Journal and Reflective Writing
AI Summary
This reflective journal provides an analysis of cloud computing, examining its advantages, disadvantages, and public perception. The student conducted research using surveys and interviews to understand the current state of cloud computing, including its acceptance rate among the general public and the facilities it offers. The research objectives included determining factors required for the technology, identifying its benefits, and addressing implementation challenges, with a specific focus on its popularity in Australia. A literature review revealed gaps in the understanding and application of cloud computing. The research methodology involved both primary and secondary research, including surveys and a review of journals and articles. The survey was conducted among smartphone users, and the results highlighted a lack of awareness about cloud computing among the general population, although the overall sentiment towards technology and innovation was positive. The journal also discusses the limitations of the research, such as the absence of participation from large companies. The student provides references to support their findings, providing a comprehensive overview of cloud computing from a research perspective. This document is a past paper available on Desklib, a platform providing AI-based study tools for students.

1REFLECTIVE JOURNAL
For reviewing the progress of learning, it is known that there was a research conducted to
ascertain the outcome. Firstly the primary questions based on cloud computing on both its
disadvantage and advantage was prepared which helped in ascertaining the present condition of
cloud computing. The reason behind the questions were the need to analyse the change and
developments of the field as well as having a clear view about which companies are included in
the investments for cloud computing. The questionnaire was also to note the acceptance rate of
the technology among the common people. Another reason that the questionnaire was prepared
was to identify the facilities of cloud computing. The objectives of the study that was chosen to
conduct the research was determining the factors required for the technology, identifying how
cloud computing is helpful and what challenges they face during the time of implementation.
The objective of the study was also to check the popularity of cloud computing in Australia.
However, a recommended plan was also another objective identified in order to help in the
innovation of the technology of the service.
There was a literature identified about cloud computing and it is found that it had many
gaps which were regarding the using of cloud computing as well as in the scope and examples of
cloud computing. As a researcher, I came to know that cloud computing is helpful in installing
and utilizing of the third party servers for annexure of company and communication. I found out
that the cloud computing service also helps in using the software applications that are operated in
computing system. Information and data storing is another helpful advantage, that is provided by
cloud computing, which has access from any place. While researching I found that Google
application is a software-hosting model of cloud computing, apple I cloud and Microsoft online
office are model example of cloud computing services. There are many scope of cloud
computing which are gaining of popularity among its users. Though there is a problem of

awareness about the service at present as found during the research but noting its present
achievement it can be said that it will gain expansion after few years. Many information
technologies have already noted the importance o the service and are investing for the service
innovation and expansion. The service is very flexible, compatible and mobile and this is the
overall asset that the service has to carry forward their journey, this is another findings of the
research. The innovative and upgraded technologies in the smart phone and tablets is very
impactful on the cloud computing business and that is why the service is thought of gaining the
popularity in the future days. The cloud computing is helping the service of improving
communication in terms of social media.
I used some methodologies for researching the overall outcome of the cloud computing
service and noting its advantages and disadvantages. Research methodology was used as a
process to note the truth of objectives of the study. For the primary research, I chose to perform a
survey among common people and interview some executives to get the knowledge about the
primary objectives of the research. Secondarily, many sources like journal, newspaper articles as
well as some books of information technologies to get more knowledge about the topic. I have
followed both analytical and theme based research process because I had to conduct both
primary and secondary research on the topic to get a required and proper solution.
Research design was an important tool for my research as without it I would not have
been able to ascertain the research design by allocating ways of data collection. Hence, The
instruments that I used for the research was the secondary form of research and a wide literature
review on cloud computing for understanding cloud computing mechanisms. The secondary data
can be used medium that helps in formation of fundamentals of primary research. The theory that
comprises of the literature review provides confirmation to the chosen path of the research. The

primary data were gained from the respondents and hence the research became more trustworthy
for the readers. The survey was conducted among the people using advanced technology smart
phone. The companies that are providing help to develop advancement and innovation were
interviewed for reliability of the service. The survey was conducted among 90 people using
smart phones and for avoiding the deviation, the conduction of survey was necessary. There were
few limitations of the research and the limitations were that the response that was gained from
the survey did not at all meet the requirement of the research. This was because the absence of
participation of the big companies in the process of interview and this made the research quite
incomplete. However, the result was thought to be positive and it came out positive from the
people that I surveyed. I got many responses from the people that I surveyed about the lack of
reliability towards technologies. Many people claimed that they do not understand much about
the technologies and they really did not appreciate the technological arena of the present world.
Though some people claimed that technology and innovation is good but many people
denied to have the knowledge about cloud computing. I am not at all surprised with this review
and nor am I unaware of this kind of response because it is true that cloud computing is not a
term that the local people is familiar with and they do not pursue a huge idea regarding the
concept of cloud computing. Some people proposed many implementations that would help the
cloud computing to be more innovative and some proposed few disadvantages of technology.
They highlighted factors like increase of stalking by using internet, abusive videos and many
more. Overall, it can be said that while researching about the advantages and disadvantages of
cloud computing I came up with many issues, both positive and negative and I have got an
insight about the concept in a precise manner.
