INTRODUCTION
‘Reflect on the process of your group presentations. Identify and critically evaluate the
strategies used, and indicate how you will address areas for development.’
My presentation was not that good as it should be. But I have learnt a lot from my mistakes and
errors. The presentation part of mine needs to developed appropriately. The strategies which I
have used in the process has helped me in my individual development. My strategy which I had
adopted was that I was learning a month ago for the presentation. I knew that I need to have
practice of presentation because I have fear of delivering it in front of personnels. For that I have
made clear strategy to practise as much as I can so that I can deliver my presentation part better
than others (Nahavandi, 2016). I had practised in front of family so much time because I want to
develop my skills and to remove my fear totally so that I can accomplish my goals. I had taken
enough time to go through my part and I was ready for the presentation day. I had delivered my
part not adequately as I think it should have been much better than it was. I was feeling bit
nervous and which hindered in giving away my better performance.
My strategies was first to arrange my content in specific manner so that I may analyse the
audience. Organising content means that I had to make my content relevant to problem which I
had to cover in my presentation part. Otherwise, if content is arranged then communication will
be lacking and no connection will be established between me and audience. After organising the
content, next strategy was to outline my presentation. It is mechanical framework as I had to be
aware of the content that how is to be delivered to the personnels. Knowing the main body and
all parts of presentation will give right path to me to accomplish in my part. Next strategy was to
use visual aids as it serves notes to be emphasis and provide clarity to audience to whom I will
be connecting. This is helpful in capturing interest and attention towards specific piece of
information (Rui and Stefanone, 2013). The visual aids include charts, tables and pictures. It
provides meaningful information to audience. I had prepared visual aids as it was important to
capture attention of audience. These all strategies I had incorporated in my practise so that I may
deliver my part in the best manner.

From the strategies, I had learned a lot from the errors which i had made which has
impacted my presentation. I was not able to channelised mu strategies in the way which has
given bad performance. I had now learned about communication skills as it is required to get
connected with the audience effectively. If there is lack of communication, then connecting with
audience may not take place. I had also learned that firm dedication and full determination was
lacking in my part as I have not fulfilled it and as it resulted in bad performance of mine. The
group of mine has effectively delivered their part. The reason behind their success was just
because of firm dedication towards the work which has given them fruitful results. I had also
learned that analytical skills should also be better so that connection should be made better with
the audience.
The reason behind my failure to deliver was that it was my first experience and I didn't
know how to accomplish it. This had led to my failure in accomplishing my duties. But now, I
have started overcoming my mistakes which I had made earlier. This has lead to immense
development in my behaviour and I'm started reacting on my errors and I reaching to
development of my behaviour in effective way. This has boosted my morale in positive way and
I'm able to face new challenges in life (Kratochwill, 2013). I have learned team work and how
goals should be achieved in effective manner. Also, it had led to development of my
communication skills, analytical skills etc., I m able to make effective contribution in the team
work and now I m able to strive to my challenges so that I may give my better performance
which had spoiled earlier in my presentation. This has given me an approach to make my
weaknesses into strengths and I' m waiting for the next opportunity to deliver my best
performance. I would like to conclude that goals can be accomplished through firm
determination only.
