TASK 1
Individual Presentation Paper
TASK 2
REFLECTIVE JOURNAL
This reflective journal discusses about the experience that I have had during completion
of the individual presentation paper. This presentation paper was based on leadership and role of
leadership in overall success of the organisation. Followed by this the presentation paper also
involved discussion regarding leadership of Warren Buffett (Sekarwinahyu and et.al., 2018).
Completion of this presentation paper helped me in increasing and gaining knowledge and
developing knowledge regarding several skills. These skills involve skills that are required for
completion of presentation paper and skills that contributing in developing leadership in
individual. There are some of the models that can be utilised while writing reflection these
models are Kolb’s reflective cycle and Gibbs reflective cycle. Here Gibb’s reflective cycle is
being involved for this reflection and this model of writing reflection include 6 stages of
reflection and experience individual have had. Stages involve in this model are description,
feeling, evaluation, analysis, conclusion and action plan. Discussion over these stages is as
follows-
Description
This reflection is concerned with my experience during completion of the individual
presentation paper based on leadership. Leadership is an important skills and ability of individual
and everyone of aware of that but what make a leader effective and leadership successful
depends on several aspects. Other than this major task was completion of presentation paper and
completion of this presentation paper made me aware about several skills and qualities that are
required for completing the presentation paper. Skills that is required for completing the
presentation paper involves communication skills (mainly written communication skills).
Communication skills involves skill to ensure effective communication in which through which
all the parties and individual involved in communication are on the same page and have same

understanding (Tawanwongsri and Phenwan, 2019). Written communication skill involves
writing precisely and ensuring that message can be effectively communicated in written form.
Other than this skills required for completing presentation paper involves research skills, use of
information and communication technology, problem-solving skill, time and self management.
These are some of the skills that are required for completing presentation paper and different
skills help in completing different areas of the work related to presentation paper. Completion of
presentation paper involves several tasks such as determining what need to be included in
presentation, selection of leader for discussing leadership style in presentation. research about the
content to be included in the presentation paper. Designing and developing structure and
completing presentation paper. In these regardless of having and not particular skills I completed
my presentation paper on time and with completing all the requirements.
Feelings
Completion of presentation paper involved several feeling on different times. These
feelings sometimes were positive and sometimes negative. However mainly feelings were related
difficulties that I experienced because of not having any particular skills and knowledge about
something. Positive feelings and experiences involved during completion of the presentation
paper were associated with successfully achieving and completing particular activity in
presentation paper. However I made fair and enough efforts to complete the presentation and
sometimes also took assistance from others such as peers, seniors in order to understand if I was
not able to understand certain thing. My feelings while completing the paper also involved that
there are several skills of leadership that I do not have and some opinion regarding leadership
that I was having been also different while made research regarding them (Emery and Chang,
2017). Overall the experience and feelings associated with completing the presentation paper
were positive and I completed presentation paper on time considering all the requirements of the
presentation paper. Along with this I also realised that I need to undertake serious efforts in order
to develop skills and capabilities that I am lacking. This will help me in completing same
situation with more efficiency and effectiveness. The feelings of not knowing something and not
having adequate knowledge and skills also affected my beliefs regarding individual efficiency
and capabilities. Overall I believe that presentation paper was a learning opportunity rather than
just completion of a task, as I learned so many new things regarding different aspects.

Evaluation
Evaluation of the experience and feelings suggests that there was nothing that can be
considered as bad because it became an important learning opportunity for me. This helped in
analysing my strengths and weaknesses and what are the skills that I am lacking. After
evaluation I realised that the skill that I am lacking needs to be learned and developed in order to
ensure I do not experience same difficulties in future. Completion of task became helpful in
identifying areas for personal development as well as professional development. Learning and
developing areas for personal development will help in academic and individual success and will
also be helpful in developing skills and knowledge for professional development (Hindrasti,
2020). Professional development involves development that involves learning and developing
skills that enable individual to succeed in professional context. Skills that I lack in completing
effective presentation are not limited to completion of presentation paper they are also required
for success in professional areas. Leadership skills enable individual to become effective leader
and regardless of a job leadership skills can enhance professional appeal of the individual.
Evaluation of the experience helped me in knowing that my time management are good and
other than this I also possess basic knowledge of information and communication technology and
along with this I also have effective communication skills and ability to write effectively. This
also contributed in writing presentation effectively that is concise and involve important
information.
Analysis
Presentation paper completed on time and reason for this even when I lack some of the
skills was that I had few skills and along with this I also know some of the people from whom I
can ask for help. However regarding completion of the presentation paper I also had some of the
skills which are most important for completing presentation paper on time. This skill is time
management and along with this written communication skills. However this skill that I lack was
research skills and problem solving skills (Sharp, 2018). Other than this teamwork is also one of
the weakness that affected my efficiency in completion of presentation paper. This means that I
experienced difficulty in identifying material that is relevant to the presentation paper and
regarding Warren Buffett. This is because research needs to be carried out from credible sources
and while making research online there are several sources that are not credible and this is why

one requires possessing sound knowledge of research technique and sources. Concerned with
team work and effectiveness in this I experienced that in one of the instance when a team
discussion was going on and everyone was providing their input even after having knowledge I
could not participate because of low confidence. Confidence is also important for becoming a
effective and successful leader. Problem-solving skills also need to improve because problems
that are complex and something that I have not earlier experienced make me anxious and this
affect my skill and capability for solving the problem.
Conclusion
From the experience that I had during completion of the presentation paper I realised that
there are several skills that I lack and I should work on developing these skills and improving
knowledge for overall personal and professional development. I believe that effective research
skill have allowed me to get some better content for the presentation and problem solving skills
improves my performance and experience while I experience problems and difficult situations.
Team working skills are also important to effectively participate in group (Markkanen and et.al.,
2020). Other than what I experienced while completing presentation paper I realised that I should
also improve my leadership skills for becoming a successful leader, this means that skills such as
Empathy, People Skills, decisiveness, ability to mentor and teach others, these are some of the
important skills for successful leaders. I realised that to become successful leader in future I
should start working on improving these skills.
Action plan
Reflection and recording the experience that I had during completing presentation paper
is only successful when identified I am able to and willing to learn and develop skills and
capabilities that I lack (van Lierop and et.al., 2018). Developing and acquiring skills can be
effective and more successful with help of action plan that include skills to be developed,
purpose for developing skills and how they can be developed.
