INTRODUCTION
Personal and professional development is a process through which an enterprise and
individual engage in a process of learning to attain the desire aims and goals. It can be an act of
making development in the abilities and knowledge of people so that they can execute their roles
and accountabilities in more effective form (de la Croix and Veen, 2018). The development of
people at personal and professional level is essential as it assist in managing their learning and
development throughout their career. It is crucial that individual can constant to learn and
develop to manage their skills and experience update and assure that they do their work
effectively and efficiently. This report will explain about the development if several skills which
are appropriate for personal and professional development of individual.
MAIN BODY
There are several skills which are crucial to execute my work and required to make
development in the personal and professional level.
Team working skills- I have a good team work skill which assists me in attaining and
executing the allotted work of workers in more developed way. Due to have this skill, i
formulated an efficient group through choosing and selecting and talented workers within the
enterprise. Along with this, before forming the team, I also determined the past and previous
performance of team members so that I can analyse that they are able to execute this specific task
or not either need any type of training. The use of team work ability help me in making good
relation with workers as when individual of the team are not capable to execute any task then I
offer them an efficient support to them (Caswell, 2019). To handle a group, firstly recruit the
right individual for roles, get to acknowledge about each teammate, play to people capabilities,
set up ground rules, concur or support on a group mission, promote sharing, guide the
conversation and map aim and tome period.
Academic writing skills- It is a clear, concise, focussed, framed and backed up by evidence. Its
motive is to aid the reader’s understanding. It has a formal tone and style, but it is not complex
and does not need the utilisation of long sentences and intricate vocabulary. With the assistance
of this skill, I can answers the question and show an understanding of the subject and use
effective language and tenses, concise and balanced. To make development in this skill, I will

use online editing and proofreading resources, never forget to plan and structure, get response
before submit my final work and read and write as much as I can.
Presentation skills- It is the ability that I need in delivering efficient and involving
presentations to a range of individuals. These competencies cover a range of areas like the
framework of my presentation, the design of my slides, the tone of my voice and the body
language my convey (Wallin and Adawi, 2018). With the help of this ability, I can convey my
ideas and thoughts to other by designing an effective presentation with accurate information. To
make development in this competency, I will attend other presentations, research by
presentation, utilise optimistic visualization and remember that most audiences are sympathetic.
Communication skills- During the time of executing in a business venture, I make
improvement in my several competencies like communication. This skill is effective and
beneficial for me to share and deliver my ideas and views to others. When I was executing in the
group, due to having efficient verbal and written communication, I was capable to deliver and
share needed data to group individuals so that individual of the team can execute their work in
efficient form. But sometimes, I suffer diverse complexities in delivering an written information
cause of putting accurate words. But I will make improvement init through learning words by
online and other way. Verbal communication is the use of sounds and words to communicate to
ideas of a person, especially in reference to utilising symbols or gestures. Sometime during
presentation and meeting, I feel nervous and hesitate. So to make growth in this ability, I will
speak with confidence ad be a good listener.
IT skills- Information technology ability are skills, knowledge and talents associated to the
utilisation, management, development, design and management of technology (Senin, 2019).
With the assistance of this skill, I can perform my technology related work like operating
systems, office suits, presentation software, spreadsheets and communication and collaboration
tools etc. By read technical books, read online tutorials, subscribes to technical magazines, take
online classes and embrace a range of variety of software.
Problem solving skills- With the assistance of this ability, I can resolve my issues as well as
assist teammates by offering effective solution regarding their problems. Along with this, this
ability also assists me in making good relations with the people of enterprise. Sometimes, I face
issues to solve complex and critical confronts which influence my problem solving skill in

negative manner. So to make improvement within it, I will solve case studies of critical issues
and situations etc.
Decision making skills- It refers to the process of selecting among two or more courses of
action. In wider process of problem solving, decision making considers assorting among
potential solutions to an issue. Decision can be made by either an intuitive or reasoned activity or
a combination of the two (Berthelot and et. al., 2019). With the help of this ability, I can take
accurate decision when I work individually and in a team. But sometimes, in critical situation,
my decisions are not good so to make development in this skill, I will develop my programming
or language competencies, get social online and write down the pros and cons of situations.
CONCLUSION
This has been summarised form the defined information that there are several skills is
required to make development of person personal and professional level. Skills like
communication, team work, presentation, and problem solving and decision making are effective
to grow the person. But sometime they need development and individual can development those
through different manners like online training, getting response and many more.
