INTRODUCTION
Continuous professional development refers to the ongoing process of maintaining,
documenting and developing the professional skills. These are the skills which can be gained
into formal manner through training or courses or into the informal manner through on the job or
by watching others as well. This process basically initiates from identifying the development
requirements by planning and then carrying out the learning activities to reflecting on the
learning and then apply and share it with others as well. The present report will cover discussion
about in which manner the module or attending the university has contributed towards
achievement of employability and study skills. These skills are basically related to
communication skills, research skills, teamwork and networking, self management and problem-
solving skills as well. This reflection can be evidenced through Gibbs reflective cycle or Kolb's
reflective cycle.

From the perspective of academic, attending university or module has positively
contribute towards achievement of employability and study skills as well. While attending the
university I have learnt various kinds of skills which include communication skills whether it is
written or verbal. I have also learnt about research skills which helped me in terms of doing
research into appropriate manner so that results can be achieved into positive manner. I have
basically learnt about the usage of ICT skills as well which is related to information and
communication technology. While learning at the academic level, I have explored various kinds
of skills which helped me in terms of becoming independent at the professional level and also
contribute into context of achieving employability status as well.

I have worked in various kinds of projects at the academic level where i have learnt about
team work and networking as well. The team work has helped me in terms of getting learn about
how to do work within a group or team at the professional level so that tasks can be achieved
within a set period of time. At the academic level, I have also learnt about time management so
that I can properly divide my time for every kind of activity at the academic level. Time
management also help me in terms of dividing time for each subject so that I can give proper
time to every subject into result oriented manner. Self-management is the skill which helps me in
terms of maintaining balance between my personal and professional life so that I can properly do
every kind of work into result oriented manner. I have learnt about problem-solving skills which
help me in terms of facing every kind of challenge at the academic level with the positive
attitude.
I have also learnt about the effectiveness of these skills at the professional level so that I
can achieve proper results into proper manner. While learning these skills I have faced various
kinds of experiences which helped me in terms of becoming more stronger at professional and
academic level as well. In context to Gibbs reflective cycle, I have to pass various stage into
positive manner which is defined into the following manner:
Description of the experience: While learning these skills I have faced various kinds of
experiences which includes about way of learning and process through I have to went
through for learning purpose. It has happened at the time of learning while learning at the
university level. During this experience, my teachers, classmates and friends were present
there and other people also attending the classes for purpose of learning. The outcome of
this experience is that now I become more confident and independent in terms of the

Feelings: While learning these skills at academic level, I have felt that during this

During this situation, I was thinking that how can I learn these skills, will I be able to complete
this course of skills within a set period of time or not. Now, I am feeling very positive about my
development and open towards the professional world as well.
Evaluation: Under this situation, I have evaluated that there are certain things which
went well for me and there are things which were not went well for me during this time
period of experience. I have good experience about the support system from my teachers,
classmates and friends as well so that I can properly learn these skills into result oriented
manner. During this experience of learning, the thing which did not worked for me is
regarding the doubt session classes which has been addressed into appropriate manner
due to which I take long period of time in order to complete the learning of these skills.
Analysis: It has been analysed from this learning experience is that there are certain
parameters which did not worked for me due to which it becomes difficult for me
completing the learning of these skills into appropriate manner. In the overall manner, i
have analysed from the situation that it is very important that to take care about every
aspect of learning into positive manner. While learning it is very important that a proper
learning environment and support system should be there so that the learning process can
be completed within a set period of time.
