INTRODUCTION
This report aims to present a reflective piece of work. Universities provide many
opportunities for the students to get skills development and prepare themselves for future
employability. There are many courses and lectures provided which enhance the knowledge,
abilities, and skills of the students. These skills are helpful at the workplace or any professional
platform to represent self-abilities in an effective manner (Suleman, 2018). This report is going
to showcase my own experience about what have learned in universities. Also, there will be one
past real-life experience at the workplace and mental health competencies are also going to
evaluate.
MAIN BODY
TASK
Critical analyze the is of the breadth of the module
I have engaged in the module which is related to my coursework for professional exchange
research. The module has various purposes to enhance the knowledge and skills of the student to
analyze the significance of professional practices. I was quite interested in the concept of
cognitive intelligence which has made me surprised and attractive. Also, I have gone through the
professional learning badge assessment in which I have shown my interest in attending
workshops and conferences. It includes learning for leadership approaches, sustainable
development goals, and cultural intelligence. I was also engaged in the lectures on physical
intelligence in week 4. The experience of engaging in physical intelligence has sunrise me as
there are a lot of key areas which need to be under consideration while I physically represent
myself in front of others. This intelligence has provided me with knowledge and skills about
behaving and working on my body posture correctly. This will help me to showcase my capable
area professionally. I have learned that physical intelligence is necessary as much as the brain
needs to work at the same time. In the week 5 lecture module, I have learned about what is
cultural intelligence for mental health competencies. The Lecturer has provided me with various
nature and personalities which are different in the culture. From this lecture module, I have
learned that while working at the workplace or university level we meet with many personalities
and individuals who have different perceptions, attitudes beliefs, and values. As the cultures are
differentiated in various ways. Therefore, culture is the most important aspect for Organisation to

look for achieving employability aims in the future. Therefore, I have learned that cultural
intelligence is all about how I will adjust and manage with different cultural attitudes and
changes which may arrive in my future career profession. The lecture module on cultural
intelligence provided me with knowledge about various strategies and actions that are needed to
be taken. I have utilized this concept in my work at Waitrose. Due to learning from this module,
I was able to maintain connections in communication with other team members. The cross-
cultural strategies have helped me to solve business problems and complete our work activities
through proper coordination. The lecture module of week 11 has shown me the facts about
Entrepreneurship and its mindset. I was able to analyze various roles knowledge skills and
challenges are faced by an entrepreneur to get success in the business. As I also wanted to be a
businessman in the future to rule the market coma I get to know about the responsibilities of a
business in terms of Sustainable and social development. The lecture has awakened my eyes
about what is going on in society. An entrepreneur would look for both profit and nonprofit
income sources but if they make aim to create social welfare, it would change the whole world in
enhancing the quality of life full stop in my own experience I have seen that poverty is still rising
in many countries where are all the activities are controlled by the government. A part of my
module through which I have learned the significance of Technology in the modern scenario.
Digitalization helps make communication, promotion marketing commerce sale, and enhance e-
commerce in the market. The things which did not work well are the proper implementation of
cognitive and digital skills. I was emphasized using as much as digital solutions within my team
practices, but it become difficult for everyone to achieve work on set deadlines. The ideas of
making changes in the sales were liked by all the audience. Apart from this, I have analyzed that
digitalization and the use of leadership approaches were helpful to achieve the project deadline.
As it simply made the work. I have devolved various key skills and overcome them with my
mental health competence of adopting and understanding.
Gibbs reflective model
This reflective model is effective to showcase the overall experience effectively. (Di
Gregorio and et.al., 2019) The six crucial stages of this cycle are defined below:
Description: When I was working in the Waitrose supermarket in the position of sales
executive. I have experienced many ups and downs in performing sales and maintaining

customer satisfaction. When there were any meetings or conferences laid down in the company,
sales managers need to have innovative ideas and professional ways to attract customers. These
meetings need to be held ineffective manner which was led by me. Therefore, I was engaged
with a team of 5 members and we have assigned a task to research the current trends in the
supermarket. The presentation needed to be held after the 5 days from the meeting so that, the
whole team joins together to make necessary plans. I have learned through my modules about
cognitive and physical skills to perform professional practice (McGunagle and Zizka, 2020). But
I have seen that the other team member was new joineries who do not have much knowledge
about the workplace. So that, all the responsibilities are on my hand to make them engage and
guide for achieving task objective.
Feeling: I and my time members emphasize analyzing the presentation plan. As I was the
leader to manage all the work, at first I felt quite nervous as well as confused as to where to start.
As I have not made any interaction with the people in my team before, it was difficult for me to
get engage with them and understand their capabilities and skills. After some time, we made
conversation and interaction properly and for once, we forget about the presentation that we need
to work on. After that conversation, I felt quite energetic and fresh to start a project in a good
manner. The whole team was excited and ready to get into the work. By making a team and
connection, I felt happy about what I have learned in my universities about leadership
approaches and skills. I thought of those techniques and ideas to put in my real practices as it
was the opportunity to analyze my employability skills. During this experience to get involved
and make others also engage in the presentation, I have come through many mental health
competencies which have made me frustrated and out of confidence (Rowe and Zegwaard,
2017). One of the major competencies that affect my work is to collaborate strengthen also,
understand, and adopt. I felt that it is normal for me to adopt concepts and ways of customer
demands but not for my team members. They did not have any experience with these tasks and
activities or some of them may have the basic knowledge.
Evaluation: Many things worked well in our group presentation on performing a sales
research project. Outgroup efforts and team, coordination were one of the best things that took
place. Through this coordination and efforts, we were able to divide work among all of us. As I
was not left out with another option to hand over the complex task to those who have some
experience in the field. But things went well as the group members have not thought about any

partial behavior. It has been evaluated from this experience that, proper communication and
building interpersonal relations are necessary while working in a team. All the team members
have done good quality work on research and some of them come out with innovative and
creative ideas (Nisha and Rajasekaran, 2018). So, I have decided to work on Artificial
intelligence to make the research stronger and accurate and then hand over the statistics to the
team for making an attractive presentation.
Analysis: from the overall experience of our group sales presentation, I have analyzed
various key areas. I have noticed all the professional acts which we had performed during the
presentation day. In the meeting, I and my team presented the task very well. The heads and
other subordinates were happy with our efforts. I have analyzed our key strength during the
meeting which was the coordination, interpersonal, understanding, and professional skills that
have contributed to our success.
Conclusion: the overall experience has drawn an effective conclusion about my key
competence skills which has made me successful to be a leader as well as an influencer for
others. I adopted some effective leadership approaches and give priority to making
communication and interpersonal relation with my peers (Azmi, Hashim, and Yusoff, 2018).
This has ended positively as I made myself ready to take a business opportunity in the field of
management and sales.
Action plan: after analyzing all experiences which went well, there is a need to prepare an
action plan to enhance some of the key skills.

student. The report has applied the Gibbs model of reflection which has clearly shown every
experience of working in the company. Therefore, it has been concluded from the report, it is
required to enhance key skills such as problem-solving, technical, and time management for
