This reflective report presents a self-evaluation of interpersonal skills, focusing on areas for improvement to enhance employability. The report analyzes communication, creativity, and networking skills, identifying strengths and weaknesses through self-assessment. SMART objectives are established for skill development, including improving problem-solving, communication, and networking abilities. Reflective Report

INTRODUCTION
Personal development plan is a plan with the help of which various actions plan can be
developed by the individual that can support them in improving their various skills and
knowledge. Such plans generally includes aspirations statements of the individuals, strengths and
weaknesses, education and training and many more. In this report such plan is prepared for
which analysis of various skill is done that facilitate the individual in improving the abilities of
dealing with various situations. Various skills that are analyses includes communication skills,
creativity skills, personal and general networks etc.
MAIN BODY
Evaluation of interpersonal skills is needed in order to analyze area of improvement
(Burnard, 2013). As per my self-evaluation I identify some of strengths as well as some major
areas that needed to be improve. These specific areas are -
Interpersonal skill Creativity:
For an individual, it is required to analyze several area of improvement that falls in
working creativity practices (Pichler and Beenen, 2013). Interpersonal skill creativity involves
decision making, problem solving, writing, open-mindedness and so on. On the basis of these
kind of skills individual can develop professionalism as per their career requirement and need.
My objectives towards improvement of my creativity skill is-
SMART objective: To improve interpersonal creativity skills within 1 year by participating in
different situations in order to resolve issues associated with it properly.
I analyze that my problem solving skill needs to be improve within a specific time
duration. Through this, I can easily analyze each and every situation and can make appropriate
decision as per its requirement. Inappropriate problem solving skill can create issues in my
professional career development as it can turn a potentially positive situation into negative one.
Experts and professional views towards such creativity skill is that individual needed to work on
such skills so that issues related to professional areas can be rectified. I will be able to solve
problems at workplace by growing my industry specific knowledge. Some other rectification that
are taking place can be understanding a problem through appropriate research, by leading better

solutions and so on. I always keen to solve my problems either systematically or intuitively.
Therefore, requirement of such solutions needs to be identified as per analyzing issue that can be
related to my workplace or personal compatibility. Improvement of this skill assist me in taking
participation in team working activities so that I can lead it in effective manner. By
implementing appropriate solution, I can easily create strategy in my mind in order to resolve
conflicts that can be related to particular situation. Active listening also plays an important role
in such situation in which I needs to analyze each situation properly by listening views of others.
Interpersonal skill creativity also involves decision making skill in order to take correct
appropriate decision by analyzing requirement of situation. All these area of improvement assist
an individual to develop their career towards professionalism development. Thus, it is useful
form me to consider views of experts in order to improve my interpersonal skill in effective
manner.
Interpersonal skill communication:
Interpersonal communication is a process by which people exchange information, ideas,
feelings with each other (Anderson and et.al., 2016). For an individual, it is required to have
effective communication skill so that they can represent their views and opinion in front of
others. Interpersonal communication is not just about verbal communication but also how non-
verbal communication sent through voice, facial expression, gesture, body language and so on.
For me it is required to have effective communication skill so that can communicate effectively
with others (Chen,2017). Therefore, my objective to improve communication skill is -
SMART objective: To Improve communication skill within 6 months by building direct
interaction with individuals as well as by enhancing active listening skills.
Interpersonal skills involve abilities to build relationship as well as to communicate with
others (Koprowska, 2020). Effective communication skill involves listening, observing, speaking
and empathizing. For me, it is required to analyze several areas that I can improve by
implementing some strategies. Improvement in communication assist me to demonstrate
leadership, lead a team, work with individual who are from diverse culture, enhance abilities to
persuade and inspire other by my opinion and viewpoints. I got some feedback from my seniors
and peers to work on some area as active listening, observing and expressing to improve my
communication skill. On the basis of these kind of skills I can enhance ability to solve problem,

generate ideas and distribute them appropriately at workplace. In this regard, it is also required to
analyze effective use of different communication channel for example if I need to communicate
with potential employer than it is better to send a formal email to them. Thus, appropriate mode
of communication assists to make things formal at workplace. On the basis of these kind of
improvements, I can easily develop professionalism and can develop career development
opportunities.
General Networks:
General network skills are related with the skills of developing relations with many
people with general purpose. Such general purpose can be for formal meeting, getting awareness
about the environment, prevailing situations and many more (Strezoski and Vidović, 2015).
SMART objective: To improve the general networks within 4 months by attending various
social programs, events and functions etc. so that interaction can be increased.
General network must be developed by an individual as with the help of this the
individual can identify various solutions to the problems as with such networks better discussion
can be undertaken (Schiller, 2019). I live in a society where people interact with each other due
to which they get to know about the prevailing situation in the surroundings. On the basis of
which they take necessary decisions so that issues can be resolved. I realized the need of this
skills at personal level is quite very important as with the help of this I will get to know about
various people and various social concerns. But for me it is not possible to interact with so many
people, due to which I focus upon the social media platform where general interaction ca be done
effectively.
CV and Application:
For the individual it is important to prepare a CV while searching for the job as this
enable the recruiter to understand the abilities and capabilities of the individual with which they
can undertake various tasks. When the job seekers finds a suitable job they apply for them by
filling up the application form in which they provide their expectations from the job and specific
their skills and abilities. This facilitates the interviewer in identifying the suitability of the
candidate (Sanares-Carreon and Heliker, 2016).

SMART objective: To improve my CV writing skills within a period of 2 months by attending
various sessions in which the art of writing CV can be learned.
CV writing skills are important for an individual when they are looking for the job as
with the help of this they can let the interviewer know about the skills, abilities and knowledge
that are possessed by an individual (Ogwueleka and Aniche, 2017). This skills is so very crucial
for me to be developed as with this the recruiter can be made aware of my potential. I prepared
CV when I was looking for the job which included various personal and professional
information. After in appeared in the interviews I realized that my CV is strong enough that can
let the interviewer know about me. Also I realized that I could not express my self efficiently
while filling up the application form. Due to this that I must take various sessions with the help
of which I can improve my CV wiring skills. For this I got myself enrolled in the sessions of art
of writing in which I can learn to write effectively and express myself efficiently. For example,
in the session I can learn about to importance of various information such as of writing the
address in the CV, details of the past experiences, hobbies and many more. This will facilitate
me in developing confidence as I will get to know the importance of various aspects and how
they can help me in executing the role. So with this I can promptly answer the questions in an
interview which as based on CV.
Personal Networks:
Personal networks are associated with personal relations with the individual with the help
of which the support can be provided to each other in various activities. Such skills are important
for the individuals as with this they can make develop effective relations with others that can
give provide them moral support and also facilitate mutual development and growth (Amrit and
et. al Co, 2018).
SMART objective: To improve the skills of personal networks within a period of 6 months so
that effective support can be taken with the help of continuous interactions with the individuals.
Personal network skills are those with the help of which an individual can develop
relations with the individuals. Such skills enable them in taking support from each other so that
the performance can be improved (Mills, Clark and Peeples, 2016). I realized the importance of
this skills when I was working as an intern. This is because I had no relation with anyone at thew

workplace due to which I lacking the moral support and even professional supports. When I saw
others give support to each other and having an understanding that brings cooperation etc. I
decided that I will develop such skills in me. For this I will interact with as many people as I can
as with this I can develop a sense of understanding the values and beliefs of others. Such skills
will enable me becoming successful in my professional career as with this I can understand
people well which will make me and others supportive for each other.
CONCLUSION
From the above report it has been summarized that each and every individual needs to
work on self-evaluation practices in order to analyze areas of improvement in effective manner.
These kind of activities assist in the career development approaches to attain desired goals and
objectives as per individual’s need. Self-improvement is an ongoing process which are based on
constant learning. It gives several opportunities to analyze strength and weaknesses in order to
work on it by analyzing desired targets and objectives. Such kind of practices are based on good
decision making at a specific time period in order to analyzing desired opportunities by
implementing required improvements.
