INTRODUCTION
Reflective learning can be described as a form of eduction that enables students to reflect
upon experience of learning (Abera Yilma and et.al., 2020). It emphasizes on derives of learning
from experience of a learner. It facilitates an approach of enhancing knowledge of a person in
context to capabilities and weaknesses which a person pertains (Charteris and Smardon, 2018).
This report covers assessment of strengths as well as weaknesses of a person for addressing my
learning needs. Further, plan is provided for ensuring self improvement. Lastly, my ability for
organizing such plan is evaluated.
MAIN BODY
Assessing my strengths and weaknesses for addressing needs of learning:
I am a student at a University and at the time of learning I analysed few of my strengths
and weak points. Assessment of strengths and weaknesses enables a person to evaluate
capabilities pertained by them (Staikopoulos and Conlan, 2018). Hence, following is the analysis
of my core strengths and weaknesses in context to learning needs:
Strengths:
Observational skills: While considering my strengths it is noted that my
observational skill is good enough. It allows me to listen and remember key aspects
of learning and ensures capability of improving my grade.
Active listening: It is known that active listening promotes mindful thinking. I
consider active listening as my strength because it helps me in understanding
important topics of course and facilitates my understanding on topics which are
explained by professors.
Weaknesses:
Communication skill: It is one of the crucial weaknesses which I am required to work
on. It restricts me in relevance or expressing my learning and knowledge to other people.
It comes up as a reason for awkwardness in a classroom and pertains negative impact on
my learnings.
Time management: Another important weak point that I pertain is lack of time
management. I am not able to manage my time properly which leads to late completion
of assignments and other tasks delegated to me.

Providing suggestions for self-improvement:
For the purpose of maintaining my strength related to active listening and observation I
am required to attend classes regularly and not be distracted from studies due to peer
pressure. Apart form it, I should resolve any queries which emerges in the course of
learning with profession in minimum time period, so that my learning is not hindered.
Another point which I should focus on is resolution of problems related to
communication. I should participate more in presentations for purpose.
Lastly, time management schedule is required to be made for resolving my weakness for
time management.
Ability of organizing and structuring plan:
Personality development plan is required to be prepared by me for ensuring that adequate
steps are taken for self-improvement.
Time management plan is another important technique that I am going to adopt. Here, I
will write down important tasks that is to be performed along with decided timeline in
which it should be completed.
I will join workshops for development of my communication skills. Here, I will get
adequate platform for gaining knowledge about approaches and practice to eliminate
nervousness.
CONCLUSION
Above report concludes that reflective learning is an efficient approach for students that
facilitates identification of one's strength and learning. Effective observation and active listening
are my skills, while time management and communication comes up as my weaknesses.
