The purpose of this reflection report is to detail my personal opinion on the concepts and
modules studied in the course. The three modules studied in the course are nature, role of
organization and challenges faced by the organization. Second part of the first module explains
about the topics motivation, influence, power and politics. Second module evaluates the facts
about communication, conflict and negotiation in the environment. Learning about these
resources helped me in getting better understanding about the organization and its business
activities. It helped me in becoming a better personal and profession course of life (Burns, and
Dewhurst 2016).
The nature of organization explains the different types of organization prevailing in the business
environment. In fact there are several types of organization present in the environment on the
basis of their division, delegation of authority, size etc. All these factors form a part of nature of
organization. Therefore, I believe that it is important for the manager to analyse the nature of the
organization before taking any crucial decision for the business. Further, I also believe that the
management of the organization plays the lead role in taking a decision for an organization
(Hatten 2015).
They are the major people who conduct the business activities in the environment by aligning the
interest of top level management with subordinates and satisfying the employees as well. In my
perspective, the management is responsible for the growth and failure of the organization as they
conduct major crucial activities on behalf of the business. Thirdly, believe that challenges are a
part of the life of a business and a business also require challenges to get access to opportunities
in the environment and grow. Therefore, the challenges are obstacles for business that helps them
to increase its productivity if they overcome it (Uhl, and Gollenia 2019).
Further, motivation helps the organization in increasing the productivity of the organization by
uplifting the interest of the employees in the business environment. Motivation is what keeps
people going and growing in the business environment. It is the duty of the leader or manager to
motivate and influence the people to work for the growth of the company. In this way, the
productivity of the business rises. Power and politics are two important factors due to which
conflicts arise in the business environment. Delegation of power makes it difficult to coordinate
with the employees in the business environment and centralization makes it difficult to make the
employees work without sharing responsibility. Politics in the workplace environment affects the

interest level of employees. Just like motivation, communication also helps in easy flow of work
in the internal environment. A leader having good negotiating and communicating skills in
environment can increase the satisfaction level of employees (Myers 2019).
These topics are important for me because they help me in understanding different concepts
about the business and its practice as well. By studying these concepts, I got to know several
facts about the business and ways in which the management can eliminate the conflicts arising in
the business. Talking about relevancy of the topics, I believe that the concepts like motivation
and communication form a part of not only professional environment but in personal life also
these concepts helps in taking a fine decision. These concepts help in getting better
understanding about the activities of business environment. As such I do not hold any specific
past experience in this area that can be counted.
However I have encountered several seminars and workshops to get experience about the
concepts. The business management is a vast and diversified concept that cannot be learnt or
experienced easily as it involves several concepts and practices. So far, I’ve learnt several new
concepts in relation to the business management that will surely help me in my future course of
action. Further, I believe that understanding of these concepts will help me to efficiently resolve
the problems occurring in my workplace environment in future. This learning will also simplify
the learnings of the remainder of the course as well. It will help in correlating several concepts
and practically applying them in life as well (Cokins 2017). Thus, by concluding the above
mentioned facts, it should be noted that the paper highlighted details about the business
management concepts and my reflection on the understanding of these concepts in the module.
