Reflection
I have experienced numerous feelings while completion of this particular foundation
year. This experience has helped me to analyse my weaknesses and strengths and made me
aware about the number of things that is needed to improve in me. Large number of skills has
been learned by me and many challenges has been faced by me during this course. All these
challenges has boosted me in order to perform much better. Here is the complete description of
my experience and learning during this course. The reflection will be performed with the help of
Gibb's reflective cycle. This is consists of mainly six stages and that is, Description, feelings,
evaluation, Analysis, conclusion and actions plan. My entire experience is based on studying the
degree of business management (Adeani, Febriani and Syafryadin, 2020). During these years I
have analysed many things. I have chosen this degree for my career as I have high interest in the
field of business and I want to do something in the field of business. While pursuing the
foundation course, I made my vision clear that, I want to loin business field as it is my passion
and my goal as well. Throughout the time I have learned numerous things that went well and not
so well. Thus, it was the experience that is full of positive and negative scenario as well.
Numerous assignments has been given to me during the year, at initial stage I was
worried that, I cannot attempt all the things on time and this may lead to impact my academic
result, however, with the passage of time my confidence level has been boosted up and made me
enable to achieve all of my task with in decided time-frame. A group assignment has been given
to me and my friends. The starting of the assignment went drastic as no coordination was among
all the members. Furthermore, the task that has been given to each member was not completed
on time. As I was very keen abut role and I try to make effective contribution. However, this did
not worthy at all. Team work is consists of team effort a single individual cannot make it perfect
(Bamford, 2020). Thus, the outcomes was not so good. Two of the members in the group always

seems unsatisfied. My confidence level went down as I was trying to give my complete efforts
and due to other members the task was not going on track. I had explored numerous feelings
throughout the time. My tutor has provided me immense support throughout assuring me
mentoring. While, analysing the experience I got to know numerous things that went well and
those that do not. I found that, I have less effective communication skills and due to that my
large number of doubts has been remained unclear.
Also, in the group task, I did not express my problems that I had faced due to less
coordination among all the members. Thus, my less effective communication skill has worked as
a barrier for me. Also, in many of the assignments at initial level I did not perform good and this
was due my ineffective writing skills. Thus, while analysing the experience I got to know my
strengths and weakness as well. Also, support to my tutor and effective skill related to time
management and critical analysation has added positive aspects in my experience. I am highly
curious about completion of task on time as being punctual is the important parameter of
professional character and in my career I want to become a professional that deals in business
field. Thus, I made my contribution in completing the task within selected time. Also, my skill
related to critical analysation has enabled me to increase my researching power. In order to
establish my career in business and management it is mandatory that I must possess effective
researching and evaluation power that helps me in taking most appropriate decision. Thus, while
pursuing my course I became able to analyse my these strengths. From my experience the final
conclusion that has been arrived is that, I have some strengths that can creates large number of
opportunities for me in future. However, within this, I have weaknesses as well that may act as a
threat and barrier in my career and achieving of my desired goal. Therefore, I need to make a
keen focus over this. The major area of improvement that is required by me is focusing on my
communication and writing skills. So, this can lead to shape my character in professional
manner. Moreover, I need to make focus over working in a team and discussing the doubts with
team member. So, the effective team collaboration can be assured.
My over-all experience has cleared my vision regarding my goals and the areas of
improvement required to achieve the objectives. Thus, I will focus on my weak areas so, I can
change that weaknesses into strengths. I have made an action plan in relation of my weak areas. I
want to improve my communication skills and for that it is important to become effective
speaker and listener as well (Mary, 2020). Thus, I will assure focus over this. I will part in

numerous group discussions. Also, I will try to understand the opinions of my mates. The major
focus I will provide in discussing my doubts with the people as this is one of the biggest
drawback for me. The feedback from my tutor will help me to know whether I have improved
my communication skills or not. For gaining success in my career that is linked with the field of
business management it is mandatory that I must possess the effective writing skills as well. As
this will add glory in my vocabulary. Thus, I will assure focus over this parameter I will watch
videos related to improving vocabulary and then, I will make notes over my major learning. As a
result, this leads to make my writing more effective. This further leads to add glory in my
professionalism.
