conducting
in conducting my assignment 1 and assignment 2 on the topic of the “importance of accounting
information system in organizational performance”. In this reflective journal, I will discuss my
important learning experience in a weekly manner which I gathered in the whole 12 week
learning program.
Week 1
In 1st week, I just started learning about different nature, strategies and process of
conducting research studies. My learning was associated with common research principle, which
could be applied in several business research studies. I understood the common and general
differences between academic research and business research. Such learning experience would
be highly beneficial for me to prepare every aspect of my business research study in perfect
manner. From my opinion, such learning experience has explored my research capabilities and it
can lead me through conducting several business researches successfully in my career life.
The learning experience provided me modular, flexible and professional course of study
and offer me with unique learning environment. I came to know about the importance of
conducting practical business research for gaining an insight into the core research study.
Furthermore, the learning program explained me with innovative experience, as I came to know

about unique research techniques, methods and strategies. I became able to enhance my
knowledge in business field, which would definitely assist me to handle any kind of business
situation in my future career. In this way, this learning experience would definitely add to my
exploration of future career.
Week 2
In 2nd week, I leaned the ways of designing and planning the research study for its
successful completion. It became clear to me that research method is quite different from
research design in regards to their functionality in business research. Most significantly, I came
to know about the case study, cross sectional, comparative, longitudinal and experimental
research having extreme significance in conducting research study. The learning experience
helped me quite a lot towards choosing the suitable research method as well as research design
for assembling the most significant information about research.
The learning course about the business research provided me with unparalleled learning
opportunities and learning experience in research field. Apart from that, the learning experience
gathered from learning course helped me lot towards developing my entrepreneurial skills in the
management of business accounting information system. From my opinion, the learning
experience is quite helpful in developing my business tactics and well as business research.
Moreover, the learning program provided me with theoretical learning as well as practical
learning about business research and implementation of accounting information system.

Week 3
My 3rd week learning experience was linked with learning about writing and reviewing of
business researches. It became clear to me that it is extremely important to recognize the prime
idea behind the research study and then conduct the research study based on that idea for
completing it successfully. I learned several sorts of business reviews and their significance in
the whole research study. It was highly evident to me that the structuring of the research study is
quite essential for completing it in successful way. On the other hand, the significance of social
norms in business research had also become clear to me in this week.
The learning course added unique practice my learning experience, as I prepared research
proposal for the first time in my life. The learning about research philosophy, research
approaches, strategies and data analysis contribited in my searching abilities. It has also explored
my personal traits as well as my professional traits. The learning experience regarding
accounting can help me in getting better job opportunities in my career life.
Week 4
In 4th week, I learned several aspects of research ethics and their values in completing the
whole research study in effective manner. My teachers provided me with appropriate ethical
codes and ethical guidelines in terms of professional association. It was highly beneficial for
finishing the research study successfully. In this way, such learning experience would definitely
contribute to keep maintaining ethics in educational as well as career life. The awareness
between ethical and unethical business practice can help me a lot in selecting only honest and
ethical work practice in my personal as well as professional life.

The learning course contributed in improving my searching abilities and interpretation
abilities. Moreover, my professors facilitated me in polishing my searching abilities to could
assist me to find authentic and detailed information for the research study to reach at right
research result. I have enhanced my writing and organizing skills through my struggle in
conducting business research. In this way, I have also enhanced my problem solving skills,
which can help me in resolving my personal problem as well as professional problems.
Week 5
In 5th week, I came to know about the details of qualitative research and properly read the
designing of qualitative research. I realized that in qualitative research, visual materials are
mostly preferred to collect data. Furthermore, qualitative research also assesses the behavior of
the participants in the research process. On the other hand the learning experience thought me to
differentiate between qualitative research and quantitative research. From this learning, I came to
know that qualitative research primarily deals with open ended questions to collect authentic and
in depth information about the research topic. I put more focus on theoretical and conceptual
result associated with qualitative research. It is entirely different from the result coming out of
quantitative data.
During the learning process, I read several types of lecture slides provided by my
professors in relation to my research topic. Apart from that, I searched detailed and in depth
information regarding the research topic on various websites for getting a better understanding
on the research variables. In order to get an in-depth understanding, I search for the information
regarding the research topic on YouTube videos. The YouTube videos were extremely useful for
me to gain insights in the business research.

Week 6
In 6th week, the learning course taught me the interview method associated with
collection of qualitative data. I found that qualitative data is much more flexible then quantitative
data. It needs uses of random sampling method for gathering the research participants in the data
collection process. The learning program of this week also taught me the concept of focus group,
which is also related to qualitative research. However, I found very much complexity in learning
the concept of focus group. I realized that focus group research is much more difficult than
Interview method. In focus group, it is quite difficult to gather research participants from similar
category.
During the learning course, I prepared assignment 1 and assignment 2 to get practical
knowledge about research study. In this way, I gained huge knowledge over business research.
Apart from that, the combination of lecture slides YouTube Google and other internet materials
have enhanced my knowledge about business research.
Week 7
My 7th week Learning Course was related to analysis of qualitative data that are mostly
collected from the participants of the research study. Most interestingly, I read about the codified
rules to control the data analysis process associated with the qualitative data. In this week, I also
came to know about the secondary analysis, which is an increasingly prominent part of
qualitative data analysis. I have gained practical experience of documenting and storing the
qualitative data. In my business research, I effectively reviewed and discussed qualitative data
analysis process for gaining accurate research result. Therefore, I must say that my business

research was extremely helpful for me to provide real life experience associated with qualitative
data analysis.
The business research provided me greater insights regarding data collection data
analysis and interpretation of collected data. My business research topic also provided me in the
experience regarding the importance of accounting information system for business
development. Hence, the business research has also explored my entrepreneurial skills.
Week 8
In 8thweek, I learnt the sampling and nature of quantitative research process. The
measurement associated with quantitative research is actually linked with the indicators of
business result. I read several types of sampling process associated with quantitative research.
Through my business research, I clearly understood the relevance of sampling process with the
overall research study. After this learning experience, I realized that probability sampling is a
perfect way of reducing biases in quantitative data that are collected from selected research
respondents. During the preparation of my business research, I selected adequate sample size and
accurate sampling technique in assignment 2 to gather the important information the importance
of accounting information system in business. Therefore, I can say that business research was
extremely important to provide me hands on experience in relation to research study. I can use
such experience successfully to conduct my final business research study.
Week 9
In 9th week, I understood the importance of structured and standard interview session
towards standardizing the process of asking interview question to the respondents selected in the

research study. The selection of respondents is extremely important for the success of structured
interview session. In this week, I also read about the process of designing and creating self
completion questionnaires. I found quite similarities of this self completion questionnaires with
the structured interview session. While preparing my assignment 1, I collected the most
important information about the research topic. The scopes identified in the literature review of
assignment 1 provided me the direction to design self completion questionnaire and interview
questions to collect most important primary information about research topic.
In my assignment 1, I became aware of the theoretical study associated with the business
research in highly comprehensive manner. The preparation of assignment 2 provided me the
understanding beyond the theoretical explanation about the research and it provided me an in-
depth understanding regarding the implementation of research study. Hence, the preparation of
assignment 1 assignment 2 was extremely helpful to enhance my practical experience in regards
to business research. In this way, the learning experience provided me a greater opportunity to
gain experience in the practical study associated with research study.
Week 10
My 10th week learning program was linked with finding the substitute way of survey
based measures, which is a significant part of the assessment of gather data. These methods are
generally incorporated with explicit rules for recording the manners and behaviors of the
respondents involved in the data collection process. Apart from that, the learning program of this
week put a major emphasis on the importance of reactive influence in the assessment of data
collected in the data collection process. The 10th week learning program was also about learning
of content analysis, which is the significant part of traditional qualitative research. As per this

analysis, the transparency and clarity of research questions is extremely important that are to be
asked to the respondents selected in the research study. The preparation of assignment 2 was
linked with selection of most accurate research method to collect suitable research information
about research topic.
After conducting assignment 1 and assignment 2, I had been introduced with several
types of research variables, which enhanced my knowledge about research variables. On the
other hand, the knowledge about sampling process increased by decision making and judgment
abilities. I got practical experience to determine the process of data interpretation in the results.
Moreover, the intention of conducting assignment 1 and assignment to was to have a practical
attempt in the business research to explore my practical research knowledge.
Week 11
In 11th week, I become associated with the significance and relevance of secondary
analysis towards successfully conducting business research. I understood that secondary analysis
deals with high volume data and large sample size. Hence, this process may be somewhat
complex in nature. However, I also found several advantages linked with secondary analysis that
can be extremely helpful to lead authentic research result. Furthermore, it become evident to me
that official statistics linked with secondary data are less likely to result in erroneous result in
business research. On the other hand, in 11th week, I also learnt the process of data analysis for
quantitative data. Most significantly, I learnt the application of SPSS data analysis tools to
analyze quantitative data gathered from research respondents. In this way, the learning
experience associated with both qualitative as well as quantitative research. It would definitely
help me to complete my business research successfully in my academic program. Hence the

preparation of assignment 1 and assignment 2 would have high level of contribution to explore
my academic as well as professional knowledge in the field of research as well as business
studies.
Week 12
May 12th week learning program was about the increasing importance of mixed research
method to have accurate and authentic business research result. The mixed method is consisted
of both qualitative as well as quantitative research. However, I also found the limitations linked
with mixed method research such as ontological impediments and epistemological impediments.
Hence, I became aware of both qualitative as well as quantitative, which would definitely assist
me to conduct complex research study in my future professional and academic life. The learning
course also taught me the ways of dealing with several difficulties and challenges in regards to
business study. I faced lot of difficulties and challenges, while preparing my research study.
However, my professors helped me out of these difficulties through their assistance. This
learning experience would be highly effective for me to resolve several difficulties and
challenges in my real life both including my personal and career life
The learning program provided me the learning experience associated with business
research, which can also be essential for me towards managing my career in a professional
manner. Through the practices of business research, I gained practical knowledge to apply
accounting information system effectively in the growth of business operation. In this way, this
learning experience will explore my career life, where I would be effective enough in suggesting
the best accounting principle to the organization for their business development. Apart from that,

the learning experience has also enhanced my communication skills, which will give new edge

Conclusion
In conclusion of this reflective journal, it can be said that the learning course was actually
intended to provide me practical study associated with business research. It has enhanced my
ability to formulate and conduct business research in a successful manner. The preparation of
assignment 1 and assignment 2 was highly important to give me the insight about business
research as well as the importance of accounting system in business development. I have learnt
to deal with complexities and challenges in my life through conducting the business research. In
this way, the overall Learning Course has white contribution in my personal life as well as career
