Introduction and Reflective Journal Scope
This reflective report evaluates the challenges that global firm might face in terms of
managing the global team. This reflective journal has a wider scope as it aids to develop the
knowledge regarding factor responsible for causing the challenges in regards to global team
management. It has also scope to comprehend the potential factor regarding risk mitigation in
global team management. It has also scope to understand the impact of managerial
competencies in the management of global team i.e. managerial skills and practices at JB Hi-
Fi.
1. Evaluate the effectiveness and your usefulness of the learning experience
Through the literature review, I have developed my understanding regarding factor
responsible for causing the challenges in regards to global team management. In this way, it
is evaluated that there are different companies that considered the internationalization trends
of globalization to get the opportunity for business growth (Van Der Vegt, et. al., 2015). This
learning procedure will be used by me in an organization in order to obtain corporate level
strategic success by their global team and globalized management structure. From the
assignment 1, I have developed my knowledge that global firms and global teams facing
complexities to meet the standard of customer-oriented business performance. This process
will be useful for me to develop the global team. It is assessed that there is no single model
that can fit at the efficient level in order to manage the global team (Glendon, Clarke, and
McKenna, 2016). Thus, I have observed that tailoring the operation to the local area is
extensively complex and the resulting difficulty in the attainment of potential growth scale
and also difficulties in completing aim and objectives. From the literature review, I have also
enhanced my learning that team management is prime challenges for managers. In this way, it
is assessed that strategies, objectives, and operations vary in different areas as company face
concerned to deal with the business (Blaikie, et. al., 2014).

From the assignment 1, I have also generated my knowledge about potential factor regarding
risk mitigation in global team management. In this way, it is identified that cross culture
conflict should be transformed into collaboration in order to mitigate the risk (Bromiley, et.
al., 2015). I have also pointed out that having globalized team structure lead to the growth of
conflicting concern at the high extent and could be tough for managers and supervisors to
resolves the queries. Through the literature review, it is observed that there is the certain
mode of resolving the conflicts such as video conferencing, telephonic conversation, and
emails (Arbuckle Jr, Morton, and Hobbs, 2015).
2. Explain how this learning process will be useful to you
This course was beneficial for me to understand different challenges faced by global team
management because of real-time performance shortfalls, the unidentified and unclarified
team budget and development of wrong function and team roles and responsibilities. I will
apply new knowledge in future in terms of identifying the risk in the global team. I have also
developed my knowledge regarding certain identified risk. These are lack of user support,
and lack of team member understanding and expertise in terms of application and tasks
(Verner, et. al., 2014). I will also apply this new knowledge to work with the global team
member. This business research program was also effective for me to develop my knowledge
regarding the impact of managerial competencies in the management of the global team. In
this way, I have developed my comprehension that in the global firms, the average
management level remains at the slow performance growth rate. It is evaluated the key cause
of supervision is to remain far behind the demanded performance productivity criteria
(Giannakis, and Papadopoulos, 2016). I have also learned that early training session is
required for managerial leadership, as it may lead to success in a global firm. I have also
increased my learning that manager should emphasize on motivating the team members in
order to describe the differences at the working premises. This new knowledge will be

applied by me in order to resolve the conflicts and develop the connection between diverse
behavior.
3. Describe objectively what happened in the learning process
I practiced many textbooks, academic journal, and articles, and books to enhance the
understanding about the impact of social networks in the business development. From the
literature review, I understood that hoe global firm might be faced challenges at the time of
dealing with the team. Consequently, I would be capable of practicing this learning in the
company as I can be capable to improve my professional career (Hopkin, 2017). I also
enchased my understanding about the challenges faced by the global organization. In this
way, it is also examined that there is requisite for the organization to gain their understanding
towards the issues that may be confronted by the confronted by the company to deal with the
team. As a result, I will be capable to execute such kinds of understanding in managing the
global issues (Durach, et al., 2015).
4. Evaluate what you learn
Thi business study was effective for me to conduct my research proficiency as it created
depth understanding about many processes for accomplishing the research study. Moreover, I
increased my understanding about research methodology and design. Though this, it is also
examined that research design demonstrates many approaches as it could be executed for the
attainment of research aim and objectives of the study (Weick and Sutcliffe, 2015). It could
also support to obtain the feasible information about research concern. Consequently, I am
capable to apply the strategy in the study.
5. Explain your learning process
I observed that I used many research activities in the investigation to complete the aim and
objectives of research concern in the targeted time frame. I learned that mixed research
design could support to obtain a reliable conclusion. As this research methodology consider

both qualitative and quantitative designing of the study. As a result, it makes competent to me
for getting a valid and reliable result in a systematic way. It is also observed that the
qualitative research methodology could be practiced for collecting the feasible data. The
qualitative information is collected by views, opinions, and thoughts of respondents towards
the current research concern (Nambisan, et al., 2017). I also observed that the quantitative
research methodology would be practiced for collecting statistical data. Through assignment
2, I enchased my understanding about the data collection techniques. Through this, I
developed my knowledge towards the data gathering technique. I gained my understanding
towards the primary and secondary data collection method as it could be used by the
researcher to accomplish the research aim and objectives. In such cases, it could be identified
that the primary data is collected via survey through a questionnaire in which the secondary
data is collected via many methods like a journal, books, academic sources, company
websites, online and offline sources (Beamish and Lupton, 2016).
The learning experience was imperative for me to imply such tools and methods in the
business practices. This research was important for gaining my understanding towards ethical
consideration. Consequently, now I am capable to meet effectively meet the aim and
objective of research aim and objectives in a methodological manner.
It is also examined that the researcher might keep the privacy of participants after the
completion of the study. Through research proposal, I developed my understanding about the
research limitation that could directly impact on the research outcome. In such way, I gained
my understanding towards the research limitation components that could be faced by the
researcher to complete the aim of research. These research limitations could sample size,
time, and cost. These limitations of study would be concentrated by me to perform further
research study. Through this learning, I gained my professional and personal skills
(Nambisan, et al., 2017).

6. Explain Plan how this learning you will apply
This research study also supports to increase my knowledge about research schedule to
conduct the research. Through this structure, I gained my understanding towards research
time plan that offers the structure for the attainment of each research activity. Moreover, it is
also evaluated that Gantt chart is used a graphical representation of time frame about
research. As a result, this study could be effective for the attainment of each research activity
in the specified time frame (Beamish and Lupton, 2016). This learning could also be
effective in gaining my understanding with respect to the challenges of the global firm at the
time dealing with team global level.
Conclusion
From the above discussion, it can be concluded that I have developed my knowledge
regarding challenges that global firm might face in terms of managing the global team. The
assignment 2 was beneficial for me to understand the factor responsible for causing the
challenges in regards to global team management. It was also effective for me to understand
the potential factor regarding risk mitigation in global team management. It can be
summarised that assignment 2 was also significant to comprehend the impact of managerial
competencies in the management of global team i.e. managerial skills and practices at JB Hi-
Fi. It can be concluded that I have developed my knowledge about both qualitative and
quantitative research design from the assignment 3.
