To make my assignment effective, it was very important to study and learn the concepts of the
knowledge management and the information in every context for the development of the
assignment. Further, in order to complete the assignment of knowledge and information
management in project environment of the healthcare organization, it was necessary to find the
key components of knowledge management and the information in order to perform the tasks
which were given in four weeks.
For creating the literature review of the paper, it significantly needed the great amount of skills
and the knowledge, and various journal articles are being read in order to implement the base of
the study for the further development. For the academic writing skills, I intricate the significant
context of the thesis in order to make my assignment according to the level of professionalism.
Further, for my objective, I studied the concepts in depth and gained the knowledge of
information and the knowledge management and its pros and cons in the organizations and how
they can be improvised so that the organization can achieve sustainable competitive advantage
along with the maximization of the profitability. Also, the books and the articles were read in
order to gain the knowledge. By doing this, the basic idea of learning was being generated to
complete the assignment effectively. So, for the skills advancement, the thoughts and the
analysis were focused and further this helped me in learning new concepts of development of
research analysis.
Moreover, in order to gain knowledge by reading various articles and the books related to the
knowledge management and the information, it required various aspects. And in completing the
assignment by step by step, it needed the great set of expertise and the skills. For instance, the
learning from the e-tivity of four weeks is given below which helped me in completing the
assignment effectively.

Learning from Week 1: Key Concepts & Perspectives on Information & Knowledge
Management
The purpose of the week one was to understand the nature of the knowledge in the organization
which I am familiar with or working with. This activity helped me in learning the approach of
the knowledge management which was practice-based and the information management’s
perspective of the objectivist. After learning the differences between the two, I observed that the
healthcare organization in which I am working is using the model of an objectivist perspective of
the knowledge management. As the organization offers health services to the patients, so it
requires theoretical knowledge which is the significant kind of knowledge. Further, the
theoretical knowledge demonstrates the principles and the abstract knowledge which further can
be codified in the system of framework and rules for the action. I have also observed that the
tacit knowledge is being embedded within the human activity practice (Cepeda, G., & Vera, D.
(2007).
By leaning the concept of the knowledge management and relating it to the organization where I
am working helped me in understanding the concept in depth. I have understood the importance
of knowledge management and how it can impact the organization positively and adversely.
Further, I have understood that how the competitive edge of the organization gets impacted and
how the sharing and disseminating of knowledge affects the functioning of the organization.
Also, I have understood that the organization is facing various challenges because of inefficient
knowledge management and the staff is not able to share the information because of the security
loopholes. It has been observed that the healthcare organization requires the reliable information
management system so that the information can be effectively shared and disseminated among
the members of the staff. Further, this will help the organization in order to provide best quality

services of health to the patients. And there will be a great coordination among all the
departments.
Learning from Week 2: Knowledge Creation & Sharing; Socio-cultural Aspects of
Knowledge Management
The purpose of the second week was to understand and analyse that whether the socio-culture
aspects impacts the knowledge management of the organization or not and how the knowledge is
being created, shared and disseminated within the organization. After getting the theoretical
knowledge, I applied the knowledge to the healthcare organization where I am working, and I
have identified that some of the professionals of the healthcare organization are dominating and
they share the information according to their own benefits. Further, I have also observed that
most of the staff members are not the part of the sharing of the knowledge as they are only told
what they are supposed to do. Some of them are afraid of sharing of information because of the
various loopholes in the organization. Also, I have observed that the culture of the organization
greatly affects he knowledge management. The process of communication is not adequately
effective as there is the chaos in the channels of the communication and the staff member faces
difficulties in creating, sharing and disseminating the information (Cabrera et al., 2006).
On the basis of my theoretical and practical learning, I would like to suggest that the healthcare
organization must implement the system of enterprise resource planning as this will help the
organization to improve and effectively use the knowledge management. As this will help in
improving the channels of communication and the positive environment will be created in the
organization which will help in completing the projects timely. The objective of the week 2
helped me in understanding the importance of knowledge management in the organization and
the socio-cultural aspects of the organization. Therefore, it is very important to have an effective

process of knowledge management as it helps in building strong relations among the employees
and the performance of the employees get improved productively.
Learning from Week 3: Knowledge Management Enablers; ICT Tools & Technological
Trends
The purpose of the third week was to identify the advantages and the risks which are being
associated with the tools of the information management. Further, I tried to analyse the
information system of the organization where I am working, and I identified that the organization
is using share-point which is intranet based for the purpose of managing the documents and also
sharing and disseminating the information. I have observed that the share-point enables the staff
members in order to collaborate with each other for sharing the knowledge and the documents.
This further helps the staff to interact with ease. And the individuals, teams and the groups are
being linked together with the help of the intranet for sharing and disseminating the knowledge
effectively (Dalkir, K., & Liebowitz, J. 2011).
Moreover, I have observed that the information technology which the organization was using
was not reliable to a great extent. As the information was not shared and disseminated among the
staff appropriately. The tool of the share-point highly relies on the customization and the
capability of the user. Further, the information is being shared informally among the employees.
The information is not shared adequately, and the data of the patients is not used properly. In my
opinion, I think that the organization should implement the effective system of enterprise
resource planning as it will help in storing the data at the backend along with the great policies of
the security.
Learning from Week 4: Knowledge Management in Project Environments

The purpose of the fourth week was to understand and unfold the reasons which cause the failure
to transfer of knowledge among the projects. During this week, I understood that the failure to
project management can occur in various categories like individual, technological and the
organizational level. Further for the better understanding of the week’s learning, I tried to
identify the challenges of knowledge management in the healthcare organization where I am
working, and I have identified that the organization is facing various issues like that there is not
efficient time in order to share the knowledge among the colleagues on a specific topic. Further,
the members of the staff are afraid to share the knowledge because of the security of a job. Some
of the staff members are dominant is sharing the knowledge explicitly as compared to the sharing
of tacit knowledge like the experience of the job, observation and the skills of the problem
solving. Some of the staff members do not have adequate interpersonal skills.
Further, the organization do not have any monitoring system which makes sure that the shared
and the disseminated knowledge is relevant or not. Furthermore, the healthcare organization do
not have appropriate managerial and the leadership direction on the basis of the communicating
the values and the advantages of sharing the knowledge practices. Also, at the level of
technology I have identified that the healthcare organization is not having the effective system of
information. The information system is developed in some of the departments only, and in other
departments the channels of communication is not effective, and this impacts the knowledge
management, therefore, it is very important for the information technology system to be effective
as it helps in keeping track of all activities which are being conducted in the organization (Baxter
et al., 2009).
Initially, it was important to take out the research along with the adequate material of reading
and the apprehension status additionally the academic writing. Further, for the deeper study of

management, in includes the rigorous reading and the writing and it became important to develop
the assignment. The journals were used, and the most important information of the organization
has been used where I am working. Each and every bit of the information is completely used in
order to write the effective assignment. The essential subject of the research was to identify and
understand the role and importance of the knowledge management and the information in the
organization and what challenges the employees face in order to create, share and disseminate
the information without giving rise to the loopholes of the security. Further the reading materials
which were being used in order to gain the knowledge to write the assignment were completely
explored and utilized. Moreover, the reading materials helped me in understanding that what are
the challenges which are being faced by the business in different sectors which impacts the
performance of the operations and restricts the growth of the organization. The handbooks of the
organizational behaviour, knowledge management and the various methods of the information
technology system were being used in order to create the assignment of professional level.
Moreover, the skills were required for the purpose of writing the assignment and the exclusive
knowledge was required to develop the assignment effectively. The information was gathered
from the various sources and from the organization where I am working. Further, various
methods were used in order to gather the information and to analyse the results before writing the
academic assignment effectively.
I have gained the knowledge from the secondary by using the approach of quantitative and
qualitative. Most importantly the journal articles were reviewed in order to become familiar with
the trends of the technology and how employees are dealing with it and whether the information
and knowledge management is impacting their performance adversely or positively.

Further, the data was analysed which contained the knowledge of efficient and the effective data
along with the functions, activities and roles of the tools of the information system and the
knowledge management. While writing this assignment I have learned the basic of reading and
also I tried to identify the perspective of the businesses when I was gathering the information.
Further, I took the various ways in the ability like I continuously read the journals, I had various
questions while I was reading and gathering the information, I used and followed all the rules

Moreover, I have learnt the distinct styles of referencing while going through the journal articles.
And I have also applied the references in my assignment in one of the given styles of
referencing, and I tried to make by assignment the successful and the effective one. Also, my
assignment can be used by others for the further study by using references.
Additionally, in order to develop the skills of writing and the reviews, it is important for
improvising the skills in every purpose in order to fulfil the objectives and the goals while
writing the assignment. While searching the information, I have read various papers of
management as well in the content of the multi-tasking environment of working with distinct
stages or levels of work and field which comprise the key components which helped me in
evaluating and generating the assignment effectively. Further, I can see that my work can be
impacted by the story of assignment development as and when needed. Also, the technology
helped me in creating the plan of the assignment with the positive mind set. This helped me in

In order to be successful, it requires acknowledging the complete skills set and further work in

gathering and analysing the information by studying various books, management papers and the
articles in order to make my assignment the best one. I have also done in-text citation while
using references so that the professor can see that the work is not copied from the anywhere and
the appropriate research is being done to write the effective academic assignment. Therefore, I
have successfully implemented my knowledge, qualities of leadership, skills, purity, authenticity,
