INTRODUCTION
Reflective commentary is a piece of reflecting writing which consider the
particular assignment it accompanies. Reflective writing is the physical act of
writing own thoughts, perceptions, feeling and interaction related to specific event
or situation. Also, it helps to learn from event in regard to improve the knowledge.
Present report is based on reflective commentary on Quantitative Research Methods
for Social Scientists in order to use relevant model.
MAIN BODY
Gibbs model of reflection commentary
Gibbs reflective cycle was developed by Graham Gibbs in 1988 in order to
give the structure to learning from experience and also it offers as framework for
examining experiences. There are several stages which are need to follow in order
to reflect in effective manner (Yong, 2021).
Description- The chosen topic for the research was Quantitative Research
Methods for Social Scientists in order to enhance deep knowledge and first of all I
have decided the aims and objective of the research topic. The aim were to assess
the impact of smoking over health of the person. A study on UK. A topic selected
with the help of google by searching relevant keywords such as negative impacts of
smoking on person health. Then objective of the research were written on the basis
of selected aim (Cole, 2021). I was getting nervous at that time because it was the
first time when I have work on research project. I was expected to complete the
project before deadline because I felt that it takes lot of time.
Feeling- Before I started I was realized that it is typical to completed but I
have done all the action one by one with proper guidance. I was quite to do research
on the topic regarding health. Actually topic was very common and build interest in
me. I have taken helps from my classmates who are agreed that topic is very good
and approved by teacher as well. Further, I needed motivations to concentrate on
topic and collecting the relevant information. There were four research question
were written by me in order to complete it so that (Donnelly, 2018). After the
situation feeling was changed I did not feel nervous at all and also any professor
agreed on I have done great and now I am feeling good to take challenges regarding

completing that kind of research project. Also, I am feeling satisfied that I have
decided to put more efforts for the project.
Evaluation- The things were good in order to face challenges regarding deep
searching and ins the literature review I have taken help from my classmate in order
to research more on academic because he is good at online research. At the end of
the day I have realized that I should more focus on improving the quality of writing
because literature review is one of major element of research. The negative aspect is
related to it takes lots of time and that is why I did not focus more on other
elements. Also, research methodology helped for enhancing my knowledge in order
to update my knowledge on very important topic (Tawanwongsri and Phenwan,
2019). Then on the basis of research methodology I have used ,my prior knowledges
that taught in class by professor. Also, they have provided us sample in follow up
with the guideline so that not element will leave. From the report I learned about
how to enhance my knowledge in order to contribute positively. It has been
evaluated that I was happy to uses my theoretical knowledge into completed the
project.
Analysis- It has been critically analysed that the completion of project was
good in order to make use of my knowledge n improve my writing pattern that was
not good before. Buts now I have confidence of writing the project. I have used my
strength such as writing in English and searching habit on google that helped me to
learn on vast topic. Also, I have also learned how to work on improving the
weakness such as learned new words and understand the meaning of each word and
uses in the reports ins orders to complete the literature review. I have also taken the
challenge of writing in effective manner which has completed effectively. Then I
have also realized that to work on decision-making skill is helped me for choosing
the topic. Further, I have used my knowledge for building efficiency of completing
the project on time (Yaacob and Asraf, 2021).
Conclusion- It has been concluded that overall experience was good and it
also helped me to learn about academic writing and it will always help me to learn
by putting more efforts. Also, I have improved my learning habit and completed the
work on time that is necessary for any work also these skills will help me in further

On the basis of transferable skill I have analysed that present research
helped me to work on academic learning and it is helped me to how to

the deadline of project. According to bucks graduates attributes it has been
analysed that it help me to become innovative and able to take challenges by
using approach for positive change (Ramlal and Augustin, 2020). From the
writing I have also analysed that it helped me to learn new things which is
necessary for critical thinking. In report writing I have taking the decisions
regarding choosing the topic which help me to learn on the basis of developing
the knowledge as well as it help to provide my basis understanding regarding
how to uses experience in orders to build the capability of learning new things.
Further, I have realized that it is also helped mes to learn in order to more
focus on learning habit that is necessary for using the timeline of the work
because for any work it can be basis on there were fix timeline given which is
need tos follow. Also, for the research topic it is necessary to work more on
problem solving in order to solve the problem of how to get help from
classmate or professor in order to complete the project on time. From starting
of the project to completion I have build my skill and knowledge in order more
focus on learning (Mulryan-Kyne, 2021.).
There were wide range of evidence were collected in order to take the
help from deep research. Also, the another transferable skill is related to
developing the knowledge for enhance work pattern as well as it help to
improving the communications. Communication skill is helped me to discuss

my communication skills,. There were positive response given by professor
also it is worked well in order to complete the work on time. This is also
helped to build the good relation with others to take help from others as well as
it also help me enhance my knowledge (Zadorozhna and et.al., 2018). Then
writing is also helped to improve the competencies regarding primary task of
every job because it is the nature of business . Also, it is the essential element
of most careers then it is also helped me to convey the messages in order to
express the feeling. Further, creativity skill are helped for to solves the tasks
ins order to use the approach and experience so that it can help me for learning
new things by understanding the topic in critic form.
On the basis of employability skill I have realized that it is necessary to
follow the approach for diverging the capability of learning in order to takes
better decision. Also, it helps to provide the knowledge for academic
qualification and also helped to build the efficiency of working and it can be
said I also build the technical knowledge in order to write by computer. Then I
have analysed that it is necessary to improve my knowledge and skill regarding
taking initiate for completing the work on time. Further, I have improved my
skill of gathering and collecting the data by open source and also takes help
from google scholar in order to improve my knowledge (Fathelrahman, 2019).
Then I have build the interest in putting everyone's point by considering fact
regarding the topic. Also, the chosen topic helped me to enhance my
knowledge as well as improving my learning habit.
Reflecting on career goals
On the basis of reflective commentary it can be said that I have get the
positive feedback from my professor in order to complete the project on time. Then
I have realized the important of feedback in my life. However, professor told me to
more work on academic learning in order to work on more detail. Then I have
realize that transferable skill of mines are improved by project which help to
enhance my knowledge also gives mes opportunity of learning new things and
completing the task on time (Vahed and Rodriguez, 2021). Then it will work for

my future goal and career development in which I will use the decisions making
skill in near future. Also, I have realized that it is necessary to more focus on
completing the work on times in order to follow rules and regulation. For future, I
will improve my decision-making skill that that help me to learn effective manner
and build the team in such as ways where it helps me to get better opportunity of
learning. Then I have understood the knowledge of using learning for work related
experience also I have analysed that it helped me to using the resource such as
knowledge from online academic comment and library etc.
It helped me active learnings. Also, I have improved my communications
skill that helped mes to learn in effectiveness that help in career development when
I will join any corporate sector. Further, on the basis of communications it will help
me to advancement of career in order to build career advancement knowledge which

feedback that I can more focus on managerial experiences in order to build the
efficiency in order to development of knowledge. Further, the decision-making skill
helped mes to enhances my knowledge in order to manage the team in effective
manner. There were positive response given by professor also it is worked well in
order to complete the work on time. In order to cooperate with team I will use my
knowledge regarding effective learning pattern but for improving communications I
will focus on learn through vocabulary on daily basis which is necessary for
developing my skill which is help for improving knowledge.
CONCLUSION
It has been concluded that Reflective writing is the physical act of writing

enhance my knowledge. Further, discus the critical reflection by using Gibbs model.
Then I have used my knowledge for improving skill by using different type of
employability and transferable skill. Lastly, I have improved my communication
skill on the basis of communications it will help me to advancement of career in
order to build career advancement knowledge which I will work on near future.
