Recently, I have taken part in the group research activity and for this purpose we have
chosen the topic “A competitor analysis for Chester's full-time Global MBA focusing on the UK
market” (Driscoll, 2000). Here, in order to collect the data for the selected topic, I have taken
help from number of secondary sources such as books, journals and online articles. But, among
all given sources, I have collected my major data from the different academic websites. The main
reason behind selecting the respective method is that, I can gather thorough information
regarding the program. In addition to this, I also believe that it is the only source from which I
can assemble information about other courses which are related with my selected subject (Pässilä
and Vince, 2015). Here, through this way I can draw an effective conclusion for my study and
thereby can meet the aims and objectives of the study in an effectual way. In addition to this, it
can also be stated that the method selected for the study have significant impact on the research.
It is because, the success of any research study thoroughly depends upon its data collection
methods only.
Being the researcher of the study, it was expected from me that I should follow all the
ethical and moral principle associated with the data collection and analysis process. I have
played the given role in a very effective manner. In this regard, I took efforts to collect the data
for the respective study from the authenticated sources (Driscoll and Teh, 2001). For example,
while collecting the data from website, I ensured that I will select such websites which has
copyright.. Thus, through this way the work of whole study will be directed towards the right
direction in an efficient way. In addition to this, from my role it was also expected that I should
make thorough analysis of the selected topic before making the decision for applying specific
data collection method upon the same. This is because; if it is not done by me at that time it will
become difficult to meet the framed questions of the study in an effectual way.
Another ethical aspect which I consider while collecting data from the website is to make
the proper reference of the assembled information. Here, in the given research I have used
appropriate and authentic reference of the authors from where I have assembled my data. Hence,
I have complied with all ethical rules and regulations while selecting secondary data for the
study via website (Liberali and et.al., 2012). However, I have faced many challenges while
collecting the data from the website. One of the biggest challenges which I faced was that I did
not get access of some academic websites. As there were some websites which demanded for the
user id and password. Hence, it became very difficult for me to gather the information from the

respective sites in an effective way. The given thing has affected the final result of my study.
This is because; the websites which I am trying to get access possess some important information
about my study. If I was able to gather information from the respective website then varied result
would have been found.
Furthermore, another limitation behind collecting data from website is related to not
getting detailed information about the requested content. Here, I required detail information
about the competitive course related with Chester's full-time Global MBA. But, I failed and I
believe that the given thing has impact the final output of the study. However, I can remove the
limitations related with the secondary method by using different primary sources in my future
research consultancy project (Ellis, Carette and Lievens, 2014). For this purpose, in future I will
collect the primary data through the technique such as survey and questionnaire. Furthermore,
with the use of given methods I can achieve the aims and objectives of the respective study in a
more effectual way. In addition to this, in future I will also make sure that I should consider all
the limitations related with secondary data collection method. Further, I will also maintain the
credibility of the conducted study. The whole things depict that, I have faced many ups and
downs while carrying out the study on the selected topic.
But, I learnt many things while preparing the research report. In this context, I identified
significant improvement in my researching skill. In order to collect data for the given study, I
reviewed the number of websites and thus selected the specific websites which proved useful for
my study. Furthermore, my presentation ability has also improved because of the given project.
Earlier, I did not have any knowledge regarding the way to present research study. But, gradually
I learned while conducting my research on the topic such as “A competitor analysis for Chester's
full-time Global MBA focusing on the UK market”. With an aim to present the respective study,
I used the format which is adopted by different researchers. Moreover, I also believe that my
analytical skill have also improved significantly. Here, on daily basis I collected content from
number of academic websites (Bernabeo and et.al., 2013). Some websites were useful however
some were not. Thus, in order to save my time I have compared different websites and have
selected appropriate website. Thus, through such type of activity only I have improved my
analytical skill. Additionally, I also learned the technique to work in a group. This will help a lot
in the future.

Before starting the study, I have felt that I was not able to conduct the research on the
selected study. This is because; I do not have any kind of researching experience. But, the thing
has changed as I have started my work upon the given study (Rolfe, Freshwater and
Jasper, 2001). Gradually, I learned the way to conduct the study on selected topic. Hence, it is
correct to say that whole process has taught me a lot (Bastiani and Wolfendale, 2013). Overall, it
can be said that whether thing which I have learned in the present study will be used by me in my
future research work also. By complying with the given type of activity only, I will give my
effective contribution towards the assigned work in an effectual way.

Feelings While getting the respective report, I felt that I
was not able to perform this as earlier I have
not done such kind of work (Gibbs, 1988). In
addition to this, I also felt that the topic which I
have selected is difficult that I will not be able
to complete within specified time frame.
Evaluation The good thing that was happened with me
during the project was that I have learned the
way of conducting research on selected topic.
In addition to this, I have also learned different
other types of skills. But while conducting the
secondary research, I have faced different
ethical issues. This can be regarded as my bad
experience which I have gained while
conducting the study upon selected topic.
Analysis I have learned that I should make use of both
primary and secondary data collection method
for my research report (Moon, 2013).
Conclusion But, I have learned different skills from the
given project. The data with respect to the
given study has been collected by me with the
help of different secondary sources. Hence, in
future, I will make sure that I will use both
primary and secondary data collection means
with an aim to draw an effective conclusion for
the study.
