This reflective report evaluates the challenges that global firm might face in terms of
managing the global team. This reflective journal has a wider scope as it aids to develop the
knowledge regarding factor responsible for causing the challenges in regards to global team
management. It has also scope to comprehend the potential factor regarding risk mitigation in
global team management. It has also scope to understand the impact of managerial
competencies in the management of global team i.e. managerial skills and practices at JB Hi-
Fi.
1. Evaluate the effectiveness and your usefulness of the learning experience
Through the literature review, I have developed my understanding regarding factor
responsible for causing the challenges in regards to global team management. In this way, it
is evaluated that there are different companies that considered the internationalization trends
of globalization to get the opportunity for business growth (Van Der Vegt, et. al., 2015). This
learning procedure will be used by me in an organization in order to obtain corporate level
strategic success by their global team and globalized management structure. From the
assignment 1, I have developed my knowledge that global firms and global teams facing
complexities to meet the standard of customer-oriented business performance. This process
will be useful for me to develop the global team. It is assessed that there is no single model
that can fit at the efficient level in order to manage the global team (Glendon, Clarke, and
McKenna, 2016). Thus, I have observed that tailoring the operation to the local area is
extensively complex and the resulting difficulty in the attainment of potential growth scale
and also difficulties in completing aim and objectives. From the literature review, I have also
enhanced my learning that team management is prime challenges for managers. In this way, it
is assessed that strategies, objectives, and operations vary in different areas as company face
concerned to deal with the business (Blaikie, et. al., 2014).

risk mitigation in global team management. In this way, it is identified that cross culture
conflict should be transformed into collaboration in order to mitigate the risk (Bromiley, et.
al., 2015). I have also pointed out that having globalized team structure lead to the growth of
conflicting concern at the high extent and could be tough for managers and supervisors to
resolves the queries. Through the literature review, it is observed that there is the certain
mode of resolving the conflicts such as video conferencing, telephonic conversation, and

regarding the impact of managerial competencies in the management of the global team. In
this way, I have developed my comprehension that in the global firms, the average

of supervision is to remain far behind the demanded performance productivity criteria
(Giannakis, and Papadopoulos, 2016). I have also learned that early training session is
required for managerial leadership, as it may lead to success in a global firm. I have also

conduct the research. Through this structure, I gained my understanding towards research
time plan that offers the structure for the attainment of each research activity. Moreover, it is
also evaluated that Gantt chart is used a graphical representation of time frame about
research. As a result, this study could be effective for the attainment of each research activity
in the specified time frame (Beamish and Lupton, 2016). This learning could also be
effective in gaining my understanding with respect to the challenges of the global firm at the
time dealing with team global level.
