2REFLECTIVE JOURNAL
Introduction:
Learning experience is nothing but an interaction, a specific course or any sort of
program which leads to the growth of learning. It may include traditional settings of teaching and
learning or non-traditional settings. It is possible for people to learn in different settings and in
case people learn from their curriculum and projects itself it is an added benefit as well as an
advantage. It is possible for god learning experiences to create relevant, engaging and
memorable educational and life altering experiences which are capable of creating relevant
understanding for the future. It is also seen that learning experiences help people in getting
equipped to address the specific challenges of the adult learners. It is also helpful for the students
who are not able to concentrate and do not find their subjects engaging enough (D’Souza et al.
2013).
Answer 1:
“The entire experience of putting together assignments one and two proved to be a great
learning experience for me. The topic chosen was extremely valuable and important in the
present day scenario where commuting is impossible without proper means of transport. The
learning experiences are very helpful and make a person more knowledgeable and capable of
taking decisions on one’s own. Learning experiences are value based and they help in shaping
the character of an individual.”
The topic was to be studied in depth and also the situations which were faced by different
people as well as by different drivers who were forced to deal with certain issues. Learning
experiences are best in case they help in shaping the proper thought process of a specific

individual. The importance of learning experiences cannot be neglected at any cost. Thus I can
clearly state that the entire experience of working on Uber and understanding the nuances of the
company work and different models of business was informative and crucial not only with
respect to my research but the concept of learning as a whole.
“The topic and the method of study was so innovative and engaging that it did not require
much effort on my part to remain engaged in any specific situation. It often happens that there
are certain shortcomings of research conduction which had not been encountered in the present
scenario.” The teachers who helped me out were very encouraging and were an overall support
system to me. These learning experiences are such that they leave a long impact on the minds of
us students and help in the future careers no matter whatever they are (Arendt 2017).
Answer 2:
The learning experience on working on a topic of business research was something which
I can cherish for my entire life. This is because the project was step wise and this helped me
understand the different perspectives to the situations and also the circumstances of work that
had caused Uber to become such a huge name in the overall business scenario.
The clear understanding on the topic of transport system in the context of Uber became
crystal clear to me. The learning program helped me understand the impact of the application of
Uber and the driver behaviour and availability on the businesses of the companies. I also wanted
to make certain career choices for myself in the context of the understanding which business
research provided me with.
I cannot in any way advocate the compromise on the service quality as well as the ill
behaviour of the drivers. Harassment or ill treatment of any sort which has come out in the open

due to several mentioned reports is unacceptable under any means. Therefore I can clearly state
that the problems needs to be solved instead of being put off for the future.
Answer 3:
The process of choice of a research proposal is an immense learning experience. This is
due to the fact that the different methods of research are to be properly understood in different
specific scenarios. Organisations have to face challenges in their respective fields due to the use
of newer and better business models. The specific procedure assisted me in comprehending the
particular research method which would have been appropriate (Billett 2014). The procedure
also contributes to a learning experience which is considered with respect to the challenges
which are faced by Uber. A proper method of conducting the research was selected. There were
discussions which were made on the sample sizes to be chosen, the method of sampling to be
employed and the way in which the different steps of research were to be conducted. This entire
procedure was extremely enlightening and offered me a major learning experience. It was a very
enriching and informative experience as the overall understanding of the principles of transport
and application development as well as the utilization of business models helped in providing an
unforgettable experience of research conduction. It made me more knowledgeable not only about
Uber but about the entire procedure of research conduction as a whole.
Answer 4:
“Business research is concerned with the quite a few aspects of procedures of business
that are linked with the aims of the business, the target customers, the marketplace tends, the
processes of optimisation of business, the fiscal involvements the different scopes or possibilities
arising from the business as well as the likelihood of errors (Wilson 2014). There needs to be

proper consideration of the several procedures which are involved in the business.” In this
specific case extensive research was conducted on the Uber drivers, drives, vehicles, business
models and the growth and the development of the business which ultimately led to its success. It
also ensured that the development of the entire scenario of successful implementation of Google
was successfully done and implemented. It also helped in ensuring the fact that there was a
proper study being done of the topic which had been chosen for the purpose of business research.
Answer 5:
The major aim of conducting the research on Uber is to understand the scenario and the
challenges which are being experienced in the present situations. “The main objective of the
research is to institute and properly comprehend the strategies which Uber has employed because
of the expansion of a wide range of customers over a period of time by way of successful
operation. It is truly captivating that, something starting as a simple idea has now reached a
global layer of logistics and this has been responsible for bridging the gap with a proper divide of
bits and atoms with a demand network which is quickly expanding.” Thus this research aims to
study all the issues in a proper manner in order to reach a specific direction of research and in
this manner help in the overall understanding regarding the chosen concept (Eriksson and
Kovalainen 2015).
Answer 6:
The entire experience was a learning experience for me. I intend to apply it in my day to
day life a well. I will try to be a proper and dependable customer. I will make it a point to ensure
that after all my trips I record my opinions on the level of facilities and share the experiences of
my ride will all on the app. In case I find any sort of misbehaviour I will also make it a point to

report it. Apart from the negatives I will also try to ensure that all the positives of the situation
are also reported by me and this will also help in the benefit and prosperity of the respective
application. I will also try to be a responsible customer at all times and will also apply all that I
have learned in course of the business research as and when it is applicable.
Conclusion:
In the present world, transport is crucial to visit any place or commute from one place to
another. It is therefore essential to have certain means of travel which make the travelling
experience nice and proper and worthwhile. Uber is one such application and service which is
aimed at making travel easy for the customers. The ease of use and the different facilities make
it beneficial for travel for either day to day requirements or for luxury purposes of travel. This
overall learning experience taught me a lot as to what goes into making a company successful
and it also made me understand the importance of keeping things simple and beneficial for
proper use and development. Therefore the session of business research and the choice of the
case study of Uber was a great choice and the things which I learned with remain with me for a
long time to come.
