INTRODUCTION
This report is going to analyse about the important and key area of research. It is all about
conducting a study by gathering important data and knowledge on a specific topic. This show
that, research skills plays crucial role in developing sense of creativity, data presentation and
gain knowledge on the new information (Monica and et.al., 2022). Therefore, this report is going
to analyse the whole work experience on a research project through applying Gibbs reflective
cycle. It will showcase all the information about the event happened and what further skills need
to develop.

Gibbs Model
This model is an important consideration for every individual who wants to look at own
personal and professional development. By giving self-reflection, a person could demonstrate
what has happened and what should be keep in mind in future. It is a best way to work on the
self-potential by analysing where the situation got turned out and how you managed it.
Description: It is one of the most detailed stage of the cycle in which all the description
will be provided regarding the experience. I was assigned a research project by the lecturer in
order to work on the topic of gender pay. I Got worried about my research skills as it was my
first project which made me curious whether I will score good marks or not. I first confirmed my
topic with my teacher and how could I collect data. I decided to divide my work in a simpler
manner so that I could meet with my research objectives i.e. to analyse the impact of gender pay
and economic development (Soundiraraj and Babu, 2022). Although, I have interest in this topic
but I am not able to work on the same due to having lack of key research skills as it is a broad
concept. For that instance, I started focusing on learning research philosophies, tools and
techniques by attending regular lecture sessions.
Feelings: This stage defines how has the experience gone from starting to end. It
described the whole feeling developed during the practice. I have felt positive at first while
working on the great topic of gender pay as I have good knowledge about it. I felt that, I got a
platform to write about my views and ideas about how gender pay could impact and how it could

be remove by making strategies. Therefore, I felt confident to represent myself as a good
researcher which will boost my skills. Once I started working on gathering data and choosing
research methods, I started feeling worried as I got confused about how to choose the most
effective one. It made me curious to know about all the research approaches and collection of
data which will enhance my skills. I also felt frustrated when I did not meet with the objectives
as I did not receive a valuable data from primary sources. So, I got tensed and find alternative
solutions to gather and collect information which will represent some gender pay differentiation.
Evaluation: It has evaluated from the experience of producing a research project that
there are a lot of things to cover in the single research through collection necessary information.
It shows what things gone well and what needs to be all these are covered in my experience. The
things I enjoyed is to collect new and surprising information by using secondary method of data
collection (Fu and Zhou, 2020). This way I managed to look at my objectives and achieve them
properly. I have used Literature review and collects information though books, journals and
newspaper to present reliability and validity in the content. I insist my peers to help me in to
make me learn about how to write project in well manner.
Analysis: The analysis showcase all about the project details and what has analysed
during the whole project. According to this sage, I have analysed one of my mistakes which
created obstacles in my project delivery which is not following the time table and divide of work.
Due to this, I lack in some of the areas but I improve them in effective manner (Pitt and Soni,
2018). To improve the areas, I gather the right knowledge to achieve an overall growth.
Analysing all the critical factors effectively has helped me in creating necessary information and
make the data valuable. I also analysed that I have worked on building my problem solving and
numeracy skills.
Conclusion: It has concluded form the experience that I need to develop some of my key
skills like time management and research. It will help in gaining better knowledge about the
strategical issue in planning my work outcomes. So that I could be able to consume my time on
relevant activities.
Action plan: The action which is required to undertaken is to work on some of the
important skills that will boost my knowledge and confidence for doing another research project.
I will improve my time management skill by preparing time tables and set priorities (Barry,
2020). Also, I will engage more in research projects and attend extra classes.

CONCLUSION
The report concludes about what have learned from the project in order to learn some
effective skills. It has analysed that, there is requirement of the key aspects of research
methodology and literature review. It is the main component of the research. So, writing and
creativity are the most required skills to work on the projects and achieve objectives.
