Reflective practice is the ability to reflect on one's actions so as to engage in a
process of continuous learning (Stein & Grant, 2014). In this essay, I will provide a brief
reflection on the learning I have acquired from the courses I have taken. I will evaluate
the positive and negative experiences which impacts on my practice of learning.
Further, the strategies I developed so that the negative situations can be eliminate
effectively and efficiently.
I have begun my learning from the course work presented to me. The project was
meant to be done in group. So I have formulated my group accordingly. In beginning, I
have faced many difficulties while coordinating with team. There were many issues
which diminishes the performance and leads to conflicts. After, establishing bonding
with other team members, I have increased and improved my performance efficiently
(Asselin & Fain, 2013). In order to improve my bonding with team members, I have
made communication with them and started interacting them. With the help of ABCD
model I have acquired information about their attitude, beliefs, context and decision
making process. With the help of this I was able to accomplish my set goals and
determined targets effectively and efficiently. Thus, it implies that with the help of
effective team work, I was able to achieve my objectives timely.
The positive experience I have faced was working in team in order to accomplish
the set goals and targets. This leads to increase in team bonding and friendship and
also increases the interpersonal skills in me. Another positive experience I acquired was
increase in the level of my knowledge and learnings with effective learning practices
and experiences. It is very important form me to have positive experience as it leads to
effective growth and development. Further, I have improved level of my education and
knowledge level by working in group. Thus, it implies that team work is very essential in
order to accomplish any project or presentations.
The negative experiences include casual disputes in teams while conducting the
project activities. The members were not coordinating with each other at the beginning,
which leads to wastage of time and inefficiencies in completing the project. Further, the
academic skills in me was not efficient enough to cope up with the learning experiences.
I faced difficulties and issues while having the lessons. Moreover, the group members

were not cooperating with me in the beginning thus, lead to the negative experience
faced by me while having learning experience.
In order to eliminate the negative issues, I have developed specific strategies
and implemented it while conducting group presentations. With the help of
communication strategies, I have effectively communicated with the group members so
that barriers of communication can be eradicated (Reflection Skills, 2017). Further, with
the help of team work strategies, I have developed team spirit in the group so that
casual disputes can be obliterated. These strategies help in reducing the conflicts and
chaos in the group and also provide a precise path on which I accomplished my
objective effectively. These strategies lead to potential growth and development in my
learning experiences (Tsai & Lau, 2013). With the help of learning experience, I have
improved in various fields effectively and efficiently. Thus, I have increased my level of
learnings and knowledge effectively. With the help of strategies I have overcome the
difficulties and issues I have faced and also improve my skills, knowledge and
competencies.
I have learnt various ways to promote appropriate behaviour and also started
respecting others. This presentation provides me with precise learning experience that
not only aid in appropriate growth and development of behaviour, but also improved my
abilities. Thus, I have developed effective behavioural skills in me that guide me in right
direction towards future success. From unit, I can easily summarise flexibility and
adaptability in my learning experience (Leonhardt & et.al.,2016). Thus, it implies that the
education and training assist me in proper growth and development and also set a
benchmark for my future success as a teacher. Now I can summarise the knowledge
effectively and adapt in the group effectively and efficiently.
Thus, from the following self reflection, I have provided brief information
regarding my learning experience effectively and efficiently. Further, I have discussed
all the positive and negative impacts I have faced while working in group. This
presentation helps me in improving the learning experience and also provide an idea
how to work effectively in group.
