Introduction
The experience from both the assignments has been a learning one in which I gained various
types of knowledge regarding workplace diversity and importance of team work and a learning
as a whole that would help me in my future growth. The paper reflects on the experience and
learning I gained from assignment one and two using Gibbs reflective cycle and Belbin Team
Role model.
Reflection of Experience from Assignment 1
I have learned many things about this topic on diversity as well as about methods of analysis,
which I will discuss using Gibbs reflective cycle (Huseb et al. 2015).
Description
I took the assignment as a part of my course and indulged myself in the analysis of issues and
challenges businesses face while implementing and managing diversity in human resources. I
took part in this research because I find diversity and equality in human resource as one of the
topic which is in demand in today’s global organization. From extensive research and analysis
the assignment was a knowledgeable one and helped me know many things about the research
area as well as method used to research on a topic.
Feelings
Before I took part in this assignment I was very reluctant about my effectiveness to conduct the
research. Moreover, we were given various themes to choose and this made me confused on the
most effective and relevant theme that I can use. However, as I started working with the research
work on diversity I felt this to be a correct choice because in the era of globalization when

companies are becoming global, diversity is a major challenge for them to deal with. Thus, I
found it interesting to work on this topic and indulged myself in extensive research reading and
studying secondary data. I feel the research was a helpful one and my decision was correct,
however, there are certain areas that could have improved further.
Evaluation
The positive thing about this activity was that it helped me gain knowledge on diversity, human
resource and many other areas. I also gained an insight about research work and formal way of
addressing things. However, I feel that I could have improved further on my research by
including some primary data as well.
Conclusion
Thus it can be said that conducting secondary research was effective, however, there should have
been some primary research as well to get the current scenario of diversity in Uber and a close
check on the challenges they face.
Action
I would suggest that in future while indulging in any such research work I would plan for some
primary data collection to prove the accuracy and reliability of the research.
Reflection of Experience from Assignment 2
I will use the Belbin Team Role model to describe my learning in assignment 2 which was a
group project of new business plan. The major learning that I gathered from this assignment is to
develop a good and strong business plan as well as ways to work in an effective team. Belbin
Team Role model will help me project my learning of working in a team (Aritzeta et al. 2007).

Action Oriented Roles
Among the action oriented role I acted as an implementer that implemented the plan into action
such as describing the business goals, objectives and products. I helped the team to turn their
ideas into a written document to continue with a systematic and efficient way of starting a new
accountancy firm.
People Oriented Roles
In people oriented role I acted as a resource investigator because I have a curious and innovative
nature. I researched about various accountancy firms in the region and studied their strategies,
products and services to build the best for our new accountancy business plan. This helped me be
enthusiastic and learn the way ideas can be shared within a team. Others worked as coordinator
and team worker.
Thought Oriented Roles
In though oriented role I realized I acted as an evaluator that evaluated the ideas planned by
weighing the pros and cons of different strategies and then discussed with other members who
acted as a specialist in different areas and a plant.
Reflection on Learning Subject as a whole
From the entire subject learning I learnt to be a good researcher and learnt about various tactics
and skills that should be used in a research to come up with successful outcomes. Moreover, I
was able to dig into my innovative and team working skills that will always help me in my future
career as an entrepreneur. This is because in order to be successful in business it is important to
be a team player, a listener, an innovator and a researcher to implement the best out of the plan.
