INTRODUCTION
Reflective practice is the process or an ability to express the action of an own practise
from which another person can be able to understand and learn from the experience. It is an
effective process of learning and adopting the various kinds of knowledge and information which
can be very beneficial for an individual person (Lin and Fujimoto, 2021). The report will
demonstrate the reflective essay in which it includes the different tools for using the reflective
teaching and also perform the professional development plan which will help an individual to
improve their own learning and reflective practices.

TASK 2: Reflective Essay
2.1 Current Performance requirements to own practices.
Teaching is the period that an educator gives the information and knowledge to the leaner
and students. Being a teacher I founded that it is work of being very responsible and requires
staying positive so that I can be able to give the effective learning to the students. Being a
teacher I analysed that I need to provide the effective lesson and eduction to the students in
different ways from which they can be able to learn and adopt the learning appropriately. Even, I
identify that there are many areas which I need to cover from which I can be able to provide the
fruitful result or teaching to the students (Asratie, Aylet, and et.al., 2022). I observed that
students are not able to communicate with me properly and not able to give the feedbacks openly
from which they are affecting their own learning areas and getting a bad result at the time of
examination. Due to my improper interaction with the students make them to suffer from an
issue and not able to adopt the appropriate knowledge and information.
2.2 Different tools for use in reflecting teaching
For improvement of my teaching areas I utilized some tools which helps me to evaluate my
teaching to students. I had applied two ways to understand and recognize my teaching areas:
Index cards: Using the index card helps me to understand areas of improvement from which
students can be able to learn definitely. Index cards has been utilized me in such way where at
the end of the session or class I keep the number of blank cards on the desk from which all the
student can use them and handover to me before the session has completed. In the index cards I

always write one or two questions for the students according to the chapter and subject I make
them understand from which I can be able to understand the student's learning and attentiveness
in the class (Habibi, Razak and et.al., 2022).
Suggestion box: The suggestion box is very common and known tool which tells the student that
they can put their suggestion freely. I had put the suggestion box in the classroom so that an
individual student can raise their problem by writing the issue and can put them into the
suggestion box from which I will receive the feedbacks and reviews of the students which I can
be able to improve and can deliver the appropriate learning (Kalinowski, Gronostaj and et.al.,
2019).
Sticky Notes: The sticky notes also helps me to evaluate my performance by implementing this
strategy where I use these notes to be placed at the desk from which any of the student can come
and write their suggestion and points and can stick on the board so that I will collect that notes
later on and can observe and identify the needs of the students from me and can improve them
within a definite time area.
2.3 Importance of taking feedbacks
Taking the feedback is the most relevant and appropriate method to perform well in
teaching and educational areas. There are different sources from which a feedback can be
received by the people and can improve them within a time and can perform well. Feedback and
have a higher impact on the student learning and can be used as a great opportunity to set the
learning goals (Spreadborough and Glasser, 2022). There are many types of the feedbacks
sources Which I met and applied during the teaching sessions such as index cards, suggestion
box, sticky notes, KWL chart and such more. These all sources provide the feedbacks which can
be improved by me so that the student can be able to adopt the appropriate information and
knowledge and can increase my teaching effectiveness. This system is important for my reflexive
practice as it helps and increases the knowledge, skills, attitudes and behaviours of the
educational program. The feedback method or process enables me or an individual teacher to
perform well in the educational sector and provide the effective learning and knowledge to the
students. Taking the feedbacks from the different sources such as- From the students- This will help the teacher to make improvements in their teaching
styles. This feedback is very important for the teacher as this will enable them to use the
effective teaching styles which will be beneficial for the students.

 From the colleagues- Taking feedbacks from the colleagues is very necessary as there
may happen that the colleagues have experience as this will help the teachers to improve,
and they will be providing the ways as well which can be used by the teacher for the
better teaching process.
 From the administrative- The teacher when receives the positive feedbacks from the
administration helps them in boosting the confidence as well as the morale. This will help
them in working more effectively and efficiently.
Taking feedbacks from the different sources is very important and necessary for them as this will
help them in making the effective improvements as gathering the feedbacks from the students
will help the teachers to make the meaningful improvement ion their teaching styles. This is the
most effective method to evaluate the performance of the teacher as well as it enables the teacher
to know whether the students are able to understand and learn the effectively the topics by them.
2.4 Own practices in inclusive and promotes the diversity
At most of the time, I utilize the method of taking the feedbacks from the students by
interacting with them properly and making the frank nature and relation with the students from
which students feel comfortable to communicate with me and whenever I asked about the
feedbacks they are easily able to give the proper feedbacks from where I am able to enhance
them properly and can increase my teaching ability (Raviolo, 2019). In my teaching areas, I
always maintain the inclusiveness in the educational session and promotes the equality and
diversity to the children so that they also can learn and obtain the knowledge of equality. The
inclusive eduction means providing the educational lessons to the children and students by
treating them equally and giving equal opportunity to individual so that there will be no
discrimination takes place and from which a student can be able to learn and grow. The equality
and diversity are the two things where teacher and students both can maintained by themselves
properly from where no false activities will takes place and can provide the effectiveness.
I always treat the student equally and gives the equal opportunity and tries to maintain the
equality in diverse culture by giving them project sin a group so that students will engage to each
other and can understand and respect each other religion and beliefs and not perform the
discrimination at the place (Nascimbeni and Burgos, 2019). I also make a good connection with
the students and communicate them well to understand their culture and traditions which puts a
good impact on the students. A teacher always requires to encourage their students to grow and

move ahead and learn the different traditions and cultures and can respect them. Being a teacher
I always want to work at a place where I can deliver the knowledge of working in a diverse
culture and also can provide the equality among the students from which they can be able to
respect each other culture and religion effectively.

experience of many years as this will help them in making many improvements. The biggest

advantage of making improvements is the teachers will be able to learn new things and make
effective improvements.
CONCLUSION
The report has concluded the different responsibilities of a teacher where they are
required to adopt and implement the different types of strategies to deliver the effective
knowledge and learning to the students. It has included the reflective part of a teacher where it
has demonstrated the teaching requirements, different tools, different sources to evaluate the
effectiveness of being a teacher and a brief discussion of promoting the inclusive teaching. At
last, the report has performed a professional development plan where it has includes the areas of
improvement and its solutions to overcome within a definite timeline structure.
