Reflecting on development in terms of theory and team work
The given coursework helped me to increase my knowledge largely. With the help of the
given project, I was given an opportunity to work on real-life marketing problems and apply my
theoretical knowledge and skills in a given structured format. The course given related to the
discipline area of marketing. The students were asked to work along with clients to identify the
various business issues, which were in form of the marketing problem (Farrell 2013). The
students were required to conduct primary analysis as well as secondary research. Furthermore,
we were also required to analyse the data and apply theoretical framework in order to provide
solution of the various marketing problems that we had identified earlier.
This given assignment was extremely helpful in helping us to build theoretical and
practical knowledge with respect to advanced management, planning and organizational skills.
The given report also added up to my research skills and taught me that research forms an
integral part of any study and that it is extremely important to research information from viable
sources. It also taught us time management and theory application (Hollensen 2015). The report
required submission within a specified deadline, which taught us how to work within a certain
time limit and utilise our management skills to solve issues within a particular period. In the
corporate world, time is money and therefore, this project gave us a peek into our real life. The
coursework give us knowledge about a high-level of critical, cultural and interpersonal literacy’s
with the help of the interaction that we were required to undertake with clients.
The second assignment, which was given to us, was based on multimodal learning
techniques. In the assignment, we were required to make use of effective communication tools
like Information technology, networks and the internet (Cowan 2014, p. 53-64). This exposure

contributed to learning and development.
