Introduction
The assignment is reflecting the impact of communication on my professional life and my
business environment. The assignment is included with some concepts related to
communication that will help in enhancing my communication and interpersonal skills and
will promote my professional growth. The assignment consists all the factors that I learnt in
my academic career. With the help of this assignment, I will be able to analyse my
knowledge regarding communication. "The assignment provides an overview to my
academic period and will help in analysing different concepts related to communication
and its impacts in the business environment". The assignment will help me in accessing
different concepts of communication like verbal and non-verbal communication, intercultural
communication, communication apprehension and so forth. The insight of the assignment
will assist me in promoting the growth of my career.

Section One
Week 1
In the first week, the concept that I learnt and thought will be useful for my career is Ethical
Communication. Ethical communication is a process in which the company tries to
communicate all the necessary information to its stakeholder in the most honest and
integrated manner. I believe that this concept will help in my future as I will be able to
enhance my communication skills and will likewise be able to increase the level of my
goodwill by adopting the ethical ways of communication (Parveen, Jaafar & Ainin, 2015).
Week 2
In week 2 of my communication course, I grasped knowledge regarding verbal and non-
verbal communication. Both of these types of communication are essential for the growth of
the organisation. Both of these have their importance and are used in the organisations
depending upon the circumstances (Karanges et. al., 2015). I think with the help of this
knowledge I will be able to become a great representative in my future as I will be able to
present my thoughts effectively and accurately.
Week 3
In Week 3 I was able to enhance my scope of knowledge regarding Business Writing.
Business writing is a factor associated with business communication that facilitates decision
making in the organisation. This knowledge will be fruitful for me as it will help in
nourishing my planning and decision-making skills and will help me in becoming a
successful entrepreneur.
Week 4
The week 4 was related to Academic Writing Skills. In this week I grasped knowledge
regarding some factors that can help me in improving my academic writing skills. I was able
to analyse the factors such as academic misconduct, plagiarism, selection of sentences and so
forth. This topic will not only help me in my academic life but will also be proving fruitful
for my professional period. By achieving expertise in writing skills, I will be able to frame

reports and conduct analysis that will assist me in the decision-making process (Parveen,
Jaafar & Ainin, 2015).
Week 5
Week 5 was related to the concept of Literature review. Literature review refers to the
activity of analysing different source or articles of the writers and utilising the knowledge for
framing own reports and project. This activity helps the individuals in the research project as
with the help of this activity the researchers become able to analyse the topic in more detail. I
think with the help of this knowledge I can become great researchers and can evaluate the
market for framing decisions for my organisation.
Week 6
In week 6 I was able to clear my doubts regarding Communication Apprehension. It refers
to the level of anxiety among individuals while interacting or communicating with others.
With the help of this knowledge, I was able to enhance the level of my self-confidence which
will help me in communicating or interacting with others. This knowledge will help in
boosting my interpersonal and presentation skills.
Week 7
Week 7 was related to the concept of Intercultural Communication. It is a process in which
individuals from distinctive background and culture try to communicate and interact with
each other. This process of communication helps in grasping knowledge and information
regarding different cultures. This knowledge will help in enhancing my interaction skills and
will likewise help in enhancing the level of my knowledge regarding different cultures. I will
be able to become a great representative with the help of such knowledge.
Week 8
In this week I grasped knowledge regarding internal and external forms of
communication. The organisation is associated with some internal and external stakeholders.
Effectively communicating with them proves fruitful of the growth of the organisation.
Information regarding both of these concepts will help in enhancing my interacting and
communicating skills that I can flourish in my professional world for negotiating my
potential stakeholders.

Week 9
In this week I was able to learn about the significances of Teamwork. An organisation grows
with the group efforts of some individuals and hence it is extremely important to boost the
feeling of teamwork and team spirit in the organisation (Parveen, Jaafar & Ainin, 2015). I
believe that this knowledge will help me in becoming a good leader and will be able to
maintain an effective business environment in my organisation.
Week 10
In this week the concept that fascinates me the most was Verbal communication or verbal
aggression. The information regarding this topic will help in enhancing the scope of my
communication skills, and I will be able to eliminate all the hindrances related to
communication. I can enhance the level of job satisfaction among myself and my
subordinates by achieving excellence in this direction (Men, 2014).

Literature review
As per the consent of Kovalanein & Katja, 2012, it is very important for the growth of the
organisation to involve in the process of Intercultural communication. In this era of
globalisation, every business is extending its boundaries to the international market. For
growing in the global world, it is essential for the organisation to acquire knowledge
regarding different cultures and diversities. This will help in analysing the inclination of the
consumers and will likewise help in enhancing the scope of the organisation in the
international market. Intercultural communication will help in identifying the desires of the
consumers belonging from different cultures and will help in accelerating the growth of
business in the international market (Kovalanein & Katja, 2012). For communicating with
individuals of different cultures, it is very essential to recruit employees from the foreign
market. Employees belonging to different cultures will help the organisation to promote the
level of intercultural communication which will eventually boost the growth of the
organisation (Samovar et. al., 2015).

Section Three
Application of knowledge for future growth
With the help of my academic knowledge, I was able to discover regarding some concepts
related to communication. These concepts will help in fulfilling my future aspirations and
will likewise assist in building my skills and expertise. Two of the fascinating concepts that
will promote my future growth are as follows:
Communication Apprehension
Communication apprehension refers to the level of anxiety a person has while interacting or
communicating with others. With the help of knowledge regarding this term, I will be able to
eliminate my anxiety and will be able to build the level of self-confidence in myself
(Kovalanein & Katja 2012). Better communication skills and confidence in me will help in
fulfilling my future objectives and will likewise help me in enhancing my managing and
leadership skills.
Verbal and non-verbal communication
Verbal and non-verbal communications are one of the essential communicating tools that
help in revolving the information inside and outside the organisation. This process will help
in formulating the decision of the organisation and will likewise help in the planning process.
Transfer of information in the organisation will help the leader of the organisation in
managing its operations and will also assist in promoting the growth of the organisation
(Kehoe & Wright, 2013).

Conclusion
The assignment provides an insight into the knowledge that I acquire in my academic life.
The assignment is related to communication and its importance in the business environment.
Communication is the most important factor of management and will help in promoting the
growth of the organisation. With the help of the assignment, I was able to conjecture the
importance of communication in the organisation. With the help of the organisation I can take
part in some activities like planning, forecasting, research, transferring of information,
leadership and so forth. “The assignment assists in understanding regarding the impact
of communication in the organisation and will help in promoting the growth of an
individual”. The assignment consists all the factors that I learnt in my academic career. With
the help of this assignment, I will be able to analyse my knowledge regarding
communication. The assignment will help me in enhancing my proficiency and potential with
