INTRODUCTION
Reflection is very important task to a learner in market place, because it gives
opportunity to a learner for learning many new things with the support of past activities.
Basically, reflection is very important way for developing own skills, abilities and knowledge.
Currently many learners from across the world conducts the task to reflection for reflecting on
their past or experiences for the new learnings. An effective reflection has been included below
which has based on the learning which the learner has gained by completing a presentation on
the topic of ‘introduction to business environment’. The learner was chosen Samsung company
for preparing its presentation.
MAIN BODY
Reflection
Currently there are many productive models of reflection simply available in market
place which I can use for reflecting on the process of presentation preparation, like; Kolb’s
reflective model, Gibb’s model of reflection, in which I have used Gibbs model of reflection
below for the purpose of reflection.
Gibbs Reflective Model
It is a very innovative model of reflection that is used by many people in across the world
for the purpose of reflection, that is why I also have chosen this model (Kim and et.al., 2017).
This model was first introduced by Graham Gibbs in 1988 which discusses six key stages of
reflection, called; Description, Evaluation, Analysis, Feelings, Action plan and Conclusion, in
which these all six stages has been used below for the reflection.
Description
Recently I have prepared a presentation on the topic of “introduction to the business
environment”, and after completing this presentation, I have learnt many new things with the
support of content of this presentation work. I have used different resources for collecting
various appropriate data and information for preparing an excellent presentation on the selected

topic. Basically, I was chosen Samsung as the organisation for my presentation work, so I visited
the official website of this company as well. During preparing this presentation, I have learnt that
proper skills of research are highly required for collecting relevant data to chosen topic. This
work has been enabled me for knowing different of business environment of a company. With
the support of this presentation work, I was enabled to know that, there are generally many exists
within business environment of a company which can affect that company’s business operations
in both ways, positively and negatively.
Feelings
After preparing this group presentation, I felt that there are proper skills of
communication also very necessary in order to effectively work in a group presentation. I felt
that, we should focus on developing own various skills and abilities while working a group work,
because skills enables to all group members for giving their 100% input in different tasks of
group work. For example; teamwork, communication, conflict management, problems solving
and presentation skills are highly required for working in group work which is preparing the
presentation on a topic. I felt that, teamwork skills work very positively to all members of my
group, and with the support of this skill, me and colleagues was enabled to give an extra-ordinary
presentation on the Samsung’s business environment.
Evaluation
I have many new things with the support of recent group presentation on the topic of
business environment. After covering this topic in presentation, I was be able to not that,
currently Samsung is a highly reputed brand in the international smart phone industry, and this
South Korean company regularly increasing its market share in respective industry (Cho, and
Lee, Samsung Electronics Co Ltd, 2019). In this modern world, customers are very satisfied with
different products and services of this company.
Analysis
I have learnt about management skills of Samsung’s upper management as well which is
currently giving me an effective way of development. This group presentation has helped me and

colleagues for developing own skills of presentation, and now I have well-developed
presentation skills.
Conclusion
It can be concluded that currently there are many effective models available in market
place which a company like Samsung can use for knowing factors that can affect its business
environment in both ways, positively and negatively. I have learnt that PESTLE analysis model
is the most appropriate one.
Action plan
Recent group presentation has helped me in improving various skills and abilities, but I
still need to develop some of mine skills which are not effective (Hyunseok and et.al., 2020). For
example; I don’t have proper time management skills, so I should make an effective action plan
for developing these skills.
CONCLUSION
It can be concluded that, Gibbs model of reflection has played an excellent for reflecting
on the recent group presentation work. This model can be used for next reflection tasks as well.
