INTRODUCTION
Personal development planning is the essential concept in terms of professional and personal
skill development considering the goal setting and practices considering the overall achievement.
It includes several steps for the effective identification, value creation and awareness by which
an individual can make suitable personal development plan which is being concerned to their
career objectives (Cheng and et. al., 2018). For this, the job role of business management
undertakes several tasks and duties because of which individual need to possess all the important
professional skills. The report leads to cover details about the personal development plan which
is develop with the help of reflective identification of personal and professional skills.
Personal Development Plan
It is useful in terms of designing and achieving the personal and professional goals that helps in
developing and considering the significant personal and professional skills. It leads to put
emphasis on the development of suitable skills and also reach to the professional goals
(Elhussain and Khoja, 2020). For instance, to become a business manager, individuals need to
work on the management skills and also develop the suitable experience by which they can
achieve their own goals and objectives. PDP is classified into three steps like goal identification,
analysis of learning area and validation of PDP design. It also includes reviewing for the skills
development and overall achievement by six months, every year and so on.
PART 1
Personal Analysis
I am very dedicated towards building my professional career to become a successful person in
future. I am pursuing my studies in the field of Business management and currently working part
time as an assistant business manager. To accomplish a perfect balance between professional and
personal life it is important to develop some management skills like time management, wellbeing
and communication skills. My communication skills are good but I lack time management skill. I
am also good in managing positive well-being. My internal strength has always encouraged me
to manage different tasks that's why I became an assistant business manager where I have to
assign roles and responsibilities to the people. The required skills for an assistant business
manager are effective communication and team management. My projects, training and

management experiences during my business management studies have helped me in developing
my skills and passion for management. My qualities of well-being and communication skills
have helped me in running my current work as an assistant business manager smoothly. These
qualities are my strength which I have achieved from my previous course. These qualities of
mine have helped me in managing my career effectively. Because of my good communication
skills, I am effectively leading my team and my well-being skills have helped me in managing a
positive and effective environment at my work place. In my previous academic year, I had
various opportunities and threats which have helped me in developing my skills but also made
me aware about my weaknesses (Aburn, Hoare and Gott, 2018). Opportunities such as industrial
exposer, group project, group leading and presentation tasks have helped me in developing and
analysing my skills and weaknesses. For personal and professional development all these factors
were a great opportunity. During my academic year projects, I evaluated that my communication
and team management skills were good but I need improvement in time management skills along
with well-being as my performance was not good at that time. I was taking a lot of time in doing
a task although the results were good. Therefore, there is a need to improve time management
skills along with well-being.
PART 2
Setting Goals
It is the most essential tool of PDP that helps in the analysis and develop of goals as it is useful
in incorporating the suitable criteria to make effective goal develop that can possess the higher
chances of the achievement.
Specific: The PDP should be clear, narrow and specific. This step undertakes the proper
involvement of effective identification and development of goals considering the relevant
objective and rationales (Shawa, 2020).
Measurable: The goals and objectives should be developed considering the enhancement factor
and also need to be measurable so, that it is easy to identify the overall progress.
Attainable: It is important to develop suitable goals and objectives with proper identification and
analysis of action plan as it have to be clear that there is something enough actions that are useful
for the achievement of goals.

both professional and personal life. I have analysed that I need to work on some of my personal
skill development. Some of the skills are discussed as:
Self-confidence: I want to work for the development of my self-confidence by
considering the suitable efforts for pushing myself to take effective responsibility and
make the proper use of supportive skills to perform things more confident (Caesar and et.
al., 2020). I want to achieve this within 3 months.
Attractiveness: Considering both personal and professional life attractiveness is the
effective quality that helps to get success in life. For this, I want to work on this skill to
become more attractive and confident for my things. This can be achieving by taking
professional development classes by working and considering the physical appearance
and presentation skills.
Personal management skills: As a professional worker or student, I need to work on my
management skills such as time management and flexibility by which I can balance my
professional and personal skills considering the multiple task.

period for the achievement of goals. Presently, I am evaluating the progress by identifying my
academic and job role success. I also got the opportunity of getting senior manager within the
reputed company.

professional life, self-analysis is important. Individuals have to continuously work on their
