INTRODUCTION
Reflective practice mainly helps in defining about taking various actions for learning
and continuing the adaptation processes. The emotional intelligence and self-awareness is
mainly the ability to understand other emotions, feelings. This report provide detail with
reflecting on the self-assessment results and reflecting on learnings from experiences.
MAIN BODY
Results from the self-assessments:
The results which I have obtained from the self-assessments will show the scorings which I
have gained while assessing and evaluating self. As the six emotional intelligence mainly
includes six competencies. The competencies are as follows: self-awareness, awareness of
other, authenticity, emotional reasoning, self management, positive influence, As from the
overall results while measuring the emotional intelligence ability I have score low in the self
awareness, awareness of other and positive influences. As in the self awareness I have scored
around 4 out of 5. as with the low scorning from other competency I will not be able to
utilise my emotions and use them while taking better decisions in life and in the workplace.
Also I have scores low because I was not aware while performing various task and activities
while assessing this resulted ion low scoring in the self-awareness. But I was not satisfies
with this score it can be much better as I have the ability to seek professionalism over my
negative thoughts and handlining panic situation in more easy manner. Further in awareness
of other I have scored 3.6 out of 4.6. as I am not able to properly recognise the behaviour and
body language of other and I am unable to relate what other feel as due to lack of empathy
skills. In authenticity I have scored good 4.4 out of 5, as I am able to share my feelings with
being expressive and consistent while communicating with others. Example: I have failed in
the self awareness while performing the activities as I was not able to focus due to negative
feelings and thoughts on the given task which hinders in taking the decision to complete it on
time. Also in emotional reasoning I have scores 4 out of 4.4, this is the highest score as I have
the ability to ask and involve other while taking decisions and considering multiple
perspectives while taking decisions. Thus, I am satisfied with obtaining the overall results
with assessing my emotional intelligence and IQ level. Further in self management scored
around 4.3 out of 5 and in the positive influences sored low at 4 out of 5. As I am effectively
managing myself by controlling my anger and prioritising work for completing it in time. But
in the positive influence I am not able to positive effective support to others

I have learned skill and acquired ability while reflecting on the experiences on IQ, as this has
helped me in being more observant with my own thoughts and feelings and developed the
importance of acquiring IQ and EI in oneself. as this competency will help me in handlining
my emotions and results in taking good decisions in the workplace. I found this assessment
very interesting as it assisted me with improving my lacking areas. This reflection has helped
in handlining and being more aware about being emotionally active and open minded to work
effectively with others (Kastberg, Buchko, & Buchko, 2020). I have also learned that
sometimes I am not able to understand my own emotions and feelings, also I am not able to
positive influence others by lacking empathy.
With reflecting on the gaining ad self-assessing about the emotional intelligence , I will apply
this to improve my self-awareness , awareness for other and positive influences. I will apply
this to improve these to lacking areas , because comparatively from overall evaluation these
scored less (Marić, Kovač & Habek, 2018). As improving the self-awareness will help me in
building the ability to understand the impact of behaviour and feeling on work. Also using
this insight will help me to better respond and connect with other for improving the
awareness for other. Furthermore, developing the positive influence this competency will
assist me in supporting and helping others effectively by creating positive influences and
build the ability for being more empathetic (MacCann and et.al. 2020).
CONCLUSION
From the above report it can be concluded that reflecting on the emotional intelligent
by the self-assessments mainly helped me in identifying the lacking areas, skills and
knowledge I have learned with reflecting my experiences.
