Introduction
Reflective practice is the ability to reflect on one's actions so as to engage in a process of
continuous learning. It involves "paying critical attention to the practical values and theories
which inform everyday actions, by examining practice reflectively and reflexively. In this report,
affects of reflective practice in my roles and others roles in the educational context is discussed.
The case study will be analyzed by describing the theories, approaches and importance of
reflective practice in the personal development plan.
Task 1
Theories, models and approaches of reflective practice
The theory which is used in increasing their learning and develop their personality includes
reflection is the procedure of rationalized in this theory author describes that it is related with the
personal learning that is capability and ability of the person in learning as well as in increasing
their knowledge (Harvey et al., 2016). In this theory, the authors revealed that it is the deliberate
process through which I and other person think in a more critical manner and increase the
intellectual skills to think for learning. The theory also states that it is the active, persistent and
the belief of the individual to get the knowledge which can further develop individual and draw a
creative and innovative conclusion.
The theory and approach which individual should adopt to develop in a professional manner that
is the theory of reflection and professional development. In this theory, individuals use their
known understanding, skills to enhance their learning in the educational context and support the
individual to increase their expertise knowledge so that they can deal with the changing
environment (Meierdirk, 2016). In this, I and others should continuously develop the different
scenarios and allow the individual to use the knowledge in more instinctively as well as
appropriate manner. These are the theories through which individuals can develop various skills
such as intellectual and communication skills, this supports me in developing in a professional
manner.

There are other different approaches and theories of reflective practice that can allow me to be in
the cycle of increasing learning in the educational context that is Experiential learning cycle
theory. In this theory and model individual can see their capabilities and learning ability and
develop the framework of learning this helps me in maintaining the level of competence and
knowledge which individual is having (De Leo & Forester, 2017). Therefore theory also
demonstrate that this theory can help me in understanding the parts which is become important in
the comprehensive learning and support me to remain balanced with skills, knowledge etc. To
develop individual and other can also use refection and emotion theory in which individual can
also consider emotion while increasing the learning in the educational context. It is because the
theory suggests that refection is considered the adequate and suitable manner of increase
learning. To grow and develop one and others can maintain the balance between the emotion and
learning so that individual can increase learning in the educational context.
Educational practitioners use reflective practice
The reflective practice is used by the educational practitioners it is because in this practitioners
examine and investigate the manner of describing the behavior to behave in the class. It helps in
providing efficient knowledge to the learners (Pretorius & Ford, 2016). Through this
practitioners can help the learners to gain more knowledge and skills to growth and development.
The educational practitioners also use this reflective practice to define the principles and
philosophies for defining the manner of performing the work and to teach the learners regarding
the subject matter. The educational practitioners used reflective practice is maintain self-
awareness and to give teaching in every movement, it also support in using the knowledge and
skills as well as to maintain self-awareness in the moment. The estimation believe that in UK
practitioners believe that reflective practice is more quieter as well as highly organized approach
which support in looking forward and it is used in UK mainly to maintain patience and to raise
the ability for observing in-depth about the experience of the lessons. The educational
practitioners also use this to give the individual and others information regarding the activity or
the procedure, that is in this the whole purpose of the information is discussed and practitioners
make decision by considering the planning and action regarding the particular subject matter.
The educational practitioners also adopt the approach of reflective learning by involving the
primary concern and to understand the techniques which should be used to increase and raise the

educational context (Orsino & Ng, 2019). Therefore, in UK educational practitioners maintain
the degree of autonomy as well as sense of control so that all the actions and activities are
exercised and proper education should be provided to the learners, in this educational practitioner
develop and maintain professional expertise and support the practitioners to learn and teach as
well as to move forward.
The educational practitioners also use this thinking to develop themselves and others for defining
the nature and scope of the topic, through this one can also define the important parts and
components of the subject matter which helps in providing appropriate understanding (Cushion,
2018). In UK educational practitioner use reflective practice to adopt the various procedure
which includes that in this educational practitioner observe and evaluate each learners and adopt
different sessions which includes pre-observation, post observation and allow them to get various
benefits such as get new insight in the teaching about the subject matter.
Reflective practice influences behaviour in educational contexts
Reflective practice influence the actions and behavior in the context of education it is because it
support the individual to increase the confidence and give me the increasing the manner to
increase the learning and knowledge (Farrell, 2017). The reflective practice also understand the
behavior so that they can identify the barriers and content about the context so that I can increase
the capability and ability of oneself and others for overcoming the obstacles as well as problems
which is difficult for the person to adapt and change. The reflective practice also affects my
behavior by allowing me in developing wider skills and knowledge so that individual can
understand the better manner of understanding the knowledge and education about the subject
matter. Reflective practice also increases the competitive ability and allows me in encouraging as
well as learning new challenges in the knowledge so that individual can develop the knowledge
of confident base. The development plans will be developed through the reflective practice it is
because in this efficient behavior of the individual is taken into consideration by assessing the
strengths and weakness of the individual and other persons in the educational context.
It is affected me and others in positive manner it is because through this individual can
understand the thoughts and inner feelings so that one and others can understand the learning
capacity and learning cycle so that self awareness and responsibility among the individual will be
increased (Kramer, 2018). In this one can understand the part in the cycle of learning in highly

MANAGEMENT 5
actively manner so that behavior of the individual and others will be developed and one can
become more aware about the different learning and thoughts about oneself and others.
Therefore the estimation demonstrates that there is difference between reflective practice and
individual in the educational context. It is because through this individual can increase the
behavior of innovation, encourage engagement as well as provide several benefits to the oneself
and others such as through this one can become more responsible, innovative as well as more
confident as well as allow the one to improve the learners about the learning. In UK reflective
practice in the educational areas support the individual to maintain partnership-working behavior
so that one can adopt own practice and understand the skills and knowledge to achieve the
desired outcomes and achievable results so that one can understand the ideas as well as opinions
about the particular area (Hoda & Noble, 2017).
Advantages and disadvantages of using reflective practice
There are several advantages and disadvantages of the reflective practice it is because through
this I can increase the learning through taking various experience and practical knowledge about
the subject matter. In this one can promote deep learning by using different experimental
examples and observation (Murphy & Ermeling, 2016). This is done because of defining the
strengths and weakness about the personal and professional development so that one and others
can make improvement and understand the needs and requirements of the education. Reflective
practice supports the individual to identify the behavior, attitudes, belief as well as values so that
one can further understand the core knowledge of the subject matter.
Through the self-assessment it s estimated that through the reflective practice individual can
encourage myself to remain self-motivated and take the direction of the self-directed learning so
that individual can investigate and examine my inner capabilities and knowledge (Alexander,
2017). Therefore reflective practice allows me in making the possible improvements in the
various educational areas. This is most important approach in which individual can examine the
educational needs and support the individual to acquire new knowledge skills and education. The
person can also react according to the situation so that better decision will be made and provide
efficient results.
There are some disadvantages of the reflective practice which includes that it is difficult for the
one to understand the procedure and approach of reflective practice. It is because understanding

MANAGEMENT 6
the inner strengths and abilities is complex as well as this leads and making the individual more
uncomfortable and challenging to evaluate the action and behavior which is to be used in the
particular situation (Hanson, 2018). Therefore, it is sometimes considered time consuming and
leads in confusion because of describing different behavior and attitudes in the specified
situation. It is demonstrate that reflective practice does not considered adequate and appropriate
for resolving the problems and issues related to the education context. It is because I feel
uncomfortable and difficult to examine the one own practice, strengths etc. In the education
context it is difficult because of difficulty in gathering the data and information as well as results
in increasing complexity to share it with the other persons. In the development plan it is
important to understand the limitations and disadvantages of reflective practice it is because the
person cannot use their knowledge without reflecting the inner knowledge.
Importance of leading the engagement of reflective practice
It is important of leading the engagement of reflective practice for improving the skills
knowledge as well as subject of the themselves and others because it support in meeting the
needs and requirement of the oneself and others and help the individual to understand the inner
abilities and capabilities (Foong et al., 2018). It is also demonstrate that through thinking as well
as reading the subject in more critical manner the intellectual and in-depth thinking abilities and
skills of the individual will be increased. Therefore, it also has other benefits which includes that
through this individual can understand the efficiency and effectiveness of oneself the reflective
practice can be analyzed by examining the strengths and capabilities of the individual.
In this one can investigate the development needs and engage one and others to focus on the
needs and factors which can satisfy them. This can also support the individual to read various
articles and other related reading material so that knowledge about the subject matter will be
increased (Stevenson et al., 2018). This improvement can help the individual to develop internal
capabilities and skills so that I can adopt the changing environment. The reflective practice is
considered the significant approach and aspect which is used in the whole lives at every point of
time because through this everyone can evaluate actions as well as strategy.
Reflective practice can engage me and others to understand the sense of control and thoughts so
that critical thinking will be done by describing the possible actions and thoughts. In this one can
also describe the critical situation and get the answers to deal with the difficult consequences so

that various educations regarding the different factors will be attained and one can deal with the
difficult situation and circumstances (Smith et al., 2018). In this reflective practice one can
identify the external environment this increase the observation and negotiation skills of
themselves and others it is because analyzing the changing demands of the environment and
relating it with the personal awareness, persuasion and motivation skills. Therefore, this can
increase the different skills such as communication, problem solving and leadership skills of the
individual and others. The person gets engaged by the reflective practice because it leads me and
other persons to build existing information and to become more open minded. The estimation
describes that in UK people increase the ability to recall so that through this the can remember
the important things and information as well as learn more experiences.
Task-2
Reflection on own practice
In my opinion I believe that I adopt “Reflection as well as Professional Development Model
“this is due to the reason that through reflection practice I could analyze the strength and
understand the sense of responsibility of mine, this could help me to develop in professional
manner. Through this I suggest myself to adopt the professional practice so that I understand the
knowledge and skills which I can use in the given situation. Therefore by adopting the new
practice and knowledge this can help me in increasing the efficiency of the work and provide me
the manner of performing the action (Legare & Armstrong, 2017). This can support me in
maintaining the association among both of them which includes that I use this model to reflect on
performing the action as well as allow me to think in-depth about the particular area.
This model support in building and to increase my learning through the past experiences it is
because by this I develop various scenario and situation which is considered difficult for me to
handle the things. Therefore, by this I understand the ability of finding the accurate skills and
learning which should be appropriate for the situation. Through this I extend all the interventions
and elements which are involved with the current situation and condition (Bruno &
Dell’Aversana, 2018). So, I can deal with the unexpected situations in highly rapid and
appropriate manner through developing different practice at particular point of time.

MANAGEMENT 8
I also adopt other practice by relating it with the “Experiential Learning Cycle Model” it is
because practice of reflecting our self come through adopting the framework of learning cycle
that is past experience and knowledge and help in understanding my strengths and ability to
respond in the particular situation. I can also use this model and practice due to defining the
preferences and opinions of themselves this helps me understanding the each part and component
of the learning cycle that is what is to be learned to developed in professional terms in this I can
adopt the concept of ‘abstract conceptualization’. This practice can overcome the difficult of
using same skills and abilities in all the areas and support me in maintaining the appropriate
abilities in the particular area (Hill, 2017).
It can provide the knowledge of developing the individual to manage strong preferences for the
every part and component of the framework so that no areas can be neglected and deskilled. For
me this practice is considered most suitable model it is because through this I can maintain the
competencies level so that every component of earning should be focused on and support me to
ensure that I can gain learning in highly comprehensive terms. I adopt the same framework
which is used in the model which includes focusing on the concrete experience, observation of
the practice through experience, making conclusion by the past experience and planning and
responding which is learned that is performing the action.
Reflection outcomes using action planning
Action planning is the approach and document which consider series of steps as well as
procedure because of achieving the objective. The major aim of the action plan is to make
clarification regarding the resources which should be used for attaining goals and describes the
overall timeline of completing each task (Vangen, 2017). Refection of practice accomplish
several outcomes which includes that it is considered time bound it is due to the reason that
individual use the in-depth information about the subject matter so that adequate skills should be
used to identify and distribute the time limit of each activity and area. It is also help to become
individual more realistic as well as practical regarding the specific situation and this increase the
capability to become more achievable. This is become relevant and become important for the
individual to achieve the goals and objective of the individual because of increasing high level of
relevancy. This is important for the individual to make the plans for performing actions and
describe the period in which the different parts should be performed that is time period and

MANAGEMENT 9
relevant should be maintain in the thinking and performing the activity, this support in increasing
the efficiency and effectiveness.
Reflecting of own practice leads supports the individual to maintain attainability it is because of
thinking in critical manner so that goal which is impossible to achieved should be accomplish in
more efficiently. This helps the individual to remain more motivated and productive to learn new
skills and knowledge (Qutoshi, 2018). The attainable part leads in describing the possibility and
probability of the knowledge to be used for developed in highly professional manner and support
the individual to achieve all the ambitious goals because of understanding the importance and
benefit of the new learning. Therefore this reflection of practice also provides the knowledge
about the gap that is further to be learned for focusing on the current and desired skills and
abilities. This also support the individual to achieve the other significant result such as to
increase the intellectual skills so that one and others can measure the thinking abilities by using
reflective practice it is because through this the goal and objective should be numbered in
appropriate manner.
The measurable outcomes allow the individual to number the learning skills and knowledge of
person so that delay cannot be done in the activities and no difficulty is received in finding the
skills which is to be learned in the education context for the particular subject matter (Kovacs &
Corrie, 2017). The last approach which is also achieved through the reflective of practice that is
specific outcomes in which the individual does not provide generic judgment in the educational
areas, it is become the individual increase the capability to become more broad. Through, this
individual become more objective and to remain more focused on evaluating the skills of
individual as well as support in providing detailed information about the arrival without doubt.
The investigation revealed that individual achieves several outcomes that are to become specific,
measurable, attainable, relevant as well as timely.
Reflective practice can change own perspectives
Reflective practice can change the attitudes, behaviors, approaches and perspective it s because
this I can involve in the procedure of critical thinking which help me to debrief my oneself
regarding the learning experience and gap which should be learn in future. Therefore, it is
considered the true learning this is due to the reason that through this I can involve in the deep
and core of the subject area which can support in understanding and gaining learning capacity to

raise the probability of the application as well as helps in transferring and sharing of the
knowledge as well as learning. This leads in increasing my behaviors and helps me in
understanding the approaches of the subject in the critical manner and allows me to select the
appropriate practice to reflect themselves in the different situation and for the different
knowledge of subject (Tikkamäki et al., 2016). There are several perceptions which estimated
that in UK majority of the person change their perspective towards others because of adopting
reflective, this is due to the reason that through this one can also raise the abilities to reflect
others during the same code of conduct and also about the subject knowledge.
It can change the skills of mine this is done to the reason that reflective practice allows me to
take part and conduct their operations by adopting various set of procedures and framework for
the particular task (Goulet et al., 2016). Therefore, it can support in understanding the life skills,
social skills and can help me to use different skills for gaining knowledge of the particular
concept in the subject area. On the other hand it can also raise the knowledge when I could
attend different training sessions and reflect me in timely basis so that I can find the
improvement areas and approaches which can be used to change increase the content and major
component of the knowledge as well as helps in involving me in understanding new information
or concept which can be used in the education context. Through this I can also involve in doing
various assignments, reading articles and attend each session of the classroom so that each
activity will be recorded and helps in increasing the knowledge of the subject.
Reflective practice could be applied by adopting various activities which includes increase the
discussion at the end of the session and filling the session of reflection in each of the essay article
as well as projects (Taylor, 2017). Further, it can also change my attitudes belief as well as
behavior it is because through this I can change the approach and manner of thinking. It also
overcomes the difficulties of measuring themselves and others in one point of time. It can be
increased by attending the session in which reflecting others practice is adopted so that I can use
my skills to reflect others in the certain point of time. Reflective practice also helps me to
develop in professional manner because of observing the behaviors of themselves and others as
well as aligning the behaviors with the particular discipline.

Task-3
Importance of supporting others reflection and CPD
It is considered important to support others reflection it is because through this it helps in
developing the team spirit as well as helps in providing efficient services and increase the way of
raising the positive attitudes of others. Therefore through this provide it can provide the
information about the positive as well as negative experiences and support in increasing the ways
of life-learning skills and increasing attitudes towards the subject area in the educational context
(Thu, 2019). There are several other benefit increasing support of reflecting others which
includes that through this individual can clarifies others values as well as philosophies to become
confront about the new situations. This can also increase the abilities of others to solve the
problem, increase the shared understanding and knowledge as well as maintain open
communication or team work which help the individual to work in team. It is because through
this both can see the wide perspective of each other in different situations and maintain reality
check regarding the discrimination as well as biases which can also help in increasing the feeling
of motivation (Ruben & Gigliotti, 2016).
It also become important for continuing professional development (CPD) it is due to the reason
that through this individual can continue to increase the competent in different profession. It can
also increase the procedure as well as support the individual to increase the skills and abilities so
that one can develop in professional manner. Therefore, though this individual increase the
capabilities and abilities to keep the balance through the present framework and coordinate it wit
the others in the similar field as well as area (Coulson & Homewood, 2016). This also helps in
increasing the ability to understand the needs and requirement of the customers so that individual
ca increase the skills of providing quality services to the customers and clients, this can increase
the communication intellectual as well as interpersonal relationship skills. It also provides
complete knowledge regarding the specific area it is because of maintain relevancy and
awareness regarding the changing trends as well as dynamic environment (Auret & Wollf, 2018).
This support in adopting and learning new skills and knowledge so that skills of the individual
does not become out dated. It can also allow the individual to provide efficient contribution in
the classroom and other centers because of increase the ability of leading, managing as well as
influencing.

Approaches to facilitate other’s reflective practice
There are various approaches which is to be used to facilitate reflective practice of others which
includes focusing on the thoughts approach and provide them different ideas so that they can
increase their knowledge and skills regarding the subject matter. This supports others in
developing their voice and gain confidence because of getting several initiative and diverse
opinions about complex issues as well as problems (Koh & Boisen, 2019). This is the best
approach it is due to the reason that through these others can organize and manage their thinking,
in this one gain knowledge by exploring various information for the subject matter.
There are several others approaches which should be used that is feelings and emotional response
approach in this others reflective practice can be facilitated that is through this individual can
record the response of the others in the given situation so that their strengths and weaknesses can
be understood. Through this others can understand their weak areas which can be increase and
define the approaches which are to be used so that it can increase and leads in raising the
motivation level of the individual (Mezirow, 2018). Therefore it can also help the individual to
increase awareness regarding the actions and strategies to be used for other’s reflective practice.
The reflection question and prompts is also one of the approach through which one can develop
the number of questions through which individual can understand the behavior of others in
different content of subject matter, this can support in making critical and in-depth decision
regarding the appropriate matter. This can be by using case study approach as well as exploring
the contingencies by developing suitable factors which should be used in the case. Therefore
through this others clarify the thoughts which are influencing in both positive and negative
manner (Deng, 2016). The pictorial representation is the better approach trough which reflective
practice of others should is facilitate and individual can observe in the action and recall so that
suggestions as well as guidelines will be provided so that reflective practice is adopted in
efficient manner and both skills and abilities is increased.
Conclusion
From the above, it is concluded that reflective practice refers to the approach in which
individuals can reflect on the performance of themselves and others so that it can increase the
motivation to engage in the procedure of learning. "Experiential Learning Cycle Model" and

advantages that it helps the individual in increasing their skills and abilities. It helps the
individual to attain several outcomes such as one can identify time, become specific etc. The
above investigation also describes that it supports the individual to develop in a professional
