Introduction
Reflection refers to the presentation of the thoughts one has during the
experiences which one has gone through a particular time period. It is
quite important to make sure that the personal experiences are presented
in a much better manner to the other people in an effective manner. This
can be quite helpful for the other people so that they can learn from the
experiences a particular person had. In this presentation, there will be a
detailed discussion on the various types of topics which have been
discussed as a part of the module in the workshop.

Reflection
I am a student who is studying in an university. In our university, there
was a workshop in which a discussion was made on the several topics.
Thus as a student I was helped a lot by the discussion which was carried
out on them in an effective manner. Thus this helped me a lot in the
development of my skills and abilities in a much better manner. Such
workshops are quite crucial for a student to be able to ensure that the
real potential can be channelized in a much better manner in the future
time period.

I will provide my reflection on my learning throughout the workshop by
making the use of Kolb's model. Kolb's model is used by a person so
that the experience during a particular situation can be effectively
recounted. The application of the model is explained as follows-
Concrete experience- In our university, a workshop was organized for
all the students in which taking they were required to participate. This
workshop therefore helped in the right development of the skills and
abilities of all the students.

There was a discussion on several topics during the workshop and
progress was made day by day. We were required to write an essay on
the topic- “Can money buy happiness?”. Then we were given three
different types of summaries to work upon and decide which one among
them is the best. Thereafter we were given a passage for which we had
to determine the title and determine the details which are important and
not important. Also the focus was made on development of arguments.

We were given a topic to write an essay
on this topic- The Impact of Global
Income Inequality on the Housing
Market in the UK. Also an essay was
given on this topic- Higher average
incomes do not necessarily mean an
improvement in average citizen's well-
being. We were also provided
feedbacks after we did these essays.

We were given a presentation on making the use of Kolb's Model to
give reflection on the experience which we had. Further, a presentation
on working together as a group was also discussed.
There was a discussion on Listening Strategies for Seminars and
Lectures through a presentation. We were explained the right way of
taking the notes during Seminars and Lectures. We were also given
different types of paragraphs to paraphrase. Further there was a
presentation on Academic Study Skills. We were provided a checklist to
effectively judge our presentation on various parameters.

workshop, we learnt a lot
and had different types of
experiences through the

activities. These activities
provided me a platform
through which I was able
to develop my skills in
the right manner.

There were some of the topics which I found very hard. These topics were
the essays we were given initially as a part of the workshop. I found them
hard because I had never worked on these topics. However after
following the advice which was given to me by the teachers I applied my
research skills in the correct manner and did a vast research on these
topics appropriately through which I was able to understand the topic in a
much better way effectively and efficiently.

Overall, I can say that I enjoyed a lot during the workshop as it was a
great learning experience for me. This is so because I was able to learn
a lot about certain new skills in it in an effective manner. I was able to
detect my different types of shortcomings and therefore make sure that I
apply the right approaches which I learned during the workshop to
rectify them. Thus, this is an experience through which I will be able to
enhance my abilities in the right manner in the future and thus I will
achieve my goals and objectives.
